C'mon on or mine's getting socks! Tell me what you are buying yours so I can pinch all your ideas and pass them off as my own.

DH is getting an Xbox and a couple of games. I'm geting a DS Lite

notnowbernard · 25/11/2008 14:17

I have no idea

Am tempted to bin present-buying for each other and suggest getting a new bathroom window

But is not really getting in the spirit of things, is it?

bodiddly · 25/11/2008 14:20

mine is getting a blu-ray player as our dvd player is broken! plus uno flash from ds and socks, pants etc for his stocking

SaveFerris · 25/11/2008 14:22

Have got DD a Ralph Lauren oull-along suitcase thingy (overnight size), a Wii fit, a tassimo coffee thingy (he has been asking for years - I am hoping he keeps it on his desk in work and not in out kitchen), a photo calendar from DD and DS, and i;ll get him a couple of stocking filler things as he has been a good boy this year! :-)

SaveFerris · 25/11/2008 14:22

I meant DH, not DD. :-)

Rhubarb · 25/11/2008 14:23

Hmmm, I only have around £40 to spend on him.

He'd LOVE a Wii thingy, or an Xbox. Could I make one out of card and sticky back plastic do you think?

What a good idea to hint to your kids that it's time to leave home Ferris!

OP posts:
SaveFerris · 25/11/2008 14:25

Absolutely :-)

How about a used one from Game? Not sure how much they are tho.

Rhubarb · 25/11/2008 14:26

Well I've looked at used Nintendo DSs on Ebay as I had a vague notion of getting dd one, but they are going for around £60 used, so I needn't bother looking at the Xboxes.

Were on a budget of £100 each this crimbo, Last christmas before baby will be here! - He is getting a fleece for work, a mini Maglite torch, the Lost series 4 & a Leicester City scarf and probably a few bits as stocking fillers...chocolate coins, alcohol etc...

Astrophe · 25/11/2008 14:51

series 4 of House (not a surprise), and a book I know he will love (small surprise
He's got me 2 lovely tea mugs (not a surprise, obviously) and a small surprise.

stretchmarkqueen · 25/11/2008 14:52

Liverpool shirt.

MadameCastafiore · 25/11/2008 14:53

Goping in a short while to get DH some tight fitting lycra trouser jobbies for running as he came home from his rum on Sunday with a near frostbitten todger! Not nice in any respect I can tell you.

Luckily just picked upa 30% off nike voucher at our gym too so am even going to save a bit of money on them too.

Also got him some slippers and DVDs - he got me a dog - and he will get me other stuff when I buy it with his CC!

squeaver · 25/11/2008 14:57

Well he's getting a tripod for Christmas. We're so loving towards each other (I'm getting a new diary)...

His b'day is not long after Christmas though and he's getting:

  • something from this indian cooking website
  • a Carl Hiassen book about golf
  • a large pepper mill (fnar, fnar)
  • the DVD of the interviews David Frost did with Richard Nixon

and probably some socks. He quite likes getting new socks.

Rhubarb · 25/11/2008 14:57

"trouser jobbies"???? Isn't a jobby what you do on the loo? Are you saying that your man goes jogging with little jobbies in his trousers?

OP posts:
MadameCastafiore · 25/11/2008 14:59

Noooo - although he has to nip home sometimes in a hurry because running makes him want to go rather urgently!

Getting him those trousers that are really full length cycling shorts so his todger isn't flapping around int he wind getting cold.

If he did anything in his pants he wouldn;t be coming home with them on they would have to be binned on the way - I don't even like his parping in my presence!

littlerach · 25/11/2008 15:00

Hello Rhubarb, how did your sale go on saturday?

Hulababy · 25/11/2008 15:01

iPod classic

bythepowerofgreyskull · 25/11/2008 15:01

I have stolen an idea from here and have booked DH and I evening tickets to the Rothko exhibition at the Tate modern, I have booked a table at nice restaurant and a night in a lovely hotel. In laws are having the kids!

and he has stocking fillers.

Rhubarb · 25/11/2008 15:01

You wouldn't mind his parping if he had one of these!

So he has a flappy todger does he? How about a strap then to secure it in place? Or a Prince Albert?
