Cinderella on the 28th with DD, DNephew, three DNieces and assorted grannies and aunties. Oh, and DH .

BrigitBigKnickers · 15/12/2009 15:05

Cinderella with Brian Connelly at the CLiffs pavilion, Westcliff this Saturday.(Oh well I suppose we have to be grateful it's not the blardy Chuckle Brothers again.)

Have been going to the panto with DH's family ever since DD1 was 2. She's now 13!

Hulababy · 15/12/2009 15:09

7y DD is going to the panto tomorrow with Brownies. They are going to see Snow White in Sheffield.

exbrummie · 15/12/2009 15:46

went on saturday to see Cinderella in Derby starring Neil Morrissey and had my photo taken with him after.

Bomper · 15/12/2009 16:17

I am taking dc's to see Cinderella at the Orchard in Dartford 'starring' Lesley (Birds of a Feather) Joseph. I am of Bridgitbigknickers seeing Brian Conley, he is always really good in panto!!

JohnnyTwoHats · 15/12/2009 16:31

DD is in a local Wizard of Oz #proud#

vonnyh · 15/12/2009 16:36

Sleeping Beauty at the Churhill in Bromley on Christmas Eve. DD (8) has already seen it with Brownies and says it's very good!

Lovecat · 15/12/2009 18:48

Snow White at the Kenneth More on Monday, starring nobody I've heard of.

DD is going to Dick Whittington in Barking tomorrow with her school, and we'll be attending Cinderella in the New Year by my amdram group, which is fun in a 'so bad it's good' way...

DD's first panto was The Little Mermaid when she was 2.5 and she loved it, screaming 'go away nasty octopus!' at every given opportunity!

HarrogateMum · 15/12/2009 19:01

going to Aladdin at Harrogate Theatre on Saturday. Am expecting mayhem and for DD (3) to need to be taken out half way through for being naughty.

TheWorstWitch · 15/12/2009 19:47

can't stand all that hammy acting in panto, not even as a child.
we're treating DD to Little Angels puppet theatre and the ballet (Sadlers Wells snowman)

ScroogeMacDog · 15/12/2009 19:50

Was thinking about taking dd to see local Cinderella, until we discovered that it is starring Tina and Raymond from 'Me Too'

Not for all the tea in China......

brandybutterfly · 15/12/2009 21:46

Seeing Aladdin in Wimbledon early Jan.

Saw Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in Oxford last week, it's there over Christmas, it was great!!

golgi · 15/12/2009 21:48

HarrogateMum - that's the Aladdin I saw. It goes on a bit (over 2 hours).

Not sure anyone will notice naughtiness.

Harrogate Theatre only has 2 ladies toilets, so go before you leave home!

theGreatPumpkin · 15/12/2009 21:59

We are off to see Justin in Cinderella too, on 24th. As has happened for the last three years, we will have 9 adults and 1 child, although we should have two children by 24th if my baby ever decides to turn up. And the theatre had the cheek to charge me £5 for a baby ticket! If it is that overdue I will be asking for my money back

OliviaMumsnet · 15/12/2009 22:08

brandybutterfly - was CCBB any good for 10 y/o?
What about a nearly 4 y/o? was the childcatcher really scary?

My parents looking for something for my nieces and nephews.
tia for advice

brandybutterfly · 15/12/2009 22:26

Olivia no, childcatcher wasn't too scary and got lots of boos!

We were there with a 5yo and she was fine, I think your nearly 4yo will be fine too.

The car was absolutely brilliant!!

MedusaHead · 15/12/2009 22:41

Another one going to see Justin in Cinderella. We're going on 23rd and I am soooooooooo excited. According to my parents I went to pantos when I younger but can't remember so am looking forward to it.

I am taking my DC's aged 3 and 5. My DS, (aged 3), loves 'Mr Tumble' so I'm sure he will love it.

jkklpu · 15/12/2009 22:48

Saw Mother Goose in Greenwich at Sunday's matinee - v funny for adults with lots of jokes about local shops and Cheryl Cole.

oldraver · 15/12/2009 23:22

Jack and the Beanstalk at the local school, its by the local acting group.

upahill · 16/12/2009 08:53

No I don't bother. The kids go with school and scout and beaver groups so no point in them going twice.

OliviaMumsnet · 16/12/2009 10:05

LOL at widowtwanky delivering baby
Thanks for that Brandybtterfly - will mention it to DM

QOD · 16/12/2009 10:13

We already went to see Peter Pan with Ade Edmondson at the Marlowe arena in Canterbury - he was ruddy brillliant!

Dd is in the childrens chorus of the Folkestone Leas Cliff Hall production of Cinderella this year AND of our local village production of Aladin, she goes straight from one to the other this sunday!

ChristmasMoon · 16/12/2009 12:07

MollieO saw Shane Richie in Aladin last Saturday - very good except for the HUGE man right in front of me .
