Posting on behalf of @Reastie as I'm guessing she's busy and the last thread was almost full.

This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread <a class="break-all" href="https://_[[//https//www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

Any places for cheap bikes?

Ewock · 08/09/2025 14:21

Has anyone received their Hollieslollies order yet? I got a confirmation email with the order but haven't heard anything else. Thanks

I didn't order from them but I know they are closing down so perhaps they have been overwhelmed with orders. I always worry about ordering when a company is going under though

Thank you. I'll email them to see what they say

Our B and M is sadly lacking in the Christmas tea towels , but they are in the middle of putting things out , so perhaps by next week .

For anyone that uses a paper diary , they had ones that match my specific requirements, just in case yours are the same ! £3.50 , decent hard cover , pages thick enough to write on , spiral bound , an elastic ribbon that hold all my excess paper in place , A5 , and with pages for notes , week to a double page . Realised just how particular I am as I typed all that out , so probably just me !

Look like lovely quality gloves! Down to £2.90 with free shipping, I’ve ordered a pair for a friend 😊

These would make lovely teacher gifts!

Tryonemoretime · 08/09/2025 10:40

Would it be suitable for a 10 year old? It sounds brilliant!

@Tryonemoretime my ds would have been round that age when he got it. He played with it for a long time. Loads to do with it.
Also a kit recommended on here to build an engine. Oh and a marble mania marble run for age 8 to 99! He still builds it sometimes and he’s off to uni next week to do engineering!
Hotwires def the best though.

Dreamland heated throws are back in stock, with more colours now available on offer. Also don’t forget to use welcome10 as it takes the price down to £27.00

ILoveCatsAndKittens · 08/09/2025 15:22

This watercolour rainbow doll is only £8.50 on Asda Geirge website. Make sure you go through the toy sale banner though as when I searched again for it (to screenshot and add to here!) it comes up as £35!!!

Thank you!!
I looked a few days ago and they were out of stock.
Bought one each for my teenagers.

Lock picking kits on Amazon have been popular previously

Also have you seen Teifoc building kits with real bricks and cement? Mine loved these.

Be careful if ordering this the photo doesn't tally with the description on what's for sale. This is what the description refers to Buy Rainbow High Little Dessert Shop Playset | Dolls | Argos

Christmassylove · 08/09/2025 17:14

Hi all. Would appreciate any ideas for my DD’s pressie from Santa please (she’s 7)…I always like her to have a ‘main’ present like a bike/scooter/iPad etc. but she doesn’t need anything this year. Is the Yoto box worth buying? Thanks

Thanks for this. Two more presents sorted

Yeknom · 08/09/2025 17:24

@Christmassylove id say a big yes for the yoto, the big man bought one for my dd 4 years ago and it's still used daily. It's definitely a piece of kit that can grow with your child. Happy to send you a referral if you'd like some money off.

Alternatively I've heard Tonie has just released an updated player but I know nothing about those! :)

Christmassylove · 08/09/2025 17:27

@Yeknom yes please to the Yoto referral

TheGriffle · 08/09/2025 17:29

@Christmassylove my 8 year old is getting a Yoto mini as her main present this year, she loves a bedtime story and this means she can have it in bed with her and sort her own out without us coming in every 2 minutes to sort her cd player or change it.

Oneborneverydecade · 08/09/2025 17:33

We have a Tonie and Yoto. I rate the Yoto more for a 7yo. We have the Mini and it does everything we need it to

TrickyD · 08/09/2025 17:36

DS2’s DP loves whisky.
Various whisky advent calendars keep popping up on my FB page.
Please can anyone recommend a particular version?
I’d like to get her one as an extra Christmas present.
