Thread 13 - the one with a cheesy advent calendar of 67 jumpers

Decided to combine both thread title suggestions :)

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for helping me out and I'm so excited that I was on my computer and she tagged me so I could set this one up - hurrah!

Feeling super festive today after getting the decorations up and visiting Father Christmas. Exciting news is the Christmas bedding and jumpers are all down from the loft and being washed, so I'll soon be able to walk around in my 'I [heart] Christmas' jumper Xmas Grin

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or you think would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.
Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!
As we move towards actual Black Friday (does that even exist any more?) the threads tend to move very quickly. It can be helpful to post your bargain in bold. This can be done by adding an asterxix either side of a word with no gap in between. So Levi's would be Levi's

Is anyone else finding it overwhelming to keep track of everything they have ordered? I mean I know it’s all confirmed in emails etc but I find I’m getting lost about what has and hasn’t arrived 🤣😅

I use an app to keep track of mine

zacsGranny · 30/11/2025 18:44

I'm also having to use notes on my phone to keep track of deliveries and returns.'
BTW my Whistlefish cards arrived today and they really are gorgeous - even the packaging is stunning!

Ardagusdubh · 30/11/2025 18:52

Apologies if I missed this before but does anyone know a discount code for a white fox hoodie? I missed the brilliant deal the other day because I wasn’t sure but of course my daughter now definitely wants one!😩

redwinecheeseandothersnacks · 30/11/2025 18:56

If you are buying for a Harry Potter fan, House of Spells have 20% off until tomorrow with free postage.

Does anyone know what the holy grail gift set is on Elf? I can't seem to find what it is.

MrsClausCanCanCan · 30/11/2025 19:02

Does anyone have any recommendations for nice chai tea? I got my BIL some Teapigs loose chai last year, so wanted to try something different this year! Are individual bags better? Or does loose seem more "premium" do you think?

It’s not a gift set, it’s just 3 items they add to the basket. A lip gloss, a lip liner and a face cream. If you add items to the basket until you get to £25 it will automatically add them.

My hi smile orders have arrived! Really impressed actually - they look great and the two minute timer function will be great for DC to remind them how long to brush them for 😅

anyone know if the offer is still going and could someone potientally help me with the riddle tonight? I’m so impressed by them that I want one myself now 🤣

RL shopping yesterday & got lovely locally sourced foodie things- chutney/ honey/dipping oil/ balsamic vinegar/ oatcakes/ ginger wine/ cheese (more cheese!!!) & I'll probably try & do small hampers with them. Any ideas on kits anywhere? I could buy small baskets & cellophane myself, but wondered if kits might be better value OR if anyone has more eco-friendly ideas other than cellophane?

I've picked up some (metal) storage baskets from primark for the (little) hampers I have put together. I'm hoping they might get reused making them more eco than some of the kits you can get. I'm not sure I would have a use for a big shallow wicker one you get in the kits. There seems to be lots of choice online (didn't know primark had gone online till this thread). Really pleased with how nmmine have worked out and they were fun to put together as the kids actually got involved too.

Charity shops quite often have baskets in various shapes and sizes?

Thanks reastie. I took a chance in the cheese 🤞

Ughy · 30/11/2025 19:15

@MrsClausCanCanCan I have a relative who is a chai tea fanatic and has tried many- Tea India Masala Chai Tea Bags are the best (I’m told)

I'm really sad and have a spreadsheet. It's evolved over the years but has columns that are colour coded depending on if its ordered, arrived, returned or wrapped. I also have columns for RRP of the item, price I paid and the saving I made. I really do need to get out more!

Anyone got any recommendations for a potion kit? Can be outdoor or bath based but something they’ll really love? Children are 5 & 9. TIA

Hooded owls do lovely potion kits for the bath. My 7&9 year old are obsessed. They are pricey for essentially soap but I bought through Not on the High Street and was able to use blue light discount. Hooded owls actual website are running a Black Friday discount which I think finishes tonight. And you get free shipping for your first order

Im in hospital so having to rely on family members searching for parcels left in bins, behind bins🤣 I think I need to stop ordering for a while.

Oh wow! Thats mega organised! I’d love to do the same if I knew how to do a spreadsheet 😅

LoopyGremlin · 30/11/2025 19:55

@hugsandpugsI use an app called Gift List. You put in the recipients and then add gifts. You can select from idea/bought/arrived/wrapped. You can include photos, web links and costs too if you want. I find it useful.
