Fab news Honey !!!! Can't have a false negative

Tigger glad you have a little of your bounce back : )

Pleased your first day at school was fun Cheepz and that the classic first day somewhere new cold has emerged already - hope you feel better soon!

(waves to WYG )

VivClicquot · 03/08/2010 09:03

Aw congrats honeywitch. That's so lovely!

tigger - good news that the rabbi has given you the okay, and like magic, am glad you've got your bounce back.

cheepz - am glad you enjoyed your first day at the big school. Were the other kids nice?

In Viv news, we've got our appointments through from the hospital for our next round of tests, scans etc. They want to do blood tests and scans on day 3 or 4 of my cycle, which is a bit of a pain as I received the letter on day 3 of this cycle but it was too short notice to fit me in, so I've got to wait til next month. DH has been called in for tests too, so it feels like we're making headway.

Have also been plotting holidays and other lovely stuff. We woefully under-estimated just how much the prices go up for holidays over Christmas, so my plan to spend Xmas morning on a beach in the Indian Ocean has somewhat disappeared! However, we might try and squeeze something in in early December. Still wondering whether to play malarial roulette. Pros: if I book a holiday to wherever Cheryl Cole went, I'm BOUND to get upduffed, thus not be able to travel there, right?

Hope you all have lovely lovely days.
xx

PrettyVacant1 · 03/08/2010 09:13

Morning Luvverlies.

Sarah sorry no real advice to offer but try not too worry too much (I'm sorry, stoopid I know )
If they were unduly worried they'd have you back in a fortnight.
You could ask for a scan before your 12 week one to put your mind at rest.
Keep us updated xx

Tiggster glad to see you're feeling more boingy bouncy!

Honey wow!
Hushed congrats for you 'eh!
Fingers crossed for you xx

Knitter music does occassional unexpected funny things to me too, mix that with hormones and the advice would
be to run and take cover.

Empty you've not added yourself to the list.
What CD are you on?

WYG thanks for dropping back in and for the lovely message.
Fab to see you're well and save some comfy chairs for us over on the Grads Fred.

Well the DIY is going well.
Spent a small fortune yesterday but eventually found the wallpaper I wanted for Living Room
It's preedy!
Maybe starting to sand the banisters was not the best
idea but I had fun with the paint stripper gun at least.

Today, fireplace and strip living room walls so I can crack
on with decorating for the rest of the week whilst Mr.G is
back at work.

Waves to all and if anyone has any tips on decorating they would be greatly appreciated!

Sucks being a grown up!

Honey and Empty - got everything crossed for you both!

MrsPV - my top tip is to hire someone in to do it Ah, if only money was no object. My second top tip is that the wood paint for doors that isn't gloss is absolute shite and chips off if anyone so much as breathes on it so I'd avoid that.

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 03/08/2010 09:34

Pretty YAY to wallpaper

empty a quiet congrats from me, hope those lines will keep coming.

honeywitch wow, that was quick! yay!

I don't really feel any different yet, just terrified..

PrettyVacant1 · 03/08/2010 09:45

It was a toss up between ver, did I mention be-yu-ti-ful, expensive wallpaper and getting a man or woman who can.
MIL is coming to stay next week and she's a dab hand and free!
Must get up and make a start!!

northerngoldilocks · 03/08/2010 10:00

tigger - glad yesterday wasn't too bad and that you're feeling more positive now.

moof - thinking of you. Hope everything went as well as it could and that you're getting some rest

Viv exciting holiday plans, I reckon go for the maleria countries, like you say, its bound to lead to being upduffed

Honey - quiet 'congratulations' - although just wondered whether the test on which you had a BFN was the same type as the BFP? Not wishing to be the bringer of doom here, and hopefully its not the case, but dif tests have different levels of sensitivity. Hopfully they're not though.

Cheepz glad the first day was good and no one stole your lunch money.

Am at work so need to stop posting and get on with something (something, not being counting days on a calendar and hoping they'll pass more quickly). Hi to everyone I've missed.

Freezingmyarseoff · 03/08/2010 11:09

Morning everyone
wow, so much has happened in the last week,I'm struggling to keep up

Moof so sorry for your shitty week, hope you manage to get some rest after yesterday

Ivy whoop, whoop

tigger glad things are looking up a bit

PV wot you need is some banging tunes

Not much to report here, had a lovely weekend camping, but now lusting after new tent
Big waves to everyone else, sorry i couldn't name check everyone, that'll learn me for not posting more regularly

KnitterNotTwitter · 03/08/2010 12:07

Honey - so (tentatively) excited for you

ledkr thanks for popping in

PV sounds like you've got plenty to keep you busy - unfortunately i don't have many tips - beyond the obvious 'get a man in' if it's something fiddly/time consuming - I don't have the patience for those jobs ....!

Moofold · 03/08/2010 12:28

Hi everyone, thanks so much for your messages and support. It really helps to know I'm not going through this alone, even if i don't know any of you in the real world. Thanks also to everyone from the grads thread who popped on or left messages there x

Had a long day at the hospital yesterday and have survived - physically if not mentally and emotionally. I know some of you have lost more than one baby and will know how I'm feeling - its bloody awful. All those old feelings from last time are back with a vengance. Our little girl would have been 3 and a half had our first bean made it and she'll now be closer to 5 if I am lucky enough to get pregnant within 6 months again.

Got my referral through for the recurrent miscarriage clinic yesterday - 28th of October FFS. After which I imagine there will be more waiting around for test results. I had intended waiting TTC until then but the thought of waiting so long is dreadful. I don't know if I can do that, especially if the chances of actually pin pointing a problem are so low.

Anyway, I'll take a few more days to lick my wounds and then come back properly and join in the fun. 8s as I said on FB, your news raised my first smile. Ivy, delighted for you pal - and excellent news for Honeywitch. Haven't read back properly but hope you are all good x

emptyshell · 03/08/2010 16:39

Lunchtime test produced a fainter line than the morning one... I will not crack and buy a digital until the weekend, I will not crack and buy a digital until the weekend...

Terrified every little twinge is AF descending, especially after 3 months ago when the lines were faint, got slightly darker and then vanished before I mc - I don't dare trust any of this yet (haven't even told hubby). Got really annoying backache - have had for a few days now and keep feeling crampy - but I think it's just trapped wind as everything feels distinctly what the yoghurt adverts would describe as "sluggish".

I dunno. (12 DPO, day 29 of a 28 day cycle that was pretty regular before the mc)

randomimposter · 03/08/2010 17:09

empty at this early stage faintness of line means little; FMU generally will give you a darker result than lunchtime. The waiting is horrid I know. But that's all you can do. And try and relax.

PrettyVacant1 · 03/08/2010 17:31

Hello all from bomb site DIY towers.

Moof good to hear from you sweets.
Sorry you may have to wait around for them to get their arses in gear.
In my experience badgering them works a treat and you may get a cancellation sooner.
Love and hair strokages till you feel up to it.
Don't be too long, I miss you. xxx

Welcome back Freezin' glad the canvas jolly went well.
Good advice with the tuuuunes, they were so loud that Mr.G didn't hear me swear when I saw that he'd just slapped not been what you'd call careful whilst painting the edges in the kitchen red.
White units.
White celing.
You get the picture.
He is so bleedin' intelligent in every bleedin' way but it didn't occur to him to use a tiny brush.
My recent brush up with Green and Red feedback came in ver useful

empty don't panic I'm sure everything will be fine.
If not, you are in the right place for support as every one of us knows how you feel.
Just would like to give a little bit of friendly advice to you.
If you do choose to be part of this support network it would be curteous to occasionally refer to others and also empathize on what is happening in their lives.
We are here to support you whenever you need us but you'll only get out this thread as much as you put in.
Just a thought.

PV - white units, white ceiling, feature red wall (Farrow and Ball Red Earth)? Are you living in my house...? Gosh you have great taste x

hairytriangle · 03/08/2010 18:42

Oh empty I have everything firmly crossed for you!!!

hairytriangle · 03/08/2010 18:45

Ps I've been warned off digital tests in the past as they are alledgedly not too sensitive

PrettyVacant1 · 03/08/2010 18:55

Jolls I was just joking on FB about my wallpaper being Farrow and Ball
It's more like squashed Sundried tomato.
Tis very nice.
Mr.G has somehow, only just recently, seems to have aquired some taste in décor and even worse, seems to have no difficulty voicing this!
Er. Not liking that.
I won with the wallpaper
That or he's warming to "big feckin' flowers"

Jolls you on FB?
Wanna be our Fwend?
And anyone else if you fancy?

ooooooooo... now you will know all my deep and dark secrets!

pinkie08 · 03/08/2010 20:30

Hi, please can I join your thread. I have a 9 year old dd and the most lovely 8 month old baby boy who finally came to us through IVF.

I had an mc 6 weeks ago and am gutted. Thought if such a miracle to get pg without the medical help then might be light at end of tunnel. Now have secretly discovered my sil is pg but no one telling me yet even my mum is keeping it from me and I am so cross.

Is that really wrong I have tried to be pragmatic about my mc but this just annoys. Why why why is that !!! So sorry to come on your thread and start ranting.

Congrats to all those bfps good luck to all those in 2ww.

hairytriangle · 03/08/2010 20:49

Oh and Empty a lunchtime test detects less of the HCG hormone than your first morning one - there is less concentration in the wee - so could that be the reason it was lighter?

Welcome Pinkie08 welcome. Sorry to hear about your loss.

pinkie08 · 03/08/2010 20:57

Thanks hairytriangle

I agree about the digital tests can't bear them waiting for the weeks to change on the clear blue one and it not doing obsessive compulsive disorder to keep testing until it goes onto the next week set. That meant that I knew something was wrong before anything happened

Am now in 2 ww of this first cycle since and don't know whether ovulated or not and. Dh not been around much so not sure if done right days ahhhhhhhh
