Inspired by the “what have you got the kids” thread as I got some good ideas from there…
what on earth have you got your partners/husbands/significant others??

my husband is normally quite easy to buy for, but this year I’m struggling!!!

Lego Jaws set!

PassMeTheCookies · 17/12/2024 14:38

Very boring here, but it's just been his birthday and he's hard to buy for.

Aftershave
No7 gift set of men's mini toiletries in a travel bag (he travels a lot for work)
Spotify vouchers (his ask)
A bottle of whiskey
Pyjamas

Fargo79 · 17/12/2024 14:48

Not very original but aftershave, a jacket, socks and boxers. He's a very, very low maintenance guy. He's all kitted out for his hobby which doesn't involve much gear anyway. Other than that he just likes to spend time with me and the kids, walking etc which doesn't require any special kit.

Other years we have agreed to forgo gifts and have a night away together instead. That's always our preference, but at the minute unfortunately circumstances don't allow.

Sausagedognamedmash · 17/12/2024 14:50

A hat holder (for his ever growing collection of caps)
Crocs
Gig tickets
A tshirt he wanted
Chocolate

mamatoTails · 17/12/2024 14:59

Not much, we need a new tv for our room so decided just to do something small each this year.

I've got him some new slippers - we have tiled floors that get cold!
And a football autobiography that I got from a charity shop.
Will add his favourite chocolate and that's it, cheap and cheerful!

ThatTealViewer · 17/12/2024 15:00

Thus far, fancy wool socks and a laptop. Casting about for a last minute third present.

IggyAce · 17/12/2024 15:01

Aftershave
whisky
T shirts
lego camera
sweets
body wash

Givemethreerings · 17/12/2024 15:11

An umbrella and chocolate

We don’t spend much on each other at Christmas. He buys what he wants himself and then we prefer to spend our money on holidays and furniture for the house.

StormingNorman · 17/12/2024 15:13

Lego
Socks
A big coffee table book I saw him looking at
His favourite jelly sweets

I’m still shopping though so he’ll have a few more bits and pieces

I got him a new PC game that was on his wishlist.

We're due our first baby in Feb so agreed no presents for each other, but he's done so much for me this pregnancy I wanted to get him a little treat.

Usually I get him aftershave, new shirt/jumper, new pyjamas/dressing gown, socks, chocolates or something techy (i got him the meta quest 3 last year).

itsallbowlsbaby · 17/12/2024 16:02

Aftershave. A hoodie. A nice pen. A book. A build it yourself camera.

MonkeyPuddle · 17/12/2024 16:04

We’re doing small gifts to each other as we bought a house 3 months ago.
Hes got a new jumper (half price in asda) and a tablet holder.

QuickDenimDeer · 17/12/2024 16:05

2x books
leather bound notebook
insulated coffee cup
mens toiletries set

I‘ll also get him some nice chocolate too before long.

LapsedRunnerC25k · 17/12/2024 16:06

A VR headset.

It's what he wanted.

Floranan · 17/12/2024 16:07

I’ve gone mad this year and bought him in apple pad with stylus

OctoblocksAssemble · 17/12/2024 16:09

Rather niche, but
1, persona 5 canvase art print
2, fallout poster
3, FF7 polygon figure (Barrat)

Guess his hobby 😆

justusandthecat · 17/12/2024 16:11

An Oura ring
Scarf
New pens for work
A hoodie

Arraminta · 17/12/2024 16:11

DH is impossible to buy for because if he wants something he just buys it for himself, there and then.

But this year I think I've played a blinder. He's a really poor sleeper so I've bought him a Snooze Band + an amazing pillow, exactly the same as the one he had at our AirBnB recently which he loved (it's from the States and cost me a fortune in import taxes, but hopefully worth it). Also a couple of pairs of flannel PJ bottoms from Fatface and a tin of his favourite shortbread.

MaltipooMama · 17/12/2024 16:12

OP there's also a thread (I can't link it on my phone!) called "What are you all getting for your husbands/male OHs" which has had loads of responses with some really good ideas on if you can find it, I stole a couple of ideas from that!

Elphamouche · 17/12/2024 16:14

DH’s birthday is Saturday and we’re on a tighter budget than normal so it’s looking a bit crap this year. But I’ve got him:

Lego
Shirt
chocolate
An autograph file
Wallets to go in the file
Pin Badge
Fitbit straps
Pens

Neee to get him something from DD as well.

MrsWidgerysLodger · 17/12/2024 16:14

I have a very low maintenance DH and his hobby requires very specific and expensive kit (so that's usually avoided or saved until his birthday)
So far he's got
Nice gin
Unusual Whisky
Couple of tops
Good wool boot socks
Heated gloves as he cycles to work
Various toiletries (he's usually a grab whatever at the supermarket guy so I splurged for some Clarins, L'occitaine etc
He'll appreciate it but would never justify the expense on himself)

I also do him a stocking which will have silly things like some of his favourite sweets, lip balm, beard oil and suchlike. I usually try and find a small.game like Uno or magnetic chess to throw in there that we can all play in the afternoon.
