Last year either the bargain thread or the Poncetastic thread posted that M&S Creme de Cassis was on sale for £5 a bottle. It made lovely Kir Royales but they're not as festive as the C&C Bucks Fizz. I might have to slum it again 😂

Shall we start a mumsnet campaign to bring back the M&S C&C Bucks Fizz? I only found out about it for the first time last year from this thread so I will feel cheated if it is now discontinued.

I'm going to do a couple of those bulb lasagnes for DM and DSis for xmas so thanks for that good idea. Never heard of them before.

Got friends coming for lunch today so I'll be busy prepping, cooking, cleaning etc. Do love it but I sometimes feel on a Sunday that I just want to sit on the sofa with a book/telly on. And today is one of those days.

I know what you mean about Sundays. I'm painting the garden fence (or some of it; there's a lot of fence!) later. I've shifted the housework to tomorrow as it's my Monday off. It's never ending though!

Had a look in one of those Pop Up Christmas Shops (in October !) it was really nice , Didn't buy anything ( as I don;t need any decorations or gift wrap at the moment ) but it was nice to look .

Evening. I'm just about to get in to bed. It's bloody freezing today.

LO is on the mend so was slightly less clingy today. And DH was here all day so I managed a bit of space (wasted on doing housework but hey ho).

Woolly I remember reading that thread years ago and being a bit at it. I'm much more understanding now!

Today we had 'I need a wee, come with me' so went to the toilet only to get tears and eventually 'No mammy, you suppose to be outside, no watch me' - then I stood outside the bathroom which caused more tears and 'I no see you mammy. Are you there?' Will admit it made my head hurt 🤯

Magnolia I would join that campaign, I'll be gutted if the Buck's Fizz is gone.

70 I was very proud of myself when I went to the Christmas shop yesterday. The only thing I brought home was a small set of tartan bows although I'll go back a few times before it closes so I'm sure I'll pick up more

Morning!

It's our 13th wedding anniversary today. We both forgot til I saw a Facebook memory and mentioned it. I do have a card I bought from Whistlefish in anticipation, however he admitted he doesn't have a card!

Day off today. Housework, little visit to mum and dad then an EHCP review meeting at school. Exciting times!

We had the heating on yesterday, Meeces. We've decided that if we're sitting in the lounge and the temp is low, we will put it on. No need for it to be thermostat-based yet, as we aren't always in to need it, and it's not cold enough to really need it to pre-warm the house while we're out / busy!

The time will come (as did with my DS ) when they decide No I'm not coming to the wimmins loo with you and want to go to the gents . On their own.
And part of my brain thought "He's getting independent" the other thought "I have no Jeffing idea who is in there"
So started with the gym toilets and changing rooms - they had no doors except the cubicles , just a doorway in a wall to the changing spaces .

At a Service Station , I stood outside , told him "In/ Pee/Wash Hands/Out. Speak to no-one" , and I must've looked like a basket case glaring at all the men going in Yes YOU. I;m committing your face to memory

Once at the gym he was ages getting dressed , I had to ask one of the men if he could hurry him up . "6yo in a karate suit" , he was idly gossiping to another boy , not a care in the world that his Mother was slowly gnashing her teeth to stumps !

DD had similar to the "Are you there" when she went to a public loo , I had to poke my foot under the door if there was a gap (when she was a little girl )

Happy Anniversary Fluffy and I hope the meeting goes well!
It’s my day off too - I’ve spent my 3 hours child free doing tidying and sorting as I think we’re going to start having a cleaner for a couple of hours a week soon.
I also finally pulled out all the Christmas presents I had hidden away around the house, put them in a giant bag and hid in the attic. I’ve got at least half LOs stuff already

I’ve been popping the heating on here and there as needed. Life is too short to be freezing at home (plus I have no drier so have needed to dry clothes).

70 Lo already tries to send me in another cubicle in public loos. I dread the day I have to send him in completely on his own (although I admit I’m quite a worrier when it comes to him).

Im just waiting to pick Lo up from nursery. Will go home for lunch, playing, chill, then park and swimming lesson later before getting ready for the work grind tomorrow 🙄

I've wrapped a few more christmas gifts 🎁 today
I've also bought a festive trivia game we can play at the table after dinner - I find it helps with convo as 3 of the party are quite elderly now but like a quiz 😊

Love a Christmas quiz, especially with DSis and it gets quite heated when everyone's hammered 🤣

Magnolia I love a quiz but absolutely refuse to participate in any game with ILs. They’re all (DH included) so competitive it does my head in.

I bought dm’s Christmas present thanks to the bargain thread yesterday. I’ve also dug out the Christmas planner and spent some nice time using it last night.

I come bearing good news. I contacted M&S food and drink and they said their party food hits the stores next week so they're expecting the C&C bucks fizz to be on the shelves then also. Yipppeeeee!

I've been in the office today. It's always a long old day, despite being my shortest working day of the week!

That could be a cruel and cunning ploy from the M&S employee to make you go back in there , over and over again.

I think I'll get the Buck's Fizz as soon as it appears. Don't want to miss out!

I’ll be popping into the big city centre M&S on my office days over the next few weeks to keep an eye out. I’ll report back if I find it!

My office day is similar Fluffy. I tend to do 9-3ish in the office and another hour at home so not a long day but the commute and having to split it most weeks to pick up LO makes it feel really long (and exhausting).

Spencer Bears ones Fluffy but nit the pair online .
