Thread 6 - the one where things are getting organised

Reastie · 10/10/2025 10:26

This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

Hope you're all well. I've just put in a big Temu order for stocking bits and bits for work. They gave me £8 off my next order yesterday as two orders I had are arriving late and, when I contacted customer services about something, they also gave me a 20% off voucher, so I saved £20 on my order!

Thank you to the poster who posted about plastic tat

I respectfully decline to accept you opinion and would ask you to shove it somewhere someone might care

Anyway.

Did I miss anything good?

Same quandary here (Very have excluded gaming from the new customer offer now anyway).

I can get 6% off by buying a gift card through work, and I think that may be my best discount. But I'll be gutted if it does drop much and I already have it!

Also trying to find a deal for the switch 2 and two games (Mario and donkey kong). I was hoping that I might get an Argos code but no luck yet! It’s just so expensive I can’t bring myself to buy it…

NoWordForFluffy · 15/10/2025 16:29

I have a £3 off £30 code on Argos, but I'm thinking of buying from Curry's as they have Switch + Mario + steering wheels for £432. That seems like a good deal. Then buy Zelda separately, as games are more likely to be reduced (Zelda was on Amazon, not sure if it still is).

Can anyone recommend a milk frother? The wand type for a milkshake loving teen.

Anyone know of somewhere that does customisable 'lego' baubles that are a reasonable price?

I got these a few years ago, they were good

I bought an aerolatte hand held whisk from
lakeland with one of the discount vouchers two years ago which was one of my dd’s fave presents so can recommend that. I think it was about £10 with the discount but prob gone up a bit since then.

Another plea for help I’m afraid, I swear my eldest is literally testing santas patience this year any idea where I can buy individual figurines? Like little people etc, she is wants figures like her family for her doll house (she did say this ages ago but I had hoped she had forgotten about it) l so I’m trying to find a girl red hair a baby a lady red hair and a lady blonde hair 🫣 short of just buying massive packs of little people I reckon this is one Santa may have to miss off the sleigh

Have you seen tender leaf dolls? Not sure they’d be the right size but they sell them individually, definitely there’s a blonde lady and a baby. ‘My small world’ shop stocks them

Certain Lego gives you 5,000 worth of nectar points on Argos! Which I think equates to £25
