Thread 13 - the one with a cheesy advent calendar of 67 jumpers

Reastie · 29/11/2025 20:25

Decided to combine both thread title suggestions :)

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for helping me out and I'm so excited that I was on my computer and she tagged me so I could set this one up - hurrah!

Feeling super festive today after getting the decorations up and visiting Father Christmas. Exciting news is the Christmas bedding and jumpers are all down from the loft and being washed, so I'll soon be able to walk around in my 'I [heart] Christmas' jumper Xmas Grin

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or you think would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.
Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!
As we move towards actual Black Friday (does that even exist any more?) the threads tend to move very quickly. It can be helpful to post your bargain in bold. This can be done by adding an asterxix either side of a word with no gap in between. So Levi's would be Levi's

Bridal Beauty offer

Be wary of Bridal Beauty, loads of people have had problems with out of date products and boxes not as described. Also very poor customer service.

I know someone mentioned the other day (thank you) but just to repost in case someone else missed it, the entertainer have buy 2 toys get 1 free at the moment. I've just placed an order for a load of bakugan and akedo, all £5 each for my boys. Some of them are £17.99 on amazon EACH. Great for stocking and party gifts. The offer is for everything and ends at midnight.

Thanks for this! Just checked and the cheaper Akedo are out of stock now but what a bargain!!

Apologies if I missed this before but does anyone know a discount code for a white fox hoodie? I missed the brilliant deal the other day because I wasn’t sure but of course my daughter now definitely wants one!😩

Not sure if it would arrive in time. I have a (slightly stained) one on Vinted I’d be happy to post you for just postage and you could wrap it up for the day and tell her a new one is on its way). Pm me if you’d like me to take it off Vinted.

20% Cashback from TCB on Lego store

Carrie76 · 01/12/2025 09:14

@AndSoFinally they’re like a supersoft sweatshirt on the outside and polyester on the inside. He’s currently wearing them otherwise I’d upload a pic.

He suffers with crippling anxiety and rarely leaves the house so spends a lot of time in them!

WhiskyandWater · 01/12/2025 09:17

@Carrie76 sorry if you e said but have you checked eBay/ vinted for the same ones in a bigger size?

WimbyAce · 01/12/2025 09:19

Thanks to those that suggested the hairdryer method to take off a v annoying delivery label on my daughter's gift. I was highly dubious as it was such a thin label and paper to paper effectively. But it worked a treat, gobsmacked!!!!!

Carrie76 · 01/12/2025 09:42

@WhiskyandWater genius idea! Will do that now

Heylittlesongbird · 01/12/2025 09:45

@Puffalicious It might be worth looking at Hobbycraft. They have a range of hampers and crates. I've received gifts in one of the hampers and it looked so professional.

Fuckingfuckssake · 01/12/2025 10:03

@WimbyAceit’s one of the most useful tips I’ve ever picked up on MN, along with the sellotape dispenser. I love a bit of TKmaxx and those labels were the bane of my life.

Yeknom · 01/12/2025 10:30

Ahh missed the bubble t set, out of stock!

EuroTour · 01/12/2025 10:32

Nike men's hoodie at less than 30 quid on Amazon ;

Nike Hoodie

Lots of sizes still available

@fruitfly3 I love the potion lab - they're not cheap but if you go for the frog froth kit it gives you the ingredients to refill the potions. Ours has been played with for many hours and I've resorted to bulk buying bicarb and vinegar for refills! They have 15% off until the end of the day. https://thepotionlab.co.uk/products/potion-kit

Boots gifts 4 for 2 in store only, and you have to activate it on your advantage card first

Sorry I meant to say it tells you what the ingredients are to refill the potions (not gives you refills).

Moonlightfrog · 01/12/2025 11:07

Amazon have hungry hippos but TMNT version on offer for around £11 if anyone’s looking for a cheap gift.

Dd has asked for some goldfish biscuits (from America) does anyone know the best/cheapest place to get them?

Cuwins · 01/12/2025 11:18

I get really cold hands and I have several pares of these https://www.houseofbruar.com/iona-handwarmer-gw25022denim/?locale=gpb&glCountry=UK&glCurrency=GBP&src=webshp&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20817995701&gbraid=0AAAAAC8kpAqHydRCCcNr_K3Y6izd8nXM5&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIpZDC2aCckQMVw5hQBh0F5CF5EAQYCCABEgIE5vD_BwE

they are fingerless but they are really warm as they are fleece lined. They are usually around £22 but are on offer in several places at the moment.

Thanks. Mum has poor circulation in her fingers so not sure fingerless would help

nottinghall · 01/12/2025 11:56

25% off Elizabeth Scarlett, pretty toiletry bags+++. Was mentioned on a previous thread

Celtic and Co do lovely lsmbswool gloves . Full finger or fingerless. I’ve bought the men’s before for DH and they’re warm. Eyeing up some for myself.

They’re fair isle and £32 plus delivery but code XMAS25 is still
working to take £20 off full price items (not the recycled cashmere though for some reason)
