This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

It's nearly time! November is tomorrow and Mariah Carey will be officially announcing the start of festivities Grin . Hope you're all well and just wanted to give you all a massive thank you so sharing these wonderful ideas and codes etc. It helps me SO MUCH. I know I don't post much on here (various things going on) but I appreciate this warm place of mn so much.

@Newmummy343 I do seem to recall there being bigger discounts than that last year, might be worth holding out for Black Friday.

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows if buy a gift website gives a further discount than 20%? There is 20% off just now and there is something I want to buy for someone's christmas but I was hoping there would be a bigger discount on black Friday and wondered if anyone knew? Thanks 😊

@Newmummy343 it depends how much you are planning to spend but I'd check regularly. Their halloween offer was £10 off £30 spend / £20 off £60 and various more money off depending on spend and they seem to constantly have different offers on

Realfastfoodie · 02/11/2025 19:15

I’ve just had a message about an extra 20% off sale stuff at Brand Alley with the code EXTRA20. I have found anything yet to buy myself but there are some nice pjs and slippers here at around 50% already off, so another 20% definitely seems like a bargain if they have what you need.

Oooh thank you as what I want to buy is £70 so £20 off would be great! I'll keep an eye out thank you 😊

How do you find the quality of them? I noticed that the quality of the pyjamas in the 3 for 2 deal last year was absolutely terrible. Are the bales better?

Hello,

they were bought for gifts last year so can’t comment on the washing quality but they felt incredibly soft, I’m sure they also did the slinky soft ones that I thought were lovely during the colder months. Sorry that’s not much help!

LostMyRubySlippers · 02/11/2025 19:28

Just seen on play pennies that bargain max have kids sock advent calendars for £20, code SOCK5OFF takes an extra £5 off.
6 different designs inc HP, wicked, stitch

Does anyone think Amazon haul will be doing Black Friday? Looking to get some cheap stocking stuffers for a lot of people

VelvetThunder · 02/11/2025 19:33

Whilst looking for other football gifts for my son, found this arsenal bottle which seemed reasonable. Other teams available.

Also got grip socks for a reasonable price from there. Thanks to other posters for the idea. My son loves grip socks so they'll be perfect for him.

Looking for any advice on the best time to buy perfume. I’ve got requests for Good Girl, Sol de Janeiro and Glossier You but a bit confused on when or where to get the best price, do I hold out for Black Friday or are the prices pretty set online - help!

Boots are currently great value for Sol de Janeiro, Spend over £50 20% off already then another 20% with SOL20 plus a free gift if you spend over £40.

Got advertised the furreal Handfuls (i like the red panda) but have so many similar animated things already the kids lose interest in straight away.

it got me reminiscing about my Palm Pets I had growing up which were SO good (I had a little bunny that shivered and a chick that cheeped) which sadly don’t seem to be made anymore; the closest I’ve found are the Pitter Patter Pets at the entertainer for £5 Dog and Cat - so have ordered 2 dogs because I thought they looked sweet and £5 seems a good price.

I know in years gone past there have been great offers on the Leaofrog Ice Cream Cart, can anyone remember where it was? And if anyone has it, is freshly 1yrs old too young?

DGC loves theirs at 16-18mths old. I envisage more imaginative play in a few months. We paid £34.99 using the £5 off Argos sign up.

Delahot · 02/11/2025 22:31

Anyone seen anything bargainacious for inside crackers? I’ve done whistles, lottery tickets, chocolates, mini puzzles and drawing a blank.

If anyone likes Solace jewellery looks like some good offers. 65% off and some items with a further 20% off

Very pleased with the Laithwaites discount code '30OFF' for new customers when you spend £95. Just bought a red wine advent calendar for my dad for £70 instead of £100 and it looks really good. Friends have bought them in the past and raved about them so pleased to have got the discount! Considering the white wine one now for me haha

hugsandpugs · 02/11/2025 22:56

This 100ml perfume is currently £13.79 on just my look. Cheapest I’ve seen it

Also the lynx advent calendar is currently £36.98 on Amazon (usually £60). Seems to be decent products inside too including socks, grooming set, shower gels, sprays, towel etc

I’d love to buy my son a mighty max. I get sad about toys that no longer exist too.
