This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

Hope you're all well. I've just put in a big Temu order for stocking bits and bits for work. They gave me £8 off my next order yesterday as two orders I had are arriving late and, when I contacted customer services about something, they also gave me a 20% off voucher, so I saved £20 on my order!

Anyone here with tips on how to save some cash on Charlotte Tilbury makeup? Should I wait until Black Friday?

She does bluelight, think it's 20% off and there is a Charlotte tilbury app which sometimes has offers.

Another plea for help I’m afraid, I swear my eldest is literally testing santas patience this year any idea where I can buy individual figurines? Like little people etc, she is wants figures like her family for her doll house (she did say this ages ago but I had hoped she had forgotten about it) l so I’m trying to find a girl red hair a baby a lady red hair and a lady blonde hair 🫣 short of just buying massive packs of little people I reckon this is one Santa may have to miss off the sleigh

Try dolls house emporium they have quite a few figures 51 women hopefully one fits the bill. Sorry just seen your sorted, got a bit behind this week 😔

Not Charlotte tilbury but I needed some new foundation and went back to my trusty Lancôme tent idole (after finishing a CT Foundation) when I nipped in to boots today they had 2 free gift and £10 off foundation so I got my foundation, concealer and some cleansing milk and I got a free large make up remover and little gift set (which I will be gifting) all for £76.80 which when I needed to get the foundation & concealer anyway I was pretty chuffed with this was in store but I’ve added it in my basket online to show the free gift as it’s squirreled away currently

Wait until black Friday if you can. Last year I was stalking CT markup and it was cheapest on BF, I think there was 20% off nearly everything and also good offers in John Lewis for BF.

Women of Britain.

I ask you to stop this Christmas hysteria - there is enough plastic tat and anxiety in the world without pointlessly creating more.

@InsectsMatter Im Irish and I love Christmas and tat, and find this thread to be joyous. Isn’t it nice that we all like different things?

Last year they had a great sale the week leading up to Black Friday, including bundles with up to 50% off. They tend to do a mystery box at this stage which is generally well thought out and great value.

It’s these ones I couldn’t figure out how to do a link as I use the app 😬😊

This book was a surprise hit in my house last year. My boys love reading through it at bedtime and telling their friends all the weird facts they've learnt! Great price

Just to add - I just topped up on some Doublewear foundation at Debenhams - you can activate 10% cashback with PayPal and also there’s 5% cashback with Topcashback

Sleeposaurus · 15/10/2025 20:53

Has anyone ordered the middle cushions from the online home store? I am wondering if they are any good. The Christmas design ones are £6.50, but loads of others for around £12. I know they can be hit and miss for quality so I am wary of ordering.

Problem is, he has memory problems (not dementia) and finds technology difficult. He only goes out when I take him (though is on the rota for rare outside visits run by the care home). Our children bought him a Pictureframe and puts photos on it, but he seldom switches it on.He used to love DIY and whisky but his hands are trembly and he's had a tricky relationship with alcohol. He's such a lovely man, but it's difficult to buy him anything!

Sorry, don’t know if anybody suggested this as I’m about 20 pages behind but you could make him a little book with vouchers in, with a date per month and a plan of where to take him . Since he won’t have much in his diary I presume you could do it to suit you.
so, for example, 15th Jan, Drive to the seaside for fish and chips/ice cream eaten in the car watching the sea.
20th Feb . Go to tea shop xxxxxxx where we will meet “Peter and Jane” for tea and cake.
18th March . Go to xxxxxx park where we will go for a walk (push him in a wheelchair) to look at the daffodils .
12th April - Go to xxxxxxx (national trust, English heritage ) gardens and meet “Bert and Doris” for tea in the tea shop
5th May - Go to xxxxxxx ( favourite restaurant/pub) for lunch then drive in the countryside to count baby lambs.

Give him your time and company. He will appreciate that more than any other gift.

Edited

Mine's showing up as £16.37! Pity as my DS would love it!

I also have a hail mary request! Im looking for tiny ben and holly figures, they're about polly pocket sized and bend from the waist. We found an awesome castle recently second hand but didnt realise it was for tiny people, of which I can find very very few. Like the three on the right in the picture, but holly, gaston and nanny plum are the most important people to have here... If anyone spots any, or even what they're called so I can search better, I'd be very happy!

Just had a message from the amazon hoody seller (the one selling goodies 2 for £2.99 or something). I bought a women's zip up hoody for £8.99 I think so not one of the super cheap goodies and they've just told me that it's been delivered to the wrong address but they are going to bare the loss and refund me.

Would be interested to know if anyone else has had similar. It sounded like BS to me so I have a feeling no one will be getting there orders no matter how much they paid. Not sure if its a coincidence I've been getting a load of spam emails recently 🤔

I had an email saying it had been stopped at customs and they were going to bear the loss and refund me, so very similar. Was it the 8.99 fur lined hoodie?

I noticed this summer that 13000 of my Nectar points had been spent in Wembley in March when we live in Newcastle and hadn’t been anywhere near Wembley. I stupidly wrote them off thinking that my husband must have lost his nectar card and someone had used the points but I now realise it’s a bit of a scam! I’m going to contact the Nectar live chat tomorrow. Thank you to the person who posted about this earlier.

That's such a lovely idea! Thank you. Together with a whisky cake, that will make him one happy Dad!

Anyone here with tips on how to save some cash on Charlotte Tilbury makeup? Should I wait until Black Friday?

I got 25% off Charlotte tilbury on ASOS with the code RANDOM a couple of days ago. They tend to be 24hr codes so not sure if its still on but they do have sizeable discount codes quite often.
