Who's else setting their alarms ridiculously early tomorrow morning to join the Tesco queue and bag their Christmas delivery slot? 🤣🎄

My husband gets up for work at 4:45am anyway, so he's already been instructed to wake me up at the same time so I can get myself ready to jump in the queue at 5am!

Thought I'd start a little thread so we can all keep each other company tomorrow morning while we're half asleep, clutching our coffees and desperately waiting for our turn to book our Christmas slots!

Who's joining me for the annual Tesco Christmas slot madness?

I didn’t wake up particularly early last year and I remember looking later in the month and there were still some slots available close to Christmas- maybe they released more. But I’ll bag a slot in the morning, even though my son will be getting the meat and pigs in blankets from the butchers.

Woke up and can’t get back to sleep knowing my alarm goes off in 3 hours

I had intended to be up and in the queue early, but am currently still sitting in A&E with my 16 year old daughter. Been here since 8pm. If we're still here, I'll be in the queue providing my battery lasts that long. If I make it home in the meantime, this may be the year I miss as well be fast asleep!

Dutifully set the alarm for 5am but there doesn’t seem to be a Christmas Queue as yet, just seeing the normal Tesco home page on my phone screen.
Anyone else ?

I am awake so got my self ready with a cup of tea and two devices set up ( in case one crashes!) and found the same thing! Was wondering if I had the right day!

There’s no queue. I’m up already as I start wor before 6. The app will lock down around 5:45am

Same for me, @Yiayoula - nowhere to join the queue yet that I can see. If I scroll down a bit, there’s an option that says “Christmas Delivery Slots - Find Out More” but if I click it, I just get a list of Christmas food.

My two year old obligingly woke me up at 5am so no need for an alarm for me!

Waiting for the app to kick into gear, have definitely been in queue since about 5am on previous years!

@SpidersAreShitheads this is true but in previous years, it’s been possible to “join the queue” sometime between 5am and 6am.

@DoloresOnTheDottedLine yep! This is my recollection too joining queue from 5am! Not last year but certainly before!

Ah right, the email I had said the waiting room is only available from 6am.

I checked back and I’ve only ever been on since 6am so that explains why there’s always been a big queue in front of me. In 2022 I was on at 6.20am and I was 182,902 in the queue!

Was worried I has the wrong day as there's no sign of the 'waiting room' that there's been in previous years.

@Yiayoula I’m not far from you - I’m in Tewkesbury - so I’d have thought our regions would be roughly the same if there was any localisation.

Yeah! Where’s the bloody queue?

I was definitely in the queue before 5:50am last year, because that's the time I sent a photo of it to my friend after she asked why on earth I was active online so early.

North East here, I too thought I had the wrong day. In previous years Ive been in a massive queue from 5ish time. Wondering if the queue will just suddenly appear or I will I have to refresh 🤔

I’m here ready and waiting on laptop and app
my laptop did just close the Tesco site randomly but I got back in immediately
I’m expecting the room to start anytime now
