mummyabroad When I came off of the pill (after 15 years on it) I did not have a period for 5 months then it came back and was regular for a few months (although cycles slightly long) and then for some reason they stopped again. I am just hoping that they will be regular again now. They are looking into to possible PCOS with me. I hope AF arrives for you or even better a +ve soon.

Whenisitmyturn · 22/09/2010 14:23

Dani hooray for the AF Smile Hope things start to settle down for you now.

I've also name changed (was a pretty plant/flower type before). So, my intuition was right. Full on AF this morning Sad as predicted. I don't know if it's helpful or not having a chart from when I got PG with DC1 as all I do is compare to it constantly. So, onwards we go...

digitalgirl · 22/09/2010 15:03

whenis sorry af got you.

Bloody ff has changed it's mind again! Now putting Sunday as my ov date. Which means I had a freakishly high temp the day before ov. Not sure about it at all. Any thoughts ladies?

I suppose I'll find out next weekend.

LadyGoneGaga · 22/09/2010 15:16

But it looks like you, ahem, covered all the bases anyway. Hopefully you caught the egg this month, whenever it was!

digitalgirl · 22/09/2010 15:54

Thanks ladyg we've timed it well in the last three cycles (Inc first egg post mc) so am hoping law of averages kicks in - 25% chance should be due in my favour now.

The worst thing about the 2ww for me is knowing I've got over three weeks wait for the next egg if it doesn't work out.

LadyGoneGaga · 22/09/2010 17:26

I know. Fellow 5 week cycler here in recent months! I get insanely jealous with those short cycle girls, if they miss a bus the next one comes back round pretty sharpish! And I would bankrupt myself if using the expensive OPK's. I get the pantsnot for over a week usually.

Hope the law of averages works out for you this month.

I'm in immediate post-mc phase but ttc anyway. So no idea when egg will appear and have read the signs might be a bit conflicting because hormones will be all out of whack. So pant snot is changing texture on almost an hourly basis and temps merrily going up and down! Mr GG away in week for next couple of weeks so got to hope I lay Sat-Tues or that the sperm are of the super, long lasting variety.

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 22/09/2010 19:09

digitalgirl I'm [shocked] at your friend's comment about the 12 week scan!!

Yet another friend has announced to me today! She is a really good friend who I love to bits but was stunned when she told me as she has always said that she isnt maternal and never wants kids!
So, in 6 weeks I've had 7 announcements and 2 births - that must be a record.

Blush at how dumb I am at the name changes, you are gonna have to give me some more clues.....

spilttheteaagain · 22/09/2010 20:13

IfAtFirst she was rabbit food before and she still is now Wink

LadyGoneGaga · 22/09/2010 20:34

She's an exploding side dish.

rocketleaf · 23/09/2010 13:30

BOOM!!!

OverThePond · 23/09/2010 15:53

Hello! I've been riding the buses for a few months and just started charting this month. I thought to give it a month before I popped over here as then I'd have my own full month chart to neurotically compare, but FF is killing me. She just told me my OV day was day 9 (I've just had two 36ish day cycles so that seems bizarre).

my question: is it possible that sharing my bed with my husband and large dog has changed my temps? He was out of town for the first week of my charting on a business trip and the dog was on his side of the bed (horrible, I know I should go over to the pets page. It all started when I was traveling for work for 2 years and he got lonely M-F). Now she's on mine, and he is getting up about fifteen minutes before I set my alarm to take my temp (5:45) so instead of being in the middle of the sleep of the dead, I'm starting to blink and roll...

LadyGoneGaga · 23/09/2010 16:00

OTP not to panic. FF will play roulette with your ov date until it settles on the most likely. Sometimes is hard to tell until it has some more data to give a better picture. I wouldn't worry too much about the dog waking you. I have a similar thing but with a toddler who I play musical beds with all night long. And it doesn't really affect my temps too much - you can still get a usable picture.

So come and join us now, as the first month is probably when you will have the most questions in any case.

Rocket have said this on t'other fred but whoo, hoo!

rocketleaf · 23/09/2010 16:09

Thanks lady Wink I'd agree. Loads of different waking times and alternate time zones haven't affected my temps that much. I think its just that there isn't enough info in your chart yet for FF to work it out properly as its your first month. Out of interest what did you set as your usual cycle length when you set up as I am surprised it hasn't taken that into consideration.

also have you done the 'charting lessons' on FF? They get a bit tedious after a while but the first 10 or so are pretty useful in letting you know how and when to temp and what different patterns to expect.

OverThePond · 23/09/2010 16:11

LadyGG thank you. Was worried we'd missed the SWI window as we've been trying not to burn out too soon since my cycles have been long. Thanks.

digitalgirl · 23/09/2010 16:48

Rocket that's bloody brilliant news!

rocketleaf · 23/09/2010 17:13

Thanks digigirl I am made up and a little stunned. Seems like we have been TTC since Adam was a lad so its a bit of a surprise, but in a good way of course! Hope it rubs off round here.

LadyGoneGaga · 23/09/2010 17:21

OTP don't know if you've seen this...looks quite useful though. I'm going to follow it when have my man here all the time (he's working away during week at mo which stymies the SWIing somewhat - I have to hope for weekend ov-ing!)

bessie26 · 23/09/2010 17:32

Congratulations Rocket ! That's excellent news GrinGrinGrin

OTP FF often changes it's mind about when you O'd. IMO it tries to guess too early I & would rather it didn't say anything until it was sure! Doing the FF lessons as rocket suggests or reading the book will help you understand the signs FF is looking for. I found the quiz on FF really addictive useful too.

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 23/09/2010 19:12

Congrats Rocket Grin make sure you stick around so some of the BFP luck is rubbed off.

FF has yet again changed it's mind, but is still dashed lines so it's not 100% sure. First it said CD10, then it thought I didnt ov at all, then CD14, then CD15 now CD16. I don't understand how info that i put in on CD23 can have that much affect on how it works out OV dates Confused

rocketleaf · 23/09/2010 19:22

Thank you so much bessie and IfAtFat* I so hope it DOES do a bit of rubbing off and will definitely stick around to see you all get your BFPs

If FF is still insisting I oved 2 days before I did even after putting in a BFP exactly 14DPO when I have 28 day cycle. So even tho its a great tool its obviously not infallible. Do you have any other inkling of what day it might have been? I think its open to a fair bit of interpretation.

In fact I am really glad I didnt believe it as I would have tested 2 days ago and no doubt have spent the last 2 days in even worse denial than I have been in today. I POASed like a trooper today - 2 internet cheapies then nipped out for a super drug one (with an internet cheapie on the side just for kicks) :D

spilttheteaagain · 23/09/2010 19:58

Congrats rocket! Grin

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 23/09/2010 20:38

LOL @ IfAtFat* - completely wrong Grin, are the pregnancy hormornes affecting your mind already rocketleaf? :)

I'm hoping thinking it's CD15 as I had a positive OPK on that morning, but had vanished in the afternoon, so hope that it may have happened late CD15.

Lemmie know what you guys think: here

rocketleaf · 23/09/2010 21:12

Eeep sorry IfAtFIRST bleeping heck, not sure if its baby brain setting in or just my normal dizzyness. :o was concentrating on getting the capitals in the right paces and obviously forgot to check the rest of it. I hate to say this if its not what you are wanting to hear but I would have gone for 16 or 17 as your OV day. Hope to be overruled by more experienced charters?

LadyGoneGaga · 23/09/2010 21:33

I'm thinking day 17 as you've still got the EW and cervix is still open - is that bad? When did you SWI?

Whenisitmyturn · 23/09/2010 21:41

Rocketman said this on 'toher side but you're a star. Hope you're managing to take it in, it's truely fab news.

If I'm going for 16. Looks like a big dip on 4DPO which is promising (had similar when PG with mini O).
