Empty thinking of you. Feel free to vent your frustrations here if it helps.

I'm feeling a little better today. DH and I have talked about IVF and we might look into it in a few months. We've got a couple of friends who've been through it. Will have to start saving though!

DD1 is currently at school for her very first day today! She looked sooo gorgeous in her uniform - this has also helped distract me from the ectopic. My friends and family have been absolutely brilliant - I have run out of vases for the flowers and we haven't had to cook a meal since being back from hospital. Having other's sympathy (although I don't want them to feel sad) makes you feel less lonely in the sadness. It really helps.

Anyway - how's everyones charts doing this month? Any promising ones yet? Newyears?

Orchid is Mr O feeling better for the weekend?

hippychick66 · 03/09/2010 15:03

Glad people are looking after you ell - not having to cook a meal etc. That's the kind of support that you really need. i wondered about IVF as a next step for you but didn't want to mention if too early.

All the best, matey. xx

LittleSilver · 05/09/2010 07:17

Ell, really glad you are being spoiled. I thought about asking you how you felt about maybe IVF but thought that might be crashingly insensitive, so good to hear you're still thinking about extending your family.

Empty, how are you doing?

And how's everyoen else? Anyone coming up to a test day?

newyearsday · 05/09/2010 20:04

Empty I can't believe what you're going through, and on top of everything your GP is making your situation so much harder. We're thinking about you lots xxx

Ell glad you're feeling stronger and more positive.

I'm on 14DPO, AF is due tomorrow or Tuesday. My chart's here. I've had tiredness and tender boobs for a week, and over the weekend lots of twinges, which makes me think AF is on the way, bang on schedule....but if my temp doesn't crash tomorrow morning I'll do a test. Gulp.

newyearsday · 06/09/2010 08:51

I'm so shocked I'm still shaking, I'm pregnant.

I did a clearblue digi and it says 2-3 wks, I'm 15DPO today so that's very accurate. It's the 1st positive pregnancy test I've ever seen in my life!

I'm amazed cos I definitely OVed from the left (had pain for 4 days) yet my left tube is blocked, and I was due to have surgery in Oct on the uterine fibroids.

Very nervous about the next few months.

Beattiebow · 06/09/2010 09:38

Hello everyone. LittleSilver referred me over here from another post and i wondered whether I could get your advice.

this is copied and pasted from my other post:

I just wondered whether a change in environment can mean a shift in temp? i was on holiday last week, and back this week, my temps are getting gradually higher. I am on around cd14 i think. Because of this, Fertility Friend thinks I have oved on cd10. I didn't have any other signs of ovulation, and the earliest I have ov'ed in the other 7 months of temping is day 14 (I usually ovulate at around cd19).

So I wondered whether the higher temps could just be as a result of being in a different place this week?

(I know there is nothing I can do now, if I have ovulated, and am carrying swi just in case, but this doesn't stop me obsessing!).

oh and there was an hour's time difference too - and I know my temps are higher the later I take them. Can this also be a factor?

Does anyone know about time differences etc?

I
newyearsday congratulations! I know I don't "know" you, but it's good to see good news on this thread. I have only skimmed other posts, but empty I saw your other thread and wanted to say how sorry I am. I hope you can get some rl support.

LadyGoneGaga · 06/09/2010 10:37

Newyearsday Whoop! Congratulations! So what's going on with your tube? Is it possible to ov from both ovaries simultaneously perchance?

Beattiebow don't know, sorry. Can you post a link to your chart and we will take a look? FF tens to play musical ovulation day though until it settles with one so would just keep on shagging! What are the rest of your signs doing? FFJ?

chocciechip · 06/09/2010 10:50

Hi all

I've just added a poll to my chart - FF is changing its mind about when I ovulated and I'd really like to know what you all think. Would be grateful if you followed the link and had a look and let me know what you think via the poll thingy. I've also added explanatory text there too.

newyears Big congrats. Especially good to hear that news with those fibroids (which I have too!)

Ell I think considering IVF is a positive step, even if you decide against it in the long run. If you do go for IVF, I'd love it if you posted here and kept telling us how you were getting on... DH and I might have to go that route too.

Empty How are things with you?

Beattie I think your temps can be knocked out by travel and by time zones. And on top of that, stress (travel stress?) and I'm sure just being slightly unsettled sleeping in different beds etc. Definitely keep SWI'ing. I'd be inclined to go with previous history if I'd just been on hols like you have.

Hi all

OP posts:
hippychick66 · 06/09/2010 11:11

Hi beattie - nice to see you on here.

The others on here will tell you that i am actually crap at working out other people's charts and I only managed to scrape by on here cos I keep a pen and paper chart of my own cycle. (they should really chuck me off here but they don't have the heart Grin)

I hope someone who is hot on FF comes along to help you soon.

My temp went up to a third level 9 days after ovulation and has stayed up there for 3 days now. i have other symtoms too but i tested this morning with a first response and got a BFN.

It is only day 24 and last time I didn't get a pos until day 27 - so am hoping that i just tested too early - IDIOT! Angry

hippychick66 · 06/09/2010 11:17

So sorry I forgot to say newyears - congrats!! I think it is quite difficult to say for definite which side you ov from. From what i gather both overies prepare eggs and then the one with the biggest and most ready egg pops it out. So maybe you had pains on one side but ov'd from the other.

If you are worried that you may have conceived on the side where your tube is blocked it might be worth asking for an early scan to put your mind at rest.

I still remember my first ever BFP. It was just over 11 years ago but it was such an amazing thing. I kept walking around the room thinking "Wow there's someone inside me and wherever i go - they go too!" Grin

Ell11 · 06/09/2010 14:51

Hooray Newyearsday!!

Beattie When I went on holiday for 2 weeks with an hour time difference I noticed my temps were higher by about 0.2 degrees. I was early in my cycle and didn't expect ov til I got home so I just stopped temping til then.

Chocciechip I voted on your chart but didn't understand most of the text! I never used a FM and I had to google 'ferning' - amazing! I never knew that happened!! I don't think we'll be thinking about IVF this side of Christmas but would like to stay here so if you are here too I'll let you know!

newyearsday · 06/09/2010 16:07

Thank you all so much for your kind words, I'm all tearful xxx

ladygg I had a dye/xray in June and the left tube was blocked, even I could tell! I wasn't too worried, was more upset about the fibroids. Will mention everything to the GP.

hippy good luck, sounds promising!

LittleSilver · 06/09/2010 18:58

Oh newyear that's wonderful! I too remember my first BFP (in work loos, gawping at this blue line) I kept sneaking it out of my pocket to have a look later on Smile

Beattie welcome! Lovely to see you!

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 06/09/2010 19:55

Congrats Newyear Grin, stick around so some of your goood luck hangs around this thread.

Welcome Beattie!

Choccie - I voted and can understand your frustration. Last month FF messed me around so much I got so annoyed!
First it was CD14,then CD15 and finally settled on CD16 - the only flippin day we didnt do the deed Angry Although the red lines were broken, so I'm guessing it still wasnt 100% sure (is that what it means?)

Saladbomb · 06/09/2010 20:16

newyearsday congratulations, thats great news!! (can i please sit in your seat?)

hippychick sounding promising despite the BFN, fingers x'ed for you.

chocciechip am really no expert but i voted anyway, hope my ignorance doesn't screw your poll results!

hello beattie fellow newb here, so can't really advise about the holiday temps, hope you figure it out.

newyearsday · 06/09/2010 20:49

thanks littlesilver and ifatfirst and welcome beattie I really hope my good luck rubs off on you all xx

choccie I had a look at your chart and I voted CD15. You mention in the notes that the 2nd P on the monitor is automatic, maybe change it to H and see if FF recalculates? Hope that makes sense. Good luck too xx

hippychick66 · 07/09/2010 20:26

I am feeling a bit shit tonight.

My temp was still up this morning and my boobs are still tingling but I've had some pink spotting and cramps and I feel sure AF is on her way. I was getting my hopes up yesterday but today I am almost 100% sure i am not pregnant. Sad

I expect my temp will drop tomorrow and that wicked bitch will arrive. Will let you know.

bessie26 · 07/09/2010 21:31

Hi everyone, hope you are all well? Thought I'd just poke my nose round the door to see what's been happening!

newyearsday CONGRATULATIONS! Have you stopped shaking yet? Grin I still have my very first BFP from DD Blush

choccie I think CD15!

Ell so glad to hear you being so positive, your strength is amazing! Smile

Hi beattie I remember reading something in the book about travel/time zones messing with your temps. Do you keep track of any other signs? Defn keep on SWI just incase and post your chart so everyone can obsess provide their expert opinion!

ifatfirst I don't think FF can be sure of anything until you've had the 3 elevated temps. It's annoying you can't tell it to not make any guesses until it's sure!

hippy it's not over until she arrives. FX

Beattiebow · 07/09/2010 22:00

It seems FF was wrong for me as I had a peak on the monitor this am. I'll wait a couple of days to see if I get a temp rise, but it does seem as though travelling etc did push my temps up.

bit fed up of swi though now Smile

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 07/09/2010 22:04

oooh, 3 elevated temps? That's new to me.
Can you elaborate?

Will it not make a decision until after the 3rd consecutive temp rise?

bessie26 · 07/09/2010 22:15

ifatfirst - this is from memory, but I believe THE BOOK says that O will cause a temp rise (above the coverline) and once you've had 3 of these high temps you can be sure you O'd.

I assume FF uses the same rules. They have FAQs about this kind of thing. And also a "game" where you get to nose analyse other peoples charts to see if you can guess when they O'd (WARNING this game will take over your evening!)

Saladbomb · 07/09/2010 23:16

In my (admitted limited) experience FF will not apply a red line until after 3 higher temperatures. But it does seem to change its mind a bit apparently.

Can anyone tell me why my red lines from last month are dotted? I am sure they were solid to begin with but now they are dashed... what ever does it mean?

Sorry you are feeling down hippy and that AF approaches (I agree with bessie tho, it ain't over until she actually does)

Orchid12 · 08/09/2010 08:06

Congrats new years!!! Well done you Smile

Bessie has the old bag stayed away? I certainly hope so!

Salad I think dotted lines mean that FF isn't sure about things, although looking at your chart I can't understand why that would be as it all looks very clear and straightforward.

my chart is confusing me this month. I thought I had a positive OPK on Sun and Mon, so was fully expecting a negative yesterday. However, I had another positive which baffled me. I think the OPK's I am using are too sensitive and I think I'm getting positives when I'm not. Anyway, it means that I think we have peaked too early with the SWI. This happened last month too and Mr O got very fed up with me keep saying we needed to keep going when he thought it was all done with. Also, this month, my temps seem on the high side befoe OV. Does anyone know why this could be? I usually have some lower readings than the ones I'm getting just before OV, which is making me even more confused. Grrrrrr.

hippychick66 · 08/09/2010 10:17

Hi guys - just wanted to let you know that my temperature plummeted this morning, Dolly Parton took her boobs back and AF arrived. Angry

I was sad cos i liked the idea of getting preg the month that our lost little one was due - but it obviously wasn't meant to be.

On the plus side - my temperature chart was text book this month, up and down in all the right places and i had a decent 13 day LP. All good for a 44 year old.

So onward and upward CD1 - boo hiss!
New chart please!

Ell11 · 08/09/2010 13:10

Bah... Sorry Hippy.
