Long time lurker. Even longer Christmas lover. Here's my tree from last year. Please share photos and spread the joy of the season. I will never apologise for being a Christmas addict.

I got a pop up tree this year and, thankfully, the dogs have totally ignored it 😀

I bloody love your Babycham pillow. My mam's Christmas drink was always a brandy and babycham. (She died 21 years ago but we always toast a brandy and Babycham to her). 👍🥂

@Walkley18
Your tree and decorations are lovely.

Where did you get the tree from, it's so full!

Thank you @MonkeyTennis34. I got the tree 8 years ago from Tesco, priced £45. I was delighted and every year DH and I are pleased with it. We'd had a lovely tree before which we gave away when we moved across the country and never thought we'd get anything we loved as much. But we do. I've seen similar trees to this since in garden centres going for hundreds.

All these tree look beautiful. Will be buying ours this weekend. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good tree stand for a real 7ft tree? I usually stick it in a bucket of water with rocks wood to balance it but its a right faff ...there must be a better way! Piccie of last years bucket before being covered with wrapping paper!

We have a Krinner tree stand for ours. It holds the tree very securely and you top up the reservoir with water when needed (ours didn't seem to need much more, it wasn't like an every day thing).

I'm sure other makes will be available, the Krinner one is very good.

We put ours up today. I’d love to have a real one someday…

Mine from last year. Totally unco-ordinated as every bauble/decoration has a backstory 😀. We get a real tree so every year it looks a bit different and last year’s was much too big!!

What a fatty!!

CandlesOrangesRedribbon · 29/11/2024 21:56

We've had two dc and a cat and no issues whatsoever with the tree

CandlesOrangesRedribbon · 29/11/2024 21:57

@Tealfish that tree looks amazing

We also usually do buckets!!

CandlesOrangesRedribbon · 29/11/2024 21:58

@Pumpkittenspice looks beautiful, but why someday?

Futurethinking2026 · 29/11/2024 22:03

Last years mammoth real tree and the last time we had an artificial one. I’ve bought a brand new artificial this year. Very excited to get out all the decs on Sunday!

My life long dream is to have a bay window for a tree!

TulipTuesday · 29/11/2024 22:10

My tree is the same every year, thinking about changing it next year though

@Pumpkittenspice looks beautiful, but why someday?

I just can’t justify the extra expense of getting one each year.

CandlesOrangesRedribbon · 29/11/2024 22:27

Oh yes 😳

BeachRide · 29/11/2024 22:30

£12.50 from Tesco! Amazing bargain. A beautiful potted one which will be planted out in the garden in the new year.

We always get a real tree but I'm tempted to have a potted one for the bottom floor too. Just a little one for the dining room. We have a townhouse and the kitchen and dining room are downstairs. I haven't enough baubles for another big tree but a little tree decked out via the charity shop would be a lovely addition.
Our tree will go up on the 12th and it's the highlight of our decorating 🎄
