Hi Digi, I had the same thing happen with OPK's, I got a positive and then the temp shift three days later (much later than it should be according to the instructions on the packet) I put this down to stress. I like OPK's but dont believe what they say unless there is more evidence to back it up.

I am being very half hearted with the temping at the moment, its clear that I am ovulating and getting period pain when I should be bleeding, its just that there is no blood.I have done a 10 day course of progesterone and that didnt bring it on either. I think this means damage to the lining from the ERPC and/ or medical management (my mc lasted 4 months!) I am going to see a gyne again today, so until I get that appointment out of the way, TTC seems pretty pointless. At least charting has helped me identify a problem though.

LadyG and MrsA I am getting exited for you two, looks like classic implantation dips. Smile

Whenisitmyturn · 14/10/2010 14:49

Mummy A hope you get some answers soon.

Thetwoladieswithgreatcharts - fingers crossed!!

Only things to report here is that I have OV'd (yesterday)and can stop SWI - hooray! I seem to have settled into a longer cycle length, OV'ing around day 22. Still, the good thing is that it seems to be pretty regular, am hoping it stays that way Smile

Digi good luck m'dear Smile

TerrysNo2 · 14/10/2010 17:33

Want to type but on silly foreign keyboard so it would take forever. Just waving hello from the other side of the sea, and will catch up tomorrow.

sending implantation vibes to all!

PS - my god have I been moody today and I am usually always chilled!!

KC11 · 14/10/2010 21:10

Hi. Sorry to barge in but can one of you lovely ladies give me some info about starting to chart? I sypmton spo every month and my periods ar reular. Short version - had three failed icsi attempts..... now thinking i'd like to start taking my temp every morning and see how the cycles pan out. Daft question but d you need a special thermometer and where can i buy a sutiable thermometer? Sorry for being a div but i've never wanted to chart before and all my friends didn't have to think about assisted conception. My friend is newly pregnant. My confidante has joined The Club after "not trying". How bloody annoying.

LadyGoneGaga · 14/10/2010 21:58

Hi KC11 first thing is to get a proper Basal Body thermometer. You can get them from Boots or order online here

Then best thing to do is to join up with Fertility Friend here. They have some really good tutorials and make the whole thing much easier.

Alternatively a great book (the charting bible) is Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler.

Basically you take your temp first thing every morning after three full hours sleep and still in bed. You also check your cervical mucus every day. When you get mucus that looks like egg whites that's your fetile time. When your temp rises that tells you that you have now ovulated and can stop the SWIing. Of course there's lots more detail than that but that's the bones of it.

We're a friendly bunch and would love to help so check back with any more questions you have.

I know the answer to this really but ...... impantation dip or too early??

I know, I know... am also sypmtom spotting like crazy ... am convinced I have 'evening sickness'!!

LadyGoneGaga · 14/10/2010 22:29

I think day 4 might be a little bit early. Apparently the egg has to hatch before it implants and that won't happen til day 5 earliest - but it's not impossible I guess. Hoping for you! I know what you're saying on the ss - am analysing every twinge.

spilttheteaagain · 14/10/2010 22:50

mousebacon I hope you are ok today. Did you get the negative pg test you were hoping for? Thinking of you my lovely, hoping your body has sorted everything out by itself and that you won't need the ERPC xx

LadyGoneGaga · 15/10/2010 07:46

Woke up to blood this morning, only a little at the moment but dark red, more than just a spot but not full flow. Only 8dpo. What is going on? Temps have dropped a bit but not below coverline. Kind of brings things back a bit. So must be function of post-mc woonky hormones. Or implantation. But not feeling v pregant so prob the former. Gah.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 15/10/2010 08:51

Oh LadyGGG hoping things go OK.

My temp stayed up today but now FF has changed my ov date again - back to day 23, so I'm now 10 dpo. But as my LP is normally 10 or 11 days, I'm half expecting AF to arrive tomorrow or Sunday. Feeling slightly crampy too. God I hate the 2ww.

Chart here

LadyGoneGaga · 15/10/2010 09:42

But your temps still up. Looking good, MrsA!

digitalgirl · 15/10/2010 10:41

ladyggg I do hope it is implantation. Would tie in that dip.

mrsa looking good!

Thanks for encouragement yesterday. Feeling bit more pg today. And had the slightest sensation of boob ache last night. I seem to have put on quite a bit of weight too. Am embracing the changes nonetheless.

MIL dropped off some photos from an ancient disposable camera she's been slowly using over the year. There were a couple of photos of me on the day I started mc-ing last time. Quite sad.

spilttheteaagain · 15/10/2010 17:38

Thanks Truffkin and MrsA for your messages.

I am a crappy charter so far, it's a good job we aren't actually ttc yet using my data! I can't remember to take my temperature when I wake up - this morning I just lay there having a doze/poking the cat for half an hour before I remembered to reach for the thermometer. Need to get back in the habit...

mousebacon · 15/10/2010 23:08

Hi ladies, spilt you amaze me, I can't believe you can still care about little old me after all you've gone through and am genuinely touched Smile

Sadly the test was ever so slightly positive yesterday morning so I rang the ward who said to pop in. I went thinking they would repeat the test and either it'd be negative or they'd say to test again in a few days.

However, I was whisked back to the same epac room with the same 3 staff I'd seen last week and told to 'empty my bladder for the scan' I was completely thrown, burst into tears and said 'but you haven't even given me a pg test!' They were so lovely but it was positive so I had to have another scan and they found retained products. I can't believe it. ERPC booked for tomorrow. Have to be there for 7am tomorrow. Bugger.

mousebacon · 15/10/2010 23:11

Hmmm...just seen the time. Should probably go and wash hair/find pjs/pack magazines etc.

I may change my name to queenofprocrastination just a thought!

Hope you're keeping well ladies xxx

TerrysNo2 · 15/10/2010 23:23

mouse sorry to hear you have to go back, hopefully tomorrow will go smoothly. We will be thinking of you!

MrsA very Envy of your lovely chart - and impressed with the amount of SWI-ing you got in. Wink

LadyG I hope the spotting is a good sign for you, I don't know much about it, never had any with DS. Keep us updated!

Temps have been a bit crazy for me the last 2 days - was staying in a hotel with the worlds worst pillows and so hardly got any sleep and this morning's temp was after 2 hours sleep so I am wondering whether to discard them?? Chart here

Having lots of "symptoms" - indigestion, bloating, lack of appetite, wine smells/tastes funny - which could be related to AF arrival, eating too much and lack of sleep but of course I hope that's not the reason!

AF due on Monday based on last cycle - really want to test.... how long do I have to wait??

Night all!

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 16/10/2010 07:13

Ooh. DPO 11 and temp gone up again. Never happened before (although only been charting 3 months!). Don't want to get my hopes up but then again.... here

digitalgirl · 16/10/2010 08:39

Eek MrsA!

terrys well if Bessie were here she'd say a pg test won't be 100% accurate till 18dpo. I say wait till you're late. But I have a long luteal phase so I made it as far as 14dpo before testing, but even my ultra sensitive internet cheapies were very faint at 14dpo. (got a big bold line this morning though Smile)

mouse poor poppet. Sorry you're having to have an erpc but at least it will definitely reset your body and you can start your cycles properly. Thinking of you today.

spilt did you remember to take your temp this morning?

TerrysNo2 · 16/10/2010 10:09

Hmmm, think AF may be upon me - some light spots this am and a few tummy pains. CD27 today so seems a bit early (thought it would be monday) - will be popping to toilet every 5 minutes from now on!

At least I can start afresh this month if it is.

Congrats digigirl - like the big bold line!!

MrsA that sounds like a good sign, have you tested yet or are you patiently waiting??

TerrysNo2 · 16/10/2010 11:36

Yep AF def here - had been holding onto a slither of hope. Well July is a great month for a birthday anyway!!

spilttheteaagain · 16/10/2010 12:23

I did remember to temp at 7am and was quite pleased with myself for it.

mouse thinking of you today and praying that you're treated kindly and the procedure is swift and you aren't in pain. I'm sure it'll be a long, hard and tiring day for you and DH. We're thinking of you x

Life can be very rubbish sometimes. Missing my baby a lot.

TerrysNo2 · 16/10/2010 13:47

On the bright side, I think I must have OV-ed as temp also shot down this am [http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/315eb3 Look here]] and at least I haven't waited long for AF to come so we can chart this month properly!

Think I will do 2 OPK's a day but even if I get -ive's still SWI every other day from CD10. Does that sound like a good idea?

spilt I hope you are feeling ok today.

mouse lots of love for today - hope it goes smoothly and painfree for you and your DH. As spilt said, we will be thinking of you

Whenisitmyturn · 16/10/2010 14:04

Mouse I hope things go well for you today and that you are treated kindly.

Spilt big hugs for you darling.

spilttheteaagain · 16/10/2010 14:48

Terrys if I was you I would SWI every other day from when you start seeing something approximating fertile CM. From your cycle just finished that's about CD10, but it might be a few days different next time. It looks like you must have ov'd somewhere between CD14 and CD19. Hopefully next month with a full set of data it will be a bit clearer. Hope you're ok today, CD1 is always a crappy one.
