pooo! :(
I was hoping your wernt going to all say that. Never mind, I did tell myself that I was going to take it easy this month and only SWI on days 12, 13 & 15.
I suppose there is still a very slim chance.

When I'm not going to read too much into CD20's dip as that was the morning after the wedding when plenty of vino was consumed! Grin

rocketleaf · 23/09/2010 21:53

Thanks LovelyOrchid feels a little more real although keep expecting droid to come. Prob be in denial for a little while yet. :o In answer to the question in your name, bloody soon I hope!

BTW that sperm meets egg plan is interesting Lady its kind of what I tried to do while charting although hadn't read of that, Worked out when I would OV and did it every other day until the night before OV then on OV day and day after in case I had it wrong (although we kind of ran out of steam a by then) Then tried to get in one more about a week later for "implantation" purposes. I really think that was the problem in the past and also why TB's result weren't very good last test as we just weren't hopping on enough so even if we were doing it at the right time the sperm quality wasn't up to scratch. Could have been a multitude of other factors involved of course but it does seem coincidental.

Whenisitmyturn · 23/09/2010 21:54

SWI on CD15 is fine! I thought alcohol increased temps?

LadyGoneGaga · 23/09/2010 22:26

I SWIed two days before the ov and got pg, IfatFirst. I'd say you're def in with a chance!

I have sore boobs today which is completely random as haven't ovulated yet. Prob just some weird post-mc hormones settling or something.

digitalgirl · 23/09/2010 22:51

Going by your opk and cm I'd go for cd17 ifatfirst but reckon a SWI on 15 to give you just as good a chance as any.

rocket did you sff every couple of days during the last luteal phase? this is usually the time when we revert to our pre-ttc 'once a week' frequency and I was thinking about whether that meant we weren't keeping up with quality control.

Mind you we always end up swi-ing for about two weeks before ovulation as I always hope that it might happen a bit earlier this time, every bloody cycle I get my hopes up for a CD14 ovulation. NEVER happened during TTC.

Currently having major childcare ishoos with DS which is making me briefly wonder how on earth I'd pay for two. However, I'm now of the 'deal with it when it happens' ilk, so not going to think about it.

Ell11 · 24/09/2010 13:20

Rocketbombsaladleaf your news made me Grin Congratulations!

bessie26 · 24/09/2010 14:20

ifatfirst I reckon CD17, and SWI on CD15 should still give you a good chance! (hopefully they were there ready to pounce the second you popped the egg out!)

That "sperm meets egg" plan is roughly what I did... SWI every other day as soon as I saw any EWCM, and then (try to) ramp up to every day if I got a +OPK or a peak on my FM, oh and try to get another session in the day after just incase (although it was often hard to find the enthusiasm for that one). I don't think I ever managed to do the "implantation" one (I'd had enough by then!)

digi agree it's not worth worrying about stuff until it becomes an issue. I'm planning on winning the lottery in time to pay for Christmas Grin

at everyone else

rocketleaf · 24/09/2010 19:29

Thank you Ellie

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 24/09/2010 20:12

Evening ladies, thanks for your opinions, although FF has changed it's mind YET again Hmm it's now gone back to CD15 which is better! :)

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 24/09/2010 20:14

And there we go, ANOTHER flippin pregnancy announcement, thanks to the lovely facebook Angry

OverThePond · 25/09/2010 21:26

Well, if there's one thing I've learned on MN it's to keep any pregnancy announcements off FB.

Question: should a cycle be something approximating 14 post ovulation? If so, I'm in for a mighty short cycle following two wonky long ones. 36 days down to 23 estimated. Which means we've been SWIing too soon or too late for 5 months. Might be okay this time due to a long business trip and a bit of welcome-home-I-missed-you-let's-make-baby sex. I do feel much more relaxed with a chart to obsess over though. Keeps me off the insane symptom spotting.

digitalgirl · 25/09/2010 22:19

OverThePond - approximately. Can be anything from 10-16 days, any less than 10 is considered not helpful for ttc as it takes the average egg 7-10 days to implant. With each individual your luteal phase doesn't differ more than a day or so. Eg if you discover after charting this cycle that you have an lp of 13 days then it will always be around 13 days (give or take a day).

I'm at 7dpo tomorrow which means symptom spotting will start in earnest for 3 days when anything is possible despite having been set in stone last weekend (egg is either fertilised or not). Then by 10dpo when I feel remotely unPG I'll get all depressed watching the temps slide downwards. Oh it's all so predictable.

Went to visit some friends with an assortment of bumps and very young babies yesterday. Bit bored of babies now. Or is it just other people's?

newyearsday · 26/09/2010 16:02

rocketsalad congratulations on your fabulous news!!! xx

MummyAbroad · 27/09/2010 02:05

hello... I have been lurking about but have come out of hiding to ask...

what is implantation sex all about? Very intrigued indeed, can someone explain how that works?

MummyAbroad · 27/09/2010 13:57

Please help! Desperate for info!!

my temps have dropped but no AF! Is this normal? Its been 12 weeks since ERPC, going crazy waiting for AF. Defo not preggas because I did a blood test.

Do I need to go back to the doctor?

bessie26 · 27/09/2010 14:05

mummy - that link didn't work! - the URL should look something like www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2d2a06

MummyAbroad · 27/09/2010 15:11

Sorry!

In my despair I copied wrong bit!

right bit

LadyGoneGaga · 27/09/2010 15:36

I don't think you ovved until day 63 or 64 to be honest. I would expect AF imminently given the temp drop. Give it another few days to make sure and if not you might need a shot of Depo to get your cycle moving again.

cincotart · 27/09/2010 15:40

Hello Lady. You seem like the expert charter round these parts. Is there any point starting to take temps on day 17 of this cycle..would it actually tell me anything...or should I just wait until the next one?

LadyGoneGaga · 27/09/2010 16:53

God, cinco, not really. I read TCOYF though and did the online course with FF which was really good. I expect we'll get half a dozen more opnions and lots of the ladies on here are much more experienced than me. BTW MummyAbroad I think I cam across a little terse earlier as was in a rush. You must be really pisssed off with this WTF ctcle. I'm in a post-mc cycle too and already hugely impatient to see when am going to ovulate. I really hope AF turns up soon so you can get back to "normal".

Cinco it depends whether you think you have ovulated or not. What's your usual cycle length? It wouldn't hurt but if you've already ovved then you wouldn't see a thermal shift so wouldn't be that helpful. If you haven't yet though then it would tell you about your luteal phase and pinpoint your ov date/whether you have ovved or not etc. I really like doing it as my cycle is a bit irregular (goes between 28 and 40 days in last 6 months) and would drive myself potty WOOFLing and POASing and SSing if I didn't know when I actually ovved.

MummyAbroad · 27/09/2010 18:55

Hi Lady, no dont worry, not at all terse, reassuring in fact, if I didnt ov till later then I am still (just) within the bounds of "normal" which is what I so desperately want to be!!

Plan B is 10 days of progesterone, but if AF comes tomorrow that would be much better. After all this bloody waiting, 10 more days just seems like 10 days too many!Sad

Will hold on just few more days..

cinco, I would start now, it might all be a bit hard to decipher at first, but its good practice and it cant hurt. You may be able to look back after a few cycles and be able to really see what was going on. (obviously it would be if that were not possible because you got your BFP straightaway!Smile)

bessie26 · 27/09/2010 19:37

mummy - I agree with ladyggg & think you O'd around 62-63 - the temp drop looks like AF is likely - after this long I bet you will be glad to see her! Shock

cinco I would say start now.. even if you don't get a complete picture of a cycle, it will at least get into the habit of taking your temp first thing in the morning! Grin

digitalgirl · 27/09/2010 19:41

cinco i started temping halfway through a cycle. It was after I'd ovulated but meant that when I got to the next cycle I could tell whereabouts my post ovulation temps should be. Also useful for knowing whether you get a day or two of a temp drop before you get af (well useful insofar as you don't waste a test. Lastly, I found it took me a couple of weeks to work out the best time to take my temps as I don't wake up the same time everyday - so a couple of weeks practise before your next cycle starts can't hurt either.

mummyabroad so frustrating for you. I had something similar when ttc#1 (except it wasn't post mc). Got a positive opk, got a temp rise, but didn't ovulate. Realised when ff was saying I was 23dpo and getting bfn's. Had a very strange light brown period on 25dpo - brought on by acupuncture. Conceived ds the next cycle. So...perhaps an acupuncture session might reset your cycle in the same way.

MummyAbroad · 27/09/2010 21:23

Thanks Digi, thats really interesting. So how did you know that you didnt ovulate exactly? (Is there a page of TCOYF that explains this?)

Dont know if I can find fertility acupuncturist over here in Costa Rica. Want one now though!

digitalgirl · 28/09/2010 11:06

mummyabroad I've only ever had two five day light brown periods in my life. Both times I guessed were anovulatory, just because my periods are normally quite long and heavy for the first couple of days. These acupuncturists get everywhere - there must be at least one in Costa Rica!
