They wonโ€™t have room after all that cheese ๐Ÿ˜‚

My Sainsbury order is coming on Monday then any fresh vegetables and missed items I can buy on Tuesday morning ( I;m working Monday and going to drop DH off at work early on the Tuesday )

I think I need to clear out some jars , though i have a BBD 2022 jar of pickle and it is fine (only opened it a month ago)

I did wash the shelves and fruit/veg drawer a couple of weeks ago so just needs a wipe .
After Christmas I'll switch off and defrost it but I'm always on tenterhooks when I switch it back on and wait for it to get back to temperature as it's quite old .

MooseAndSquirrelLoveFlannel · 20/12/2024 17:35

I have musclefood delivering the turkey etc on Monday, and tesco delivering a food order on Monday as well.

I can't remember what I have ordered so it'll all be a surprise! I'm sure the fridge will look amazing by Tuesday haha

Oh, thank you OP - I love this thread so much every year! I don't even know why it makes me so happy but it really does. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Forget block butter, Morrisons had a Santa shaped butter yesterday ๐Ÿ˜‚ Had to physically restrain myself as we're away from today until Jan, but I wanted it SO BADLY ๐Ÿฅฒ

They had a snowman and a Santa last year, they were delicious โ›„๏ธ

I love a Christmas fridge thread, the only thing that annoys me is all the margarine and spreadable butter! Its Christmas buy proper block salted butter, treat yourselves ๐Ÿ˜‚

I have a milk allergy, you will be so disappointed by my fridge.

Becsim · 20/12/2024 18:45

Our fridge is too small. I need a bigger one but itโ€™s built in. ๐Ÿ™ˆ maybe one in the garage?

braved Aldi and Asda today. Hope the dates are all true, as most things are dated 26th!
turkey frozen in the freezer. Not big drinkers but need to find some space for some drinks.

you canโ€™t see it very well but we have a big Tomahawk steak in the middle of the fridge. The only place it would fit!
love this thread

I donโ€™t know why I find it so fascinating looking at pictures of other peopleโ€™s fridges ๐Ÿ˜. Itโ€™s nice to see I suppose for ideas.

There's just me and DDog, with occasional visits from DBoyfriend. DM might pop over at some point....
I go a bit crazy with fancy food now I'm a serious grown-up as didn't have much at all of this as a kid. And I'm a Nigel Slater convert ๐Ÿคฃ eagle-eyed MNetters might spot his apricot brandy on the top shelf. I also made Nigella's Christmas chutney and there's last year's mincemeat lurking in there too. Tried cherries in brandy too but they've gone a bit weird. I think the bottles are mulled wine and Baileys.
Veg is nearly all from Tesco today at 15p.

I got ripped apart a few years ago on here for storing my opened red wine in the fridge, I feel not so alone ๐Ÿ˜‚

It doesn't go vinegary as fast if opened red wine goes in the fridge! :) unopened red wine though, absolutely not. I don't like how supermarkets put red wine for meal deals in the chillers ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Loving thee fridges so far!

Ill be back with mine on the 23rd.

Here is mine! It brings me a lot of joy looking at it. Just fresh vegetables to buy as we have a joint of gammon and some beef in the freezer.

Ooh love that bottom of fridge is deep enough for bottles. Also now debating if I should go and get some clotted cream tomorrow and bake scones one day.

It is very handy indeed.

DH is from Cornwall so clotted cream is a must at Christmas. He has it with mince pies, Christmas cake, lebkuchen, meringue nests.... pretty much everything ๐Ÿคฃ

CrochetMadRosie · 21/12/2024 06:58

Very grateful to whoever mentioned a second fridge!
I'd completely forgotten that last year we hooked up our motorhome and I used the fridge on there!!
Perfect for things that we don't need til later Christmas week...

One year, whilst holidaying in Cornwall, we found a shop where you could pre-pay for clotted cream to be sent out later in the year; and we ordered some for Christmas for ourselves, my Mum and my sister. Two lots turned up-I sometimes wonder if the third one is still festering at the back of a Post Office depot somewhere!

gingeristhenewblack43 · 21/12/2024 08:55

Can't believe I'm sat on a Saturday morning zooming in on photos of people's full fridges ๐Ÿ˜‚ and loving it!

Mine is not impressive, only me and DD for Xmas Day.

Looking forward to the updated photo @twistyizzy with the meat in situ!

Palegreenstars · 21/12/2024 09:43

Iโ€™m so excited. Itโ€™s our first year hosting and our food comes tomorrow but feeling a little nervous about everything fitting in the fridge / running out of cheese!

I love the fridge with the big booze drawer at the bottom.

Nigellasrockyroad · 21/12/2024 10:07

Stupidly, I didnโ€™t book a Christmas delivery slot, so will have to brave a supermarket for the big shop. Meat and fruit/veg is to be picked up from our local butcher/veg stall, but I still need to get the dairy, booze and picky bits.
According to Google maps, the roads around the supermarkets are all backed up already. Oh joy! ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿ™„

I dreamt about buying block butter last night - in the dream I totally ignored DH saying why. It was also on offer, gorgeous creamy butter rolled and wrapped in waxed paper.
So disappointed there is none in my fridge this morning. Do you think I ate it whilst sleepwalking?
I will have to buy some today.
