Tomorrow Aladdin at Wimbledon. Will Pamela be there or not!!!!! Thank DH for this years choice

FranSanDisco · 14/12/2009 11:03

We're going to Snow White at a local theatre - usually very funny script. We are spending Christmas in the sun so this is a treat for when we get back in January. I used to hate Panto as a child but I love it as an adult - weird!

fishie · 14/12/2009 11:08

aladdin at hackney empire. very sad it will be the last.

Dorothyredboots · 14/12/2009 12:01

We are going on New Year's Day to the fantastic panto at York Theatre Royal with our wonderful dame Berwick Kaler. For what it is worth it is Humpty Dumpty this year - never any plot so it doeas not really matter. It's the best panto anywhere.

Mousey84 · 14/12/2009 12:03

Saw small local one - old mother hubbard at the weekend (saw it twice as once was babysitting a little one so their mum could watch with older siblings) And them seeing Aladdin on New Years Eve.

ISawTortoiseFuckingSantaClaus · 14/12/2009 12:09

Dick Wittington at Yeovil Octagon theatre. 21st Dec.
Will be DS2, DD1 and DD2's 1st ever panto. I can't wait.

Buddleja · 14/12/2009 12:09

Wanted to but when I went to buy tickets I discovered they wanted ?36 for each one. After I picked myself off the floor I decided not to go this year.

I would have like too though - it is Jack and the Beanstalk.

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 14/12/2009 12:18

Robinson Crusoe on Christmas Eve.

Buddleja My brother and I loved to do plays for family. Could you get the kids to do it? We are so lucky that work's social club got us a good deal.

MuppetsMuggle · 14/12/2009 12:39

We went to see Dick Whittington on Sat at the college I go to and it was fab. DD loved it.

silverfrog · 14/12/2009 15:50

We saw Justin Fletcher in Cinderella yesterday.

The dds were beside themselves with excitement (they are only 5 and 2) and had a great time.

Sassyfrassy · 14/12/2009 20:19

Saw Cinderella in Milton Keynes last week, with Mickey Rooney. It was my first panto ever and I just loved, as did dd1.

Fruitbatlings · 14/12/2009 20:22

StAnne - We saw Aladdin at Wimbledon on Saturday with Ruby Wax. I hope you enjoy it more than I did! The jokes were a bit close to the mark - maybe I just wasn't in the mood plus DS1 was being a pita

merrycompo · 14/12/2009 20:26

GooberAndTinsel · 14/12/2009 20:28

Jack and the Beanstalk on New Year's Eve in Felixstowe.
No slebs, thank the lord!

noddyholder · 14/12/2009 20:28

Peter pansy is on in brighton

StAnne · 14/12/2009 20:43

Fruitbatlings I wanted to go to Richmond this year but wouldn't get the discount. Hey!I hope it will be Ruby Wax as I'll be laugh at DH & his mates wanting Pamela I'm sure all the rude stuff will go over Ds's head. Anyway I grew up in the 70's with carry-on and 'Confessions of a window cleaner' Benny Hill and Spanish entertainment shows waer the women we're naked. or did I dream the naughty stuff

StAnne · 14/12/2009 20:44

Sleeping beauty with Lorraine Chase at our local theatre. We have tickets for Christmas eve.

MollieO · 14/12/2009 20:50

Aladdin in Windsor with Wendy Craig (she lives in my village).

Aladdin in High Wycombe with Shane Richie (don't know who he is).

Didn't book tickets for Windsor so didn't realise that we will be seeing Aladdin twice

butterscotch · 14/12/2009 21:07

Shane Richie used to be in East Enders MollieO your recognise him when you see him, used to play Alfie Moon, I saw him in Scrooge a few years ago very good ;-)

My DD's first panto this year 2.5yrs we're going to see Cinderella at Southend £76 for the three of us, but last christmas as the 3 of us as I am expecting in May! I can't wait I loved panto as a child!

My IL's are a bit odd though they are going to see the same thing (with no children) on Wednesday I think they are a bit peeved we didn't ask them they like to be in control and we're probably pissed that I booked it before they could (drive me nuts!)

MrsMattie · 14/12/2009 21:42
