Long time lurker. Even longer Christmas lover. Here's my tree from last year. Please share photos and spread the joy of the season. I will never apologise for being a Christmas addict.

@ImDuranDuran Me too. I'm a long term lurker and the Christmas threads are my go to and it's the first time I've delurked this year. My favourite threads are the Christmas trees and the Christmas fridges. I really can't be arsed with the virtue signalling stuff when common sense would prevail on most of Mumsnet groups. I'm only here for the Christmas fun. And have saved an absolute fortune over the years on @Reastie and @Sideorderofchips threads.

@IAm16StoneHalloween2024 it's only three of us this year at Christmas but my fridge will be rammed. I mean the turkey takes up a fair amount, plus you don't just have one meals worth in there - Boxing Day etc. Silly people.
No tree yet but we bought one today so will have it done soon!

Cats have already redecorated some of it

Here's ours this year. We've had the same tree almost 20 years & have been collecting the decorations since then! I adore taking them out each year & all the memories they hold

Absolutely love this! This is my plan, we add a few new ones each year. I love taking them out the next year and talking about where we bought them or what they mean.

It is real. We're moving and our usual artificial one died on us last year after 10 years of use, so we got a real one for once!

I really love that, it's so eclectic and characterful. I bet you could gaze at it for hours, all the different decorations on make it so interesting

This years trees are up. Here are a few close ups .
All my trees are covered in decorations we’ve accumulated over the years.
Some are very old , including some which originally belonged to my grandparents.
One tree has baubles collected from all the places we’ve visited, better than a fridge magnet !
The main tree has Disney baubles collected over the years since my children were born. We all get a new Disney bauble each year to add to the tree .
Very happy times reminiscing when the trees are put up and decorated.

that tree topper is 30 years old . We bought it when my son was born. When my daughter was born we bought a star tree topper , which is now on the tree we call the travel tree. The penguins on the dining room tree I needle felted a few years ago.

Aww it's lovely you made the penguins. I tried needle felting last year but just didn't have the skills or patience! 😂So I am in awe of yours. The tree topper looks like new! You've obviously cared for it very well.
