Literally anything.

Yes even a Bayliss and Harding giftset.

I'm just happy someone thought of me, even if it is a token "oh bollocks what do we get her?" present.

mydogisanidiott · 24/11/2025 18:35

Hotel chocolate gifts
Christmas tree decorations
Wooly socks
Scarf
plants

Gliblet · 24/11/2025 18:38

Books
Chocolate
Earrings
Hand cream
Warm socks
Nice stationery
Miniatures of things like Baileys (I don't drink often enough to make it worth opening a normal size bottle)

MumoftwoNC · 24/11/2025 18:40

Socks
Nice bars of soap (not shower gel)
Olive oil
Wine
Glassware or crockery from charity shops (a nice plate, champagne coupe etc) - they're so beautiful compared to the minimalist modern stuff in department stores but also I know they didn't cost much so I'm not sad if I break one

HangingOver · 24/11/2025 18:40

ANY confectionery. I'm vegan so grabbing yourself a sweet treat isn't as simple as swiping something off the shelf at the till. Everyone gets me vegan chocolate and cake and sometimes smellies every year and I LOVE it

MumoftwoNC · 24/11/2025 18:41

So funny, the overlap between this thread and "stuff you dread receiving" thread!

FastTurtle · 24/11/2025 18:42

Gift vouchers, especially for coffee shops

Any accessorises such as bags

Hand cream

Baisically everything I’m fortunate enough to receive.

Twiglets1 · 24/11/2025 18:48

I like it when I get nice things I asked for.

This Christmas I asked my husband to get me a bottle of a particular perfume and it will be nice to unwrap that on Christmas day and start using it. In return I got him a coffee machine that he chose.

The older I get the more waste upsets me and people wasting their money on unwanted gifts. I try really hard to only buy people gifts I know they will like.

Sipperskipper · 24/11/2025 18:49

Candles - even cheapy ones, as I will always use them somewhere.

Baileys

Nice bath oils / bubbles

I currently have a bag of the Gingerbread flavour Doritos but I'm too scared to try them because I think they are going to be terrible 😂
