I haven’t seen one of these thread yet this year and with lots of “help need ideas for…” type posts thought might be useful, plus I’m nosy and love hearing what everyone has bought their DC

(misers, moaners and the “DC should only gets a resource book, pair of socks and a satsuma” brigade need not comment.)

Three teenage girls 14, 17 & 18 was in my element shopping for them this year if I’m honest.

Phew all done, looking at this I think there is a gap in my youngest DD’s sack (like to keep things equal) so I’d love to read what you have all got your DC.

i love your lists and hope your girls have an amazing Christmas opening it all. I feel for you having to wrapping all though x x

I expect the servants do it 😉

morden123 · 18/12/2025 13:59

OP Spoil them while you can. A lovely childhood is an amazing thing to have. No one knows what will happen later in life and if these 3 girls can look back and remember their amazing Xmas what's wrong with that. Hope you all have a wonderful day

LoudPlumDog · 18/12/2025 14:02

No one should give alcohol to anyone under 18, it will affect their developing brain.

ElfOnTheRampage · 18/12/2025 14:03

Daisywhatsyouranswer · 18/12/2025 08:48

Absolutely loving the fact the op has come on here to Brag, how insecure fo need to show off, with a detailed list of just how much you’ve bought everyone.

genuinely, I could do the same, I only say this to show fhere is no envy, we are also going on a long haul holiday for Xmas and new year, so can top trumps the op. But I cannot for the life of me, imagine starting a bragging thread about it.

amd I sit here smiling highly amused at the cringe factor.

Love it! A stealthier than thou bragging competition.

I like these threads. I always get good ideas on them and there is a wide variety of ages, interests and budgets.

We all talk about stuff that we take for granted but might be triggering for others. Happy families, wealth, health, friendships and other relationships, fulfilling jobs, etc. I dont think the op deserves to be given such a hard time any more than I think the people who are posting about having lovely peaceful Christmases with their loved ones should be given a hard time.

By the way op even if you do own horses wouldn't you still need riding lessons at some point to actually be able to ride them?

Its not an alienware or legion one! It's a HP one I got in the black Friday sale that has a gaming spec. I'd been watching it for a while so bought it as soon as the price dropped!

May I ask which HP one please? I’ve got 10 tabs open and my mind is like 🤯

OurChristmasMiracle · 18/12/2025 14:19

Aposterhasnoname · 18/12/2025 14:29

If you can afford to buy all that go for it and ignore the jealous bunch on here. I have to say though, I did raise an eyebrow at Baileys for a 14 year old

ItsameLuigi · 18/12/2025 14:34

I'll probably miss things out but I have an 8 year old son with ASD and very narrow interests and a 6(almost 7) year old daughter. Single parent. Stockings aren't done yet will just be snacks/small things (shocker)

Son:
-He got a new bed upgrade (it's a gamer style bed with like a TV stand underneath, I decked it out with LED lights, one of those X rocker seats to game on) he got this early. The bed was on sale for 250 though so bargain.
-I upgraded my switch Oled to a switch 2, which meant my son upgraded his switch lite to a switch Oled! 😂 Again, not really a "gift" but kinda is I guess? Probably should have waited to give him it but he'd have known it was mine 😂
-Super smash bros switch, captain toads adventure(I think it's called) And Pokémon z-a
-4 pop figures of wicked characters
-Elphaba broomstick (current hyper fixation is wicked!)
-The wicked duo care bear set
-Elphaba singing doll
-Wicked Lego set
-Animal crossing KK slider Lego set
-Animal crossing house Lego set thingy
-Beyblades arena and extra Beyblades
-Digital camera
-Smart watch
-Headset for gaming with his dad
-New controller for Nintendo
-Jack skellington pop figure
-Spiderman pop figure
-Tinman, cowardly lion and scarecrow care bears
-Air dry clay & play doh
-Colouring pencils (set of 88)
-simpsons toy figures
-glowpad
-knex roller coaster set
-some Bluetooth cat toy? They both wanted 1
-wonderful wizard of oz book

Daughter's list:
-Also a new loft bed which she got early, decked out with RGB lights too and a new bean bag
-a bassinet for her reborn baby (it is a real baby crib but the toy ones are just so small!)
-a clothes rail for reborn baby
-a glinda singing doll
-play doh slime kit
-a fairy Barbie doll
-a real baby activity seat thing for her reborn (again, toy versions are not great quality)

  • a designafriend car for her reborn baby
-kuromi and hello kitty pop figures
  • stitch pop figure
  • cutie reveal Chelsea doll
-share care bear teddy -Barbie DIY lip stick kit -barbie nail dryer and art set -glinda hair set -Jewelry making kit -figure skating Barbie, ken doll -Little live pet sets -Barbie glowpad -bluetooth cat toy -barbie puppy pool toy -Smart watch (for steps and the time only lol) -barbie wardrobe and clothes -hair mannequin for practicing hair styles on -barbie lip balms and more nail polishes

Not 100% sure I'm done though may still pick up some other bits but for now, a week (well 8 days for me as they're with dad this year we alternate!) before it's what they have.

BunnyLake · 18/12/2025 14:39

I’m sure they will have a great time opening their presents. Have I read it right though that all three get the exact same stocking presents (including Baileys for the 14yr old?).

LemaxObsessive · 18/12/2025 14:16

May I ask which HP one please? I’ve got 10 tabs open and my mind is like 🤯

It's a HP Victus, it is called a gaming laptop but I don't think it would compare to the higher priced ones. I'd originally bought a HP laptop with a Ryzen 5 processor and AMD ryzen graphics (again on black friday) as that would be good for Sims and Roblox but then the Victus that I was also watching dropped in price so I changed it. I'll find the invoice for the model etc

BluePeterAdventWreath · 18/12/2025 14:45

Table presents for everyone at mine - they get a cracker each 😂 Clothing and a gift in one!

ALittleDropOfRain · 18/12/2025 14:46

DS9

  • Playmobil Winter sports set (put together from eBay finds)
  • Board game: Game of Life
  • Magnetic building blocks
  • Moon ball (Lidl middle aisle)
  • Original framed newspaper front page from the first time Germany won the World Cup back in 1954 (current obsession- this was an eBay find, someone had found it folded in a book…)
  • Book: Bundesliga football version of a favourite kids’ detective series
  • Football decorated with the emblems of last year‘s Bundesliga teams
  • Tickets for he and I to go to Harry Potter World in London.

Grandma:

  • football strategy card game
  • Asterix Top Trumps
  • Guinness Book of Records 2026

Grandparents:

  • slinky
  • Horrible Histories joke book
  • How to Watch Football strategy book
  • Head torch
  • Flat Stanley compendium (his schooling is in German, but we‘ve got his English reading up to a standard that’ll he should be able to read these independently)

We‘ve also done an advent calendar with little presents for every day. From pens and pencils for school, to bath stuff to Gravitrax tiles and elements to Asterisk Playmobil.

For St Nicholas‘ Day, he got Playmobil footballers to join the existing team.

He has always had unusual interests but that makes buying fun!

He‘s aware we often buy things second hand.

LoudPlumDog · 18/12/2025 13:24

OP - is Baileys alcohol? You bought your 14 year old alcohol? Please say I’m wrong.

Why? its pretty common and completely legal.

Depending on where asked in the UK studies have show 1/3 to 1/2 of kids drink alcohol buy age 14.

NHS study state 'kids who drink a few time per year' ranging from 10% at 11 years old to 57% at 15 year old with 60% of that been given by parents and drunk under supervision of parents and over 70% being drunk in the safety of their own home. There is negligible reports of hospitalization or medical health issues beyond feeling sick or throwing up.

I'm sure it varies by culture as obviously some people don't drink for religious reasons etc... but its certainly not 'uncommon' in the UK for a 14 year old kid to have a drink safely at home on Christmas day.

ThisLilacShark · 18/12/2025 15:04

This is such a lovely idea OP! I love looking at what other people buy so I can get future ideas…

This is our first Christmas as parents (DS is 11 months old). We have gotten him:

Rocking horse
4-in-1 trike
4 books
A bath soap set
A toy for the bath

Stocking: some non-slip socks, a warm hat, some puppet fingers, his first set of crayons and a colouring book (specific for 1-year-olds), baby bath bombs, and some baby snacks.

His birthday is in January so we have struggled a lot to not get carried away buying gifts for Christmas since he will have some more then. Not sure what/if other people will buy anything for him (I think DGPs might make a small contribution to his shares & stock ISA), but I think it’s more than enough anyway!

FrightfulNightfull · 18/12/2025 15:22

My DD is physically disabled and nonverbal (but very active in her wheelchair and is cheeky and funny and CERTAINLY very able to express what she wants)…

Shes getting an AAC device that I really hope she tries to use (this is a gamble) - from grandparents.
An iPad - because she’s discovered how to use touch screens with her mouth and nose (to shrink and enlarge) and change her shows and episodes one of her hands.

Two new books (another gamble- she doesn’t take to new things)

A Vtech kitten toy that purrs (it looks like her favourite cat on Instagram that she copies by closing her eyes and miaowing) - another gamble. She might very well hate it

Another Vtech musical DJ thing - higher chance she will like that as she lives music.

Gorgeous navy jumper with pearl collar that will show off her beautiful cheeky face from her aunt.

Cute cardigan from another aunt.

I wish she liked presents and toys and stuff like other children do but I’d never swap her for anything in the world!
I would however wish for her to sleep properly over Christmas- that’d be the best present I could have.

Allromanticsmeetthesamefate · 18/12/2025 15:23

Oh give over with the pearl clutching over a miniature bottle of Baileys in my daughter’s stocking, she is 14 (rising 15 in the new year) not 4, wait till I tell you she will likely also be allowed a small glass of champagne with Christmas dinner, I’m sure some of will positively combust.

You are asking to be judged. This is a braggy stealth post and nothing more. Your present list is ridiculous.

Sorry but I agree.

It’s a ridiculous list.

It could have been a full size bottle (big stocking 😁).

We were allowed a little alcohol at Christmas but I think I was about 17 when I got (because I asked for) a bottle of Creme de Menthe - the most disgusting drink only a 1970s teenager with no discernible taste could have asked for. Might as well have asked for a bottle of Listerine 🤢

Now my sons are adult their present requirements are very different to a few year’s ago. One is getting a saucepan (at his request).

Marble10 · 18/12/2025 16:32

I’d love to shop for 3 teenage girls! 🥰

Instead I have a 7 yo boy with limited interests 🤣

CraftyPlayer · 18/12/2025 16:39

I don’t think a small glass of something with Christmas dinner is the same as actually gifting them alcohol.
If I put a mini Bailey’s in my 14 year olds stocking she’d think I’d gone mad 😂

goudaandserrano · 18/12/2025 17:02

DD10 - I know it is loadssss but it’s just me & her on Xmas (GPs have sent money so some of this will be from them), she’s such a great kid, LOVES a prezzie but isn’t spoilt in the slightest, she has autism and life can be tough for her sometimes so I don’t really care 😅 she’ll love it all! And the room stuff will give her something to do over the holidays , she LOVES a little room makeover.

Main presents: tickets for legally blonde & six the musical, and clue presents for her to open before and try & guess 😬

legally blonde clues:

Korean name necklace (her name in Hangul) - she’s teaching herself Korean so will love this.

Line of Duty poster (Mary, Joseph quote)

chickenfucker · 18/12/2025 17:09

The thought of where to put all this stuff is stressing me out 😊 I try to get less and less stuff each other as it just clutters up everywhere, our house is already full to the brim.

Middleagedspreadisreal · 18/12/2025 17:15

Why the need to say the names of the makers of things? Why not just socks, pants, jacket, hoody, bath bomb, perfume etc?
