Welcome to Christmas 2025!

This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread here and share around the joy/referral perks.

This playboy set is nice and comes in a big box. Could add a small selection box each.

I'm after cluedo junior if anyone sees it on offer pls, it seems the only game that isn't at the moment.

Or any recommendations for kids aged 6 and 8 pls. We have played junior monopoly this weekend as were all stuck in sick, and it feels we're moving into the next stage of board games, albeit still happy to play crocodile dentist with little sis 😀

We got it in brand new condition from Vinted - genuinely would buy all our board games from there now as the kids don’t notice once it’s opened anyway

Is there anything that encourages Argos to send you money off vouchers? Ds has unexpectedly asked for two things that would be easiest to buy from there.

EweProfessorSurnameDoctorProfessor · 07/12/2025 14:08

Any ideas about what to get for a work white elephant present for £10? I bought a long hot water bottle from these threads last year and it was the most stolen present!

Does anyone know if the b&m 3 toys for £20 is this weekend only or if its ongoing please? Had a look on the app but cant find an end date.

I saw that it was just for this weekend and so ending today.

nicky2512 · 07/12/2025 14:45

@Puffalicious too late for you now but for Blundstone boots, if anyone is unsure about sizing try Aussieboots. Ds now has a both Blundstone and Rossi boots and the girl at Aussieboots was fantastic at working out what size I needed based on other stuff he had. Very very knowledgeable and gave me a discount for buying two.

I need to find a gift for the couple who have everything. Early 60s, like naice food and wine, travel and generally expensive things. I thought about an Alessi bottle opener but they probably have one already.
Budget around £50.
Previous years I've given them a fancy LBV port, Neom room spray, English Sparkling.
I'd be grateful for any suggestions, particularly bargainous ones

Posh olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Tesco have it on offer. I think it was £16 with a clubcard.

Can anyone please help me out with a present for 2 girls aged 4 and 6. I was thinking a joint present they could play with together would be nice and I had ordered the play doh cake play set whilst it was half price but unfortunately wasn't able to collect it on time. I'm open to separate presents but only have a shared budget of £15-20 so trying to find something that looks substantial.

My same age DGD love the Toomies bath barista toy.

Has anyone found the crocs cozzzy slippers at a better price than £22.50 please?

IlovePond · 07/12/2025 15:21

Hi, if anyone is still up for popping to Boots at this time on a Sunday, I have just got my Day 7 Boots a/c freebie by buying a no7 Future Renew item I was going to get anyway, (as I also had 20% off no7 today).

It’s a mystery gift, but I can reveal that it’s a choice between ONE of a no7 product, mostly from the pro artist range with a £15+ purchase from no7.

As follows:

blush
lipstick
eyeshadow palette
brow gel
mascara
concealer

You can choose got the palette and staff told me take up of the offer had been slow - probably because no one knew what the mystery gifts were, (including staff at the first shop I tried!)

I am delighted with my free palette and some of the above would make good stocking fillers.

hby9628 · 07/12/2025 15:22

@Whoevenaretheywhere have you seen them for that price? That seems pretty reasonable

Wowsersbrowsers · 07/12/2025 15:25

@Whoevenarethey would also like to know. I spent £32 on the adult ones and felt like i got a good deal!

Wowsersbrowsers · 07/12/2025 15:26

hape fire engine now half price on Amazon at £47

It's a really big toy and the second hand one we bought (for not much less!) feels really well made.

Christmasnearlydone · 07/12/2025 15:40

I would be so grateful if anyone can tell me the best/cheapest place to get an Owala water bottle. Thank you in advance ☺

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 07/12/2025 15:44

Thanks to all the lovely posters with tea pot suggestions, some very lovely ones I’ve bookmarked to look at propely later. I am trying to avoid Amazon for if I can (really really not easy) but appreciate all the helpful replies.

@hby9628 & @Wowsersbrowsers Footlocker?

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 07/12/2025 15:49

Also another request, and that is a as waterproof as possible shoulder bag for DD similar in size and “aesthetic “ (young person speak for look, apparently) to the Radley Pocket Essential (now discontinued in style she likes and she’s using mine right now and loves it but it’s not coping well with rainy walks to college). Looks like this -

We have looked at Rains which I think look good but apparently not stylish enough 🙄

She’s not a fan of Longchamp but I’m guessing they aren’t much more waterproof than Radley anyway

@HeadOfGregor what about a Laithwaite’s hamper. If you register a new account using one of the codes on the referral thread (£40 off an £80 spend) you could get an £80 hamper for £40 or alternatively this Laithwaites hamper is lovely (I’ve bought three) and you could get another small one for yourself for the money.

@PinkPanther27 Smiggle have some lovely Hello Kitty bits in their sale. Unfortunately I can’t find a free postage code but could still come within budget. I also second @IVbumble suggestion of the bath barista toy. I bought it for my niece in the summer and she loves it.

Can anyone help me with the Levi’s points please? It’s dh’s “birthday” today. I’ve got to the bit where it says he has 1500 points and to select the voucher I want to use. I’m selecting the £10 but it’s not taking it off the total amount. I’m in the App and signed into his account.

@hiredandsqueak, I've just bought this kettle during Black Friday and its very good. It boils to different temperatures depending on the type of beverage. The keep warm feature is really useful too. There are other brands who produce similar models

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0D2NXJDP8

Just a warning, I’ve had this kettle for about 18 months and you really have to keep on top of the descaling or it doesn’t work - just stops boiling half way through and turns off, personally I wouldn’t recommend it and I’d suggest the dualit kettle as there have never had been issues with the one DM has. we also had the Ninja toaster over which we returned after 8 months as it just gave up and showed random error codes. Ninja are great for air fryers but that’s about it.
