Already done. Last few bits being delivered on Friday

Cerialkiller · 18/12/2024 18:39

I'm planning on going in early monday with the children, like when they open at 7am 😁

But then I'm only doing all the Christmas eve food plus pigs in blankets, a stuffing, and two desserts for Christmas lunch so it's not all on me anyway.

Taytocrisps · 18/12/2024 18:40

Monday. But I bought all the alcohol last Saturday. And I'm picking up the treats this Saturday.

So that will (hopefully) just leave the fresh ingredients for Monday. I don't need any joints of meat because I'm not hosting on Christmas Day or St. Stephen's Day (26th December).

FlatErica · 18/12/2024 18:45

Picking up the goose on Christmas Eve morning and I'll get the bread, veg and cheeses from the market at the same time. I'm making the stuffings and a vegan pithivier for my husband. We have a pudding from last year.

sprigatito · 18/12/2024 18:46

Mine is booked for delivery on the 22nd, apart from the turkey and the big meat joints which we will choose in person on Saturday.

Bookaholic73 · 18/12/2024 18:47

Veg box being delivered on Sunday, Tesco order being clocked & collected on Friday.

I might pop into Morrisons for a last minute bottle of gin and some tonic 😂

Teachymummy · 18/12/2024 18:48

Already done most of it over the past few weeks to spread the cost. Have been putting bits in the pantry and freezer since October half term.

Online shop coming 23rd and I need to collect our butchers order on 23rd

MummyInTheNecropolis · 18/12/2024 18:49

Tesco delivery arriving Monday morning. Will most likely pop to the shops Monday afternoon for whatever is missing from the Tesco order! I’m not doing the main Christmas dinner though, I’m just providing dessert.

CordeliaNaismithVorkosigan · 18/12/2024 18:49

First thing on Monday. I'm living dangerously this year and haven't pre-ordered anything.

holjam · 18/12/2024 18:50

Doing bulk of it Friday, picking turkey up on Christmas Eve and I'll also get the last few bits then.

PastaAndProse · 18/12/2024 18:51

Have an online delivery arriving Monday AM. Also got an M&S Food order to collect with our turkey and Christmas Day dessert, so if there's anything missing from the food shop then I'll plan to pick it up at the same time. Could nip out again on Christmas Eve morning if I really needed to, but would rather avoid it.

WickedlyCharmed · 18/12/2024 18:53

Monday. I haven’t pre ordered anything, just going out to get it all on Monday.

Collette78 · 18/12/2024 18:54

I can’t even think about it !!

SoySaucy · 18/12/2024 18:55

Saturday morning, as soon as the shops open! Busy afterwards so it’s the only chance I’ll get. Have got the meat in the freezer already, and the store cupboard/treats so just need the fresh stuff.

Anxietysux · 18/12/2024 18:55

Tomorrow

Werecat · 18/12/2024 18:56

Last bits tomorrow - and only because they don’t arrive in the shop until the 19th!

Sortalike · 18/12/2024 18:58

Got 90% of it, will get fresh stuff on Friday.

NoWordForFluffy · 18/12/2024 18:59

On Monday we are:

a. Picking up our Booths order;
b. Collecting our cheese order from our local cheese shop; and
c. Getting our Sainsbury's delivery.

Anything missing from the delivery will be picked up during the day, as we'll get the receipt early enough in the day to sort.

We will then be all done and ready to go!

shellyleppard · 18/12/2024 18:59

Just need to get the last bits from my butchers and the fresh fruit and veg on Christmas eve. Turkey already in the freezer Lol

spuddy4 · 18/12/2024 19:08

I work in Tesco and we are expecting Monday to be the busiest day. Depending on what you need don't leave it until the Tuesday because whatever you need might be out of stock.

maddiemookins16mum · 18/12/2024 19:08

I did some last night and it's in the freezer. I plan to be outside Aldi at 7am on Monday.

doneandone · 18/12/2024 19:26

I'll be at Aldi at 8am on Monday morning

pizzaHeart · 18/12/2024 19:33

We haven’t decided on the menu yet so I’ve got some things but not all. I’m planning to do a list tomorrow and do some shopping in the evening, and then a top up on Monday morning.

ImageMirror · 18/12/2024 19:39

Monday at 5am when the shop opens! Then I’ve got to be at work for 7am, work till 5 then off to a local light show and back home for a party. I’m going to be exhausted 😩

HansHolbein · 18/12/2024 19:40

I’m thinking Monday. Will get to big M&S as soon as it opens. I think that should be fine?
