Some idiot company decided to give me a full time job earlier than expected, and I have a MASSIVE document to finish; they are paying me a load of money (well more than I have ever earned before) so I feel duty bound as the eager newbie to get it done in my free time...

I have no internet access during the day apart from BBC, tfl and a couple of others.

I have also been ill, not with a hangover from the Christmas Party, but with earache, and have had v little sleep, so had to have the day off work yesterday (so much for the eager newbie)

Anyhoo - this means that the matching will be delayed by a couple of days. Sorry

was hoping to have heard by last night as today was the last chance to get shopping done.

I haven't heard either, but I am taking a trip into town on Tuesday after work as I need to exchange something (this will be my last venture out), so hopefully I may have a name before then.

bella, I had an email from her a few minutes ago saying it is imminent. (I did nag her this morning by email) I'm sure you'll hear by Tuesday.

Well actually, I may have a problem. Bastard Airways (AKA BA) are threatening to go on strike over Christmas and New Year and guess who is flying home during that period to collect DC1 and 2? Have visions of them waiting for me at Heathrow for 48 hours so if anyone lives near there.....

Seriously though, thank god DS1 (aged 16) has gone to Bluewater on a shopping trip with his boarding school today so I've just phoned him through my orders as just got my matches.

Think Fletch should get overtime for working this hard on a Sunday

I agree, which is probably why I packed the teenagers off to boarding school in the UK and kept DCs 3 and 4 (3 years and 10 months) with me
