Here we go...time to go go go all the way to the big day.

I've taken a Nytol and still can't get to sleep. Annoying as I've got somewhere to be tomorrow morning so can't catch up at the other end of my sleep.

My M&S flowers arrived earlier and are very pretty. There's half in the dining room too.

Oh, they are pretty. Mine arrive today (hopefully; Amazon failed to deliver a twitch present for DS today and are now saying it'll come after Christmas ).

I did get to sleep in the end, thankfully. I hope you did too, Woolly.

I've been to gym and supermarket/local shops 4 times!!!! Either forgetting stuff or they didn't have what I wanted. Was at M&S at 7am but it didn't open till 7.30am so that was a bugger. There were loads of empty shelves in M&S, it was horrifying so ended up going to Sainsbos which was very well filled. Then
I went to the local florist and treated myself to eucalyptus thistle ilex gypsophilia and some willow which i'll arrange later.
Got to build DD's armoire now and I'm expecting it'll be a nightmare.

I had a quiet half hour this afternoon so I've written my timetable for tomorrow's dinner. We eat in the evening - it used to be so that we could finish before Dr Who.

This morning my DDs and I were volunteering at the prep session for the local community Christmas dinner. They peeled and I chopped and I have a blister then we went out for a bacon butty and a cup of tea. It was a lovely morning. This afternoon I filled and iced our Yule Log. It's very rough looking rustic 😂

Today :

Made marzipan and icing and finally decorated the cake ( only I eat it )
Made Sticky Toffee Puddings ( we ate some and I can freeze some)
Made Chocolate Crispie Cakes

Made lunch ( vegetable schnitzels , fish fingers for DS , triple cook chips , dips )
Watched Eastenders
Watched the Christmas Eve Ghost Story
Did laundry , tidied up , loaded dishwasher at least three times
DH was working at home

Finally ( knackered ) going to bed hopefully no heartburn

Tomorrow will be a busy day
Enjoy .
I have to sneak DD presents into her room without her noticing ( she likes things Done Proper )

DC still sleeping, those early days are sadly gone. I didn't sleep well (too excited) so I've had a strong coffee, checked everything looks good downstairs and I'm back in bed. Will be getting them all up in half an hour.

Morning to all Count Downers

I woke at 6am and listened to the radio ( LBC) an while then showered , dressed ( no Christmas in my pyjamas thank you ) now got coffee .

DD has coffee and her presents
DS has a selection box and his present ( money )

I'm going to start on the vegetables prep soon which I do aimlessly through the day so it's all ready when I cook .
Nice long weekend to look forward to

Dinner prep under way. I am cheating with frozen veg but needs must. Only four of us this year as the parents live near Fluffy now. Will be unusual but lovely at the same time.

I was going to make Bread sauce but alas , I had no cloves.

I use the packet mix for bread sauce as it’s only me that eats jt. It’s really pretty decent.
