Thanks @IlovePond for the title.

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

I've been trawling through the threads trying to find a free delovery code for mountain warehouse....I'm sure there was one.....

ruralwanderer · 21/11/2024 21:31

I think free delivery ended yesterday, there wasn't a code as it was applied automatically at checkout.

There’s wasn’t a code for free delivery, it was a one day offer. FROST gave you 20% off, that might still work.

Friedbanana · 21/11/2024 21:37

Sorry if it’s already been shared but Amazon currently have £5 off the despicable me Fart blaster so it’s £24.75 (still £30 everywhere else)

I don’t suppose anyone knows if the Folio Society do any discounts around Black Friday? I’m just after even a free delivery code as delivery is £10 for a £50 book 😫

Chocolateteabag · 21/11/2024 21:40

@Threeboystwocatsandadog - if you open a new sparks account with a different email address you will get a 10% off clothing code pretty much straight away - will at least get you something off the pajamas

Doubtless you'll then get 15%-20% come up on your first card but their offers are just so infuriating!!

Having ignored the alternative wrist warmers my mum has misplaced hers (turtle doves from a few years ago).
I’ve had a look through but can’t find them. Can someone help please.

seabeach2012 is the eBay seller. Beautiful stuff.

Snowdropsarelovely · 21/11/2024 22:03

Does anyone know how to to get Chilly's coffee cups for less than £32 which seems excessive to me? I have a 10% code but that cancels out the free delivery so there's no point! It's a series 2 coffee cup in blush that I'm after. Thanks

Oppositeeffect · 21/11/2024 22:12

IKEA. Cardiff had a large bin of £1.50 rats by the checkouts a week or so ago - I bought one for the dog (she loves it).

Threeboystwocatsandadog · 21/11/2024 22:15

@Chocolateteabag (that’s what we used to call ds1’s guidance teacher), great idea. Dh really needs a Sparks card although not giving me a discount code meant that I’ve bought all the small boys fleecy onesies from Peacocks but I do still need something for the baby so I will give that a go. Thank you.

issantahereyet · 21/11/2024 18:07

A lady had messaged me that she may have one but haven't heard from her since. If you wouldn't mind having a little nosey I'd really appreciate it! Thank you

issantahereyet

There are a few IKEA rats on Vinted (assuming I have the correct item 🐀!).

Thanks @Iggi999 I will keep looking. I wasn’t sure if they are all the same or different types/features. Appreciate the advice

My son has a nacon wired controller, I think it's this one controller which he prefers to his original Xbox one. He hasn't got the organisational skills to keep his wireless one charged for when he wants it, and the nacon one is a bit smaller than the Xbox one so he finds it more comfortable - he's a smallish 12 year old for scale. It's had a LOT of use (I hate to think how many hours) and lasted well

nicky2512 · 21/11/2024 22:36

@Thelittlehouseonthehill Thank you so much.

I was coming on to post this too. I have it and Blokus in my basket - any thoughts as to which would be the better family game?

@issantahereyet it's the Cardiff one I'm headed to in the morning so 🤞 for you.

Notlongnow1 · 21/11/2024 22:46

@annie1290 I'd hang fire - yoto have Black Friday deals coming tomorrow. Not sure if they usually stack with referral codes or not but will pop mine on the referral thread if you want to give it a go!

Guys I've missed 1.5 threads!!!! This is a full time job keeping up!!

Givealittlebit · 22/11/2024 00:38

Thanks for the crayons Amazon bargain!

Also can't believe how fast the threads are moving this year! This is definitely m lost unorganised year so I appreciate everyone's input

thereisamouseinthehouse · 22/11/2024 00:42

@Elphaba17 genius star is a 1 or 2 player game whereas Blokus is for 2 or 4 people (you can play it with 3 but it gets a bit complicated) or can be used by 1 person. I think perhaps Blokus is the one we play more but I enjoy them both

Trumpton · 22/11/2024 03:55

@VeruccaSalty
my favourite boots are Snow Paw.
I have the tweed and leather brogues with sheepskin lining.
. The ones you linked to look like suede lined with sheepskin rather than just sheepskin but I have been very pleased with mine.

Trumpton · 22/11/2024 03:59

@VeruccaSalty
They have boots on their website at £50
