Tesco Christmas slots 🎄

Who's else setting their alarms ridiculously early tomorrow morning to join the Tesco queue and bag their Christmas delivery slot? 🤣🎄

My husband gets up for work at 4:45am anyway, so he's already been instructed to wake me up at the same time so I can get myself ready to jump in the queue at 5am!

Thought I'd start a little thread so we can all keep each other company tomorrow morning while we're half asleep, clutching our coffees and desperately waiting for our turn to book our Christmas slots!

Who's joining me for the annual Tesco Christmas slot madness?

Same here, wait time has gone down from 25 minutes to 3 minutes in 11 minutes!

All done … 23rd.. loads of slots for Christmas Eve, but didn’t want to risk the dreaded substitutes (we had no Turkey, here’s some washing up sponges and a packet of bird seed)

Slept in😩. Started at 48 mins at 6am down to 10mins now

That was painless, all done for 23rd.

Done for the 23rd. Only had to wait 8 minutes but when it transferred me had to click the try again as it wouldn’t load the page properly in the app.

I was refreshing the app from 530 onwards like some crazy person, when the queue opened I was 5 mins wait. Loads of slots available Xmas Eve etc but like pp didn’t wanna risk it

I couldn’t get anything Christmas Eve but got the 23rd no problem

Mine says 21 minutes

I’m guessing a lot of abvailability/slots are down to location but who knows! I’m off to drink all the coffee now, good luck everyone

Didn’t join until 6.05 and currently got 18 minutes wait. Gone down from an hour at 6.05 when I first joined.

Booked in for the 23rd, my preference.

I didn't think that I'd haul my carcass out of bed this early, but I was woken by cramp around 5.40 which was a blessing in heavy disguise. Now I can limp back to bed

All done for 23rd which I wanted.

It's what I did. I queued up a basket full last night and so was ready to go with minimum of braincells this morning.

So quick this year! Got the 23rd like I wanted, I’m not as fussy about the new year slot so will book that later.

All done for 23rd at 5pm. Every single slot on 24th was gone!

All done although I am trying it differently this year. I have placed my usual Monday order for both 21st and 28th rather than going to close to Christmas Eve.

I’d been in the app since 5:30, put me at 1 minute wait at 6am nothing available for the 24th, booked 23rd 1-2pm, and another for new year.

It seems 23rd is a popular choice! It feels close enough that everything should be in date but still gives you time to have a small panic top up just incase there are any catastrophes

Also booked between Christmas and new year and just after new year. I normally have weekly shops anyway and there’s a 6 of us before any add ons

Just a reminder, ladies, that you can book more than one slot - so if you’re booking an early one (21/22 Dec or whenever), you’ll probably need another one a few days after Christmas and there’s a two week period covered by the Christmas delivery slots I think. I’ve got one on 23 and one on 29. Well done all round, team!
