Thread 3 - the one where things get serious

[Reastie]

All my plans at getting organised in the last thread left me as I realised the thread with referrals was already up and running, so the one I set up I'll link to once the current one runs out!

Welcome one and all to this safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. Please note the tone and intention of the thread and join with spirit as generous as DC helping themselves to the Christmas chocolate celebrations .

Here’s some useful information about how to save the thread or a specific post so you don’t need to have a message to check in for every thread so you have the thread saved:

To watch the thread - click on the little bell that has ‘watch’ under my first message. This adds the whole thread to your ‘watched threads’

You can also bookmark a specific post by clicking on the ‘bookmark’ under the specific post. This saves your exact place in a thread but doesn’t alert you to new replies.

If you have any referral links or codes, please share them on the referral thread here

A reminder that we don't use affiliated links on here please

If there’s anything you think would be useful or good to include in this post then please do tag me and let me know here (or DM me). Also always happy to hear nominations for a thread title.

Really hope I’m wrong but it reminded me of the recent thread in Style and Beauty about spotting the drop shop shops vs “real” shops

Super. Thank you!

What’s so good about them?

They're really good scissors. Nice and sharp and just great to use.

Thanks for the PLouise tip @hugsandpugs! When I clicked the link I also got a pop up for a free mystery bag worth €36 when you spend €20 so I added that and did the 3 for €22 bundle to get it. Because my "total" was over €56 a crystal bad bitch energy got added to my cart for free automatically. And it turns out I had €9 worth of points.

So I got:
Bad bitch energy duo birthday cake (€27)
Bad bitch energy duo pumpkin spice (€27)
Crystal bad bitch energy duo (€27)
Glitter eyeliner set (€18)
(2?) Miceller waters (€12 each)
Mystery bag worth €36
= €159 worth of stuff for €16 including delivery!!!

That's my nieces sorted!

The link for the free mystery bag

Amazing bargain! I did see the mystery bag but I wouldn’t have been able to get that anyway as I’m already a member 🙈

I tried to do the same and failed miserably lol 😂 it doesn’t add the free crystal one for me unless I spend £50

Amazon has 25% off outfoxed at the moment. I've seen it recommended here and I'm considering it for my 4 yo, but wondering if he may be still a bit young for it...

Boots £10 Tuesday hasn’t anything that appealed to me today, but I filtered by brand so could easily have missed something. The Lancôme mascaras were travel or midi size, for example.

This Gouda cheese Squishmallow was the best thing I found.

Guess it depends on your 4y/o but I played it with mine when he was on the way to 5 and we found it very simple to pick up.
If you had the space and were worried about it not being for right now you could squirrel it away for a 5th birthday pressie.

Give Me Cosmetics Black Friday sale has landed. 50% off most things and lots of stuff seriously reduced in the clearance. Some real bargains including satin pillowcase pair for £3. Hadn't heard of them before but have decent trust pilot reviews and seem to have quite the social media following. Found them searching for a microfiber hair turban.

I also got a pop up offering free delivery on orders over £20 (first order only)

http://rwrd.io/ref_0JU4IQK?c this code apparently gives you £5 off.

Sorry am I missing something I can only see option to download to Swirch now? Or are people just doing that as is such a good saving?

Outfoxed is such a great game! We still play occasionally even though my DDs are now 10 & 13 as it’s a quick game and has nostalgic feeling for us! Youngest DD was either 4 or 5 when we bought it so worth a go…

I was wondering this too. If people are planning to gift, is there a clever way to do so? I am not switch-savvy!

I just bought it for now, as a bit of a treat for DS because it was a good deal.

Argos £5 off £50 code if it’s of use to anyone. Valid until Oct 2nd.

I’m looking for a go kart for a 9 and 7 year old and have been recommended Berg but it’s looking super expensive. Does anyone know if they ever have sales/there’s a similar brand that’s a little cheaper? Thank you

There has been a sale on recently with additional discounts as I think it’s ending soon so might be worth looking now if you can

Lovely festive mugs down to £4 on Matalan. There were only 19 letters left when I’ve ordered this morning but thankfully all the ones I wanted for our Christmas Eve box.

I’m looking for an Argos discount code if you have one going spare. Typically, I had one last week but gave it to my sister. Looking to spend £70. Thanks so much.

Berg go karts are brilliant. They often pop up on Facebook marketplace in reasonable condition too.
