C'mon on or mine's getting socks! Tell me what you are buying yours so I can pinch all your ideas and pass them off as my own.

An A-Team t-shirt
An axe
A tarpaulin thing that you make into a shelter when camping (sounds weird but is fab)- from the Ray Mears website
Bottle of Baileys
Fire stick (for lighting fires without a match)
Me!

Also thinking maybe a sex toy...to make the new year go with a bang (this would be his favourite present, I'm sure).

Ooh!! Teebee, I am asking MIL to get husband an axe (big one, to split logs), too.
He wants a new stereo hifi, so that will be quite pricey, he will choose & order, I will wrap.
He needs a new shirt or 2.

blimey, even reading all these good ideas I am struggling. DH really difficult to buy for and has birthday near Christmas too. Even reading this thread, which is full of very good ideas, nothing jumping out which he would like.
So far, I've got him a shirt (boring), and a fleece. Have also got him 2 Obama books - Dreams From My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance and The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream

Will probably get a couple of CDs.

Then am stuck!

Rhubarb, DH's friends wife got 2 tickets to see a band he loves and she doesn't think much of, and DH was chosen to accompany him. They had a fab time.

Othersideofthechannel · 26/11/2008 19:05

That was for last Christmas and they saw the band in Feb 08.

Hi

I have bought my DP a Play Station 3! and an extra conroller and 2 games!!! He's well into them and I have put him of getting one since July

I went to a local game shop rather than a big chain and asked if he would do me a deal. I started a savings club with him and have been saving since July!! I asked his parents and sister and my mum and they all chipped in so it's not too bad.

I'm so excited as he is so hard to buy for and he always gets me really cool things and I can never get him anything that good as he buys everything himself.

This will be the one and only good present I ever get him so I'm dead pleased!

He is 36 but a big kid really

Ohhhh! The bloody band only have gigs advertised up until the end of this month!

Gah!
