The Christmas Bargain Thread No 2 - The one where it all went very fast

Posting on behalf of @Reastie as I'm guessing she's busy and the last thread was almost full.

This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread <a class="break-all" href="https://_[[//https//www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

As a heads up with biscuiteers, there was an offer shared on here a few years ago that I used. They then cancelled the order a couple of days before it was due to arrive without telling me by which point it was too late to get a decent alternative. Biscuits are beautiful though.

Thank you! I choose to get them delivered straight to the recipients on 23rd December, maybe that wasn't the best idea!

Sometimes the Boots stuff comes into stock as the day goes on. A lot of things tend to be OOS first thing but not later.

Thank you. Annoying if you can only be on your phone looking at the start of the day!

Theraffarian · 09/09/2025 09:09

Not sure how much use this will be as Christmas presents , but my Sainsbury’s had the summer toys reduced today to clear. From £2 for bats and ball sets to £8 for largish paddling pools .

WhisperingAngelisnotbad · 09/09/2025 09:26

Tesco have a Paperchase concession and a lot of it was reduced. I bought some for 13 year old DD and she was so delighted that I have stocked up the present box with it for her friends. Lots of cute cats, rainbows etc, ingeniously decorated notebooks, etc.

hugsandpugs · 09/09/2025 09:57

My Whistlefish order just arrived! Super impressed with these storage boxes that were in the sale for just £2.50 each! Opted for a birthday one and a Daisy one. Can be used for storing cards or the patterned ones for multiple uses - letters, tea lights, wax melts etc.

Had £5 off my order too so only came to £10 then p&p was £3.75 for two of these boxes and 10 beautiful cards! Would highly recommend! ❤️

I received my HolliesLollies order and its fab. Customer service was fantastic and they sent me the tracking details.
It was Royal Mail who let it down they delivered yesterday by letting themselves in our side gate, hiding the package behind 2 wheelie bins and not leaving a note to say.
Thankfully Holly was able to send me the tracking number so I could see that it was delivered and where!

Does anyone think Smyths toys is likely to have any kind of sale? My dds main present is only sold there but hate paying full price for anything 😁.

They normally do spend X save X…not massive amount though, think last year the maximum was save £10 when spending £100. Believe it was around Black Friday x

Snugglemonkey · 09/09/2025 10:59

Can't remember who to tag, but ty for the aldi waterproof camera top off. I got one and lots of crafty stocking fillers. Now to find refills so we don't run out of film on Xmas day 😂

Isittooearlyforchristmasmusic · 09/09/2025 11:05

I found my hollieslollies order behind my bins. I didn't receive any tracking info, so no idea how long it had been there. Under the circumstances I'm not complaining but if I'd purchased before the closing sale I would have. Maybe the reason they are closing and selling leftover out of date stock, is because of their logistics.

Lego has an extra £25 cashback when you spend £160 on Quidco today, have to be quick to opt in though as it’s limited. I’ve put my Quidco link on the referral board in the hope it’ll help pay for all the bargains I keep buying on this thread 😅

DonaldTrumpsTwitterFeed · 09/09/2025 11:59

Did anyone buy anything from the Etsy candle store linked on the last thread that someone mentioned? The site had pear and freesia candles for less than a third of the price of Jo Malone.

Would be perfect for DILs but I don't want to spend so much money if they're not any good. I'd need to buy £42 worth as it's three candles per box and one box each. And thats still a decent amount of money

Dafi24 · 09/09/2025 12:11

Popped to my local Aldi today and found the little bluey lego packets - an excellent little stocking filler for DD so thank you whoever mentioned that. They also had a giraffe hopper down to £5.99 which will be great for 18m old.

hby9628 · 09/09/2025 12:12

I’ve secured 1 x Oreo milkshake! Need to find one more. They had some decent stock coming in at b&m. They also had freakshake sets & these biscoff toast plates which are cute. They had a Nutella version of the plate too.
