Thread 13 - the one with a cheesy advent calendar of 67 jumpers

1000 replies

Reastie · 29/11/2025 20:25

Decided to combine both thread title suggestions :)

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for helping me out and I'm so excited that I was on my computer and she tagged me so I could set this one up - hurrah!

Feeling super festive today after getting the decorations up and visiting Father Christmas. Exciting news is the Christmas bedding and jumpers are all down from the loft and being washed, so I'll soon be able to walk around in my 'I [heart] Christmas' jumper Xmas Grin

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or you think would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.
Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!
As we move towards actual Black Friday (does that even exist any more?) the threads tend to move very quickly. It can be helpful to post your bargain in bold. This can be done by adding an asterxix either side of a word with no gap in between. So Levi's would be Levi's

You're right, it is Bournville, but very nice

Glad it's nice as it's a present for my dad.

Heading to Flying Tiger tomorrow to get Christmas boxes (as suggested for hamper goods - thanks!), what else should I be looking out for? Recommendations!

If you have small children to buy for they have a lot of wooden play food items and crockery/baking sets etc which are less expensive that Melissa and Doug (but more than IKEA). Lots of stationery items that would make good stocking fillers - I love the cylindrical tube of black HB pencils with a sparkly jewel on top as they hold a point really well.

Not very exciting but I know a few people have have bought the iO toothbrushes, in Tesco today I managed to get a pack of 2 heads for £7.50 which seemed a good price.

Not a bargain but I know it’s very popular currently. Zara kids have some k pop demon hunters clothing in

Anyone got any recommendations for a potion kit? Can be outdoor or bath based but something they’ll really love? Children are 5 & 9. TIA

I'm a bit late to the Anthropologie party, but I finally have my £20 voucher... however it's only applicable on full-priced purchases (fair enough). Because of their Black Friday sale, literally nothing on their site is full-priced, so I can't use the voucher. Did anyone find a way around this?

I bought a Jellycat coffee amuseable

Thanks to the person who told everyone us all about the £20

Is anyone else finding it overwhelming to keep track of everything they have ordered? I mean I know it’s all confirmed in emails etc but I find I’m getting lost about what has and hasn’t arrived 🤣😅

Every time I order something I just put it in notes on my phone then when it arrives I just tick it off.

That’s a good idea! I’m not sure I can be that organised though 😅

I’m so glad it’s not just me! 😅 Royal Mail delivered 8 parcels Friday and I felt like I didn’t have a clue what was going to be in them til I opened them 🤣

IlovePond · 30/11/2025 17:49

Thanks @Sasha07 for the pics and everyone else who answered about the pjs. I suspect they would be far too long for me - shall give it some more thought!

FuelledByRageAndHaribo · 30/11/2025 17:50

I just use pen and paper, write down a list of what I’m waiting for, what needs returning, and any outstanding refunds. A few years ago I had a confirmation email from JLewis of a return, but I didn’t actually receive the refund, it took a fair few emails between me, them, and PayPal before it was sorted so I always keep track now.

Has anyone found any discount to buy theatre gift tokens (I.e voucher for numerous theatres nationally) please?

Londonmummy66 · 30/11/2025 17:58

My anthro perks Jellycat coffee arrived today - very cute and DD will love it. I had suggested her sister signed up to buy the rabbit but see that it is no longer available.

Londonmummy66 · 30/11/2025 17:59

Posted to soon

Also - Bloom & WIld have 41% cash back via Quidco today so I have bought an Elizabeth Scarlett pouch - will see if it tracks.

Please note a huge number of theatres that used to accept them no longer do.

I ended up having to travel 80 miles to use the last of mine and I had been able to use them locally for years.

Anthropologie Am I too late for the £20.00 offer if I’m not can someone explain what to do as I can’t find it many thanks

bizzey · 30/11/2025 18:06

I am presuming the Anthroperks discount thing will finish by tomorrow so prices should be back to normal ?

Now who would have thought a lot of us on this this wonderful Bargain is thread were waiting for the prices to go back to normal full price before we bought anything !!

😅😅😅

In the market for a small Christmas tree gift for an elderly relative, anyone have any recommendations? I remember a code last year

If you mean giving a small Xmas tree then Bloom and Wild are recommended lots for this.

If you go onto the website and scroll down to the bottom there is a reference to Anthroperks. If you click on that it will ask you to sign up. WHen you do do you must agree to be spammed with emails. Almost immediately you will get offered 10% off and receive loads of emails about their current sale. If you just keep ignoring those a few days later they will send you an online voucher for £20 off a full price item. You can then use it to buy any single non reduced item on their website. WHen you activate the voucher you must be signed in to your account. WHen you go to checkout the £20 will be taken off your item. So I bought the £23 jellycat coffee charm and it cost me £6.95 delivered which was a big result as DD is obsessed with them! Other people have bought L'Occiataine gift sets.
