The non hypothetical gammon sell by date is 10th December. Mine went straight into the freezer.

Saturday will be clean-a-long-a-Christmas .
I have a ton of laundry to do , aim to get some out tomorrow (meant to be clear and sunny with a breeze , but cold . So I'll take a chance )
Then all the bedding on Sunday as we have that half price electricity deal .

Got the cake done last weekend and it does look ver' ver' nice . Gave it a good dose of Amaretto and put it in the pantry wrapped in parchment and foil to mature .

Dd1s bf here this weekend, so I'll be doing some cleaning tomorrow.
Dd2 is very busy with college work so probably won't see much of her.
Then the usual ironing of work shirts for next week 😩

I'm in London next Thursday. Looking forward to seeing the lights, though I won't be in the main tourist bits when it's dark, so it may not happen! And I'm not staying late on Friday to see them.

I'm staying in a hotel near the Tower, so that'll be good fun. We went up the other year, which was amazing! I won't be doing that this year though. I'm trying to decide whether I'm going to have time to do a little shopping. Probably not!

Bloody hell it's cold out there this morning! 🥶🥶

We have culverts in the estate to hold rainwater (flood plain, so the water needs to be channeled) and the smaller lengths of these have frozen!

Going to London on 30th of December - one of dd2s gifts is tix to a West end show 😊
We'll be taking whichever friend she requests too, and have booked lunch in Covent Garden 😊

I'm in London a couple of days after you Fluffy. Just to have a mooch round at all the Christmas stuff and a drink at the St Pancras champagne bar.

I bought the last stocking filler for DS today so that means I just need something sweet to go in the DDs stockings and I'm done.

I also bought the chocolate for my chocolate log and the blood orange Buck's Fizz from Aldi.

I’ve been moving bits of my Ocado order forward as I realised the offers I thought k was getting don’t apply for Christmas delivery! I have ordered some bits for dh to make some chocolate chip shortbread I saw on TikTok this morning.

I think next year I want to take the kids into London to look at the lights and do something mildly festive. I’m on crutches and can’t do much at all this Christmas, so I’m making wish lists for next years active Christmas!

I'm there for a client meeting. But took Friday off to make the most of it!

I think it's meant to be wet next week, so that won't really be wandering about weather!

I got a frozen Pavlova crown and strudel today to put away for boxing day.

I'm loving Slow Horses. Really good TV.

Sainsbury's are in my bad books. No large gammon (subbed for two small ones) in my delivery for later, one of the boxes of beer wasn't available so it meant I missed the offer on the second. The subs for the missing party food are shocking. I'm sending all the subs back as well as the beer which missed the offer. I'm going to go to the shop to see if I can sort it out!

Argh! That is annoying. We had a Sainsbury’s order when we were on holiday and instead of sending birthday candles they sent 12 full size dinner candles!

I have been to Sainsbury's and got my gammon. Bloody loads there, so I'm pretty sure they just didn't look very well for them at the other store (they don't do deliveries from our local one; it comes from Liverpool).

I also stocked up on beer and got 7 more bottles of wine, plus two more Buck's Fizz.

We have soooo much wine! It'll definitely be a merry Christmas! 🎄

I’ve had to make another couple of mini Christmas cakes as requested by family members so they’re in the oven, and I’ve got the cranberry sauce on the stove cooking away with a glug of port - smells very festive here!
All while listening to heart Christmas 🎅🏻

That's annoying about your delivery Fluffy but at least you got more wine!!!
