Last call for flight SWI101 to Shagaluff. Sangria laced with folic acid on tape. Fake tanned Club reps will be dishing out the 2 for 1 cocktails, dressed in nothing but the most miniscule budgie smugglers. The pit will be manned by sleazy but virile Spanish waiters to provide your every need. Lets see the summer out in BESHley style, IE: starting a bar fight, drinking the place dry and falling over in a heap at the end of the night.

Weird aries as i do exactly the same thing. I loved Micheal Caine in that film, shambolic* alchie that he was.

I used to go to Uni in a much smaller city not far from the one you are talking about. Our local was a back street pub full of old duffers mixing with students, free food on a wed and drips for 10p a pint. It was MAZIN. Used to have lock ins and people in the houses near by would ring up if the coppers were heading that way, we'd switch the lights off and pip down for 10 mins til we got another call giving the all clear, miss that :D mind you there are some pretty oss pubs round here too.

You've hit that there nail on that there head scorchio ;)

Ariesgirl · 21/08/2010 17:23

Exactly, cinco, exactly . The boulevard where all the students live and the crack is dealt and the robberies happen, non? And the said pub has tall tower blocks nearby?

cincotart · 21/08/2010 17:26

Absolutement. I used to go there too! Blimey.

Ariesgirl · 21/08/2010 17:32

Well I never!

MountTheFairy · 21/08/2010 18:01

Weird.

How come I came to be where? MN? Wasn't I in fully blabby mode when you joined? Or maybe I was already lurking trying to finish this silly piece of work? (Which I should be doing now.)

Scorpette · 21/08/2010 18:10

HA! Cinco, I go for my needling in your very area! Don't worry, I won't force you to meet up with me. I'm v shy and have a massive neurosis over my weight Confused I'll drop a few pounds and THEN start stalking you Wink

BTW, I live in a town whose first syllable rhymes with a four-letter word...

I know not of this exciting crack-boulevard-pub. I can guess the area, but I've never lived near there, don't drink and went to Uni in exciting Cheshire Hmm

Orchid12 · 21/08/2010 19:04

Ok, I can guess Cinco (I used to live there too!). Sorry you're feeling pants with the drucks, but hopefully it will all be worth it Smile

Scorps - too clever for my peabrain to work out, sorry! Was going to ask where you go for your needling.

Not sure how to describe where I live without being obvious. I visit the Buzzzz place very frequently, and live not a million miles from there. That's the best I can do without giving you my postcode Smile.

Scorpette · 21/08/2010 20:16

Ahhh, do you RELAX (or get cold) SUFFICIENTLY in the place where you live?

I ought to create cryptic crosswords! Grin

Scorpette · 21/08/2010 20:30

I can't give hints to Needles Lady location now, as lurking randoms could work out Cinco's location from Google. If you were interested in Acupuncture with her (Needles Lady, I mean) we could work out a way for me to tell you privately :) Does the CAT msg thing cost money?

Saladbomb · 21/08/2010 20:39

yep, you have to sign up, its a fiver for a year.

Say WHAAAAAAAAA??? I ain't payin' nuffink. Angry

Orchid12 · 21/08/2010 21:13

Ah ok, had to get Mr O to help with this one! Think I've figured your location out (needed some steer on the four letter word but got once I got that I was home and dry!)

Your guess at where we are made me laugh Wink. It good, but it's not right I'm afraid (close though). I live in a small village next to a town where you might use an alternative to a PAPERCLIP in a FOCUS 1.6 GTI

MountTheFairy · 21/08/2010 21:22

Get a room!

Scorpette · 21/08/2010 21:40

Yeah, I gots it! TYF went to school near there!

PS I've only lived here for about 18 months. Grew up for while in Derbyshire then posh place that sounds like the TOP BIT of a GOTHIC BIRD.

Saladbomb · 21/08/2010 22:01

Yeah I signed up so i could join a book club. I've just finished reading the first book and I loved it so was worth it just for that :o

All this cryptic location referencing is making my head hurt.

OP posts:
Orchid12 · 21/08/2010 22:07

Nice! Mr O and I had our nuptials at the Abbey there Smile.

Small world hey? Not sure if I should be freaked out by two lovely BESHies living nearby or re-assured that I am not alone in these 'ere parts. Am going for the latter Smile

Ariesgirl · 21/08/2010 22:18

I don't even try with crypticness.

Tell us what the book is Salad. I want a good read.

Saladbomb · 22/08/2010 09:55

Its the Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks. Its not for the faint hearted as its about the 'plague' village of Eyam in Derbyshire that voluntarily quarantined itself from the surrounding area when it was infected in the 17th century. So obviously its pretty harsh as about 2/3rds of the population died. But it manages to walk a fine line between grief and hope. I thought it was beautifully written and it doesn't end in the way you are lead to believe it will which is a bonus as I like a bit of a twist.

Headbanger · 22/08/2010 10:37

That sounds a great read, SaladCream: I'll add to the list!

Am intrigued by the BESH-conflation up that there RobinHoodLand. Surely you should meet ASAP and trigger mass insta-diff!

I have raging PMT, so fear the droid approaches. However this does mean I can fully enjoy this year's Notting Hill nudge nudge wink wink.

Meanwhile pliz to give me some views on this! I strongly suspect it's too ridiculously huge to be used as a phone, which is a shame because I am sorely tempted. And it's cheaper than an iPhone 4 . And has a HEEYUGE screen for MNing all the damn day long...

Any news on the interesting 2WOOFL, our Loz?

PollyPoo · 22/08/2010 11:42

Morning Haglets. Just checking in on the 2wooflers. HB I'm sorry to hear the pmt has arrived. Sad Could it not be diff-related Rage? (I got that a lot with 1st diffing, I was Proper Menkul.) That phone looks great - rather large, but do you spend much time on phone, or more time on t'internet? Can you go and look at one in a shop... always helps me make up my mind. TG swears by Android, he has a sony ericsson x10 Android and says it is much better than my iphone (which he despises).

Yes, and where is our Lozza today?

That books sounds great Greeny, I will have to add to my library wishlist.

Anyone join me for flaming sambuca and croissants for breakfast?

Headbanger · 22/08/2010 12:05

Morning PoleStar! Croissants dipped in sambuca for me pliz Grin.

Yar, it could be diffular annoyance but odds are it isn't! I nearly cried in Sainsbury's when a nice young man was unusually helpful. That also is PMTish AND diffish! GOSHDARNIT! The good news is that it's D21 and not a sniff of spotting, and as y'all have been unlucky enough to gather, my last few cycles have been plagued with the stuff (I think last month I had 12 straight days of something or other, which was ver ver boring). So I think things have settled down a bit.

Re. phone - I never ever make phone calls, unless to the OM when I'm at home. I never make them on the move. Phone conversations are evil things. I'm going to go and play with one this pm. Hey Poll, what news on the horrid nasty mouse-smell? And has TG Bucked His Ideas Up yet?

Saladbomb · 22/08/2010 12:36

Hey Polecat Yes reekage update pls? Hope it is all sorted now (preferably by TG while you visited elsewhere) And where IS LLcoolBESH? Pass the Gin and Raspberry jam for those croissants.

HB hmm doesn't sound conclusive that is droid not diff and the lack of spotting is encouraging no? Will prepare the Climbing Equipment of Confidence for the scaling of the Cliffs of Optimism. Don't drop that I had it dedicated to Brigid.

Status unknown in the saladgarden, temp is dropping back to 'normal' and I feel totally totally normal, no sickness, no rage, no mood swings, no sore nips so i am erring back on the side of baby fail again. Trying to mentally prepare myself for disappointment come end of next week. Just hope the shiny bastard arrives sooner rather than later so I can drink thru enjoy the bank holiday weekend. I have a few days off next week so would like to enjoy them instead of obsessing.

Ocarina · 22/08/2010 13:03

Another request for an update on mousegate Poll, hope all is sorted.

Head the lack of spotting is very encouraging, specially as you did lots of SWI Grin. I do hope you're channeling The Rage rather than PMT. How's the 2WOOFLing chez Lorry?

My temps are doing all over the place things so I too suspect the droid approacheth. I'm hoping it'll hang on for a few days to maintain improved LP length, and cos I've got a lot of driving to do and would rather not be dealing with droidness at the same time. I'm off south to catch up with uni friends and their cute children which I suspect will be good but sadmaking at the same time.
