@NobodyGivesADamn thanks for the title

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

If you go on tge Beer52 site you might get offered the chance to join Whiskey52 for £8 shipping for your first order.

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 01/11/2024 10:28

50% off at Pandora when you spend £59. Now it's only on certain things but I thought I'd post it. I'm holding out for reductions on some of the cheaper charms.

Took a chance on the last bits in the Sainsburys toy sale and my local big store still had some bargains.

No Buckbeaks, but I found this massive marble run for £20 down from £80. Quite chuffed as DS will love it!

Lego Chamber of Secrets is down to £74.99 on Very, seems a cheaper price than I've previously seen so I've ordered as it was on my daughter's Christmas list!

LePetitMaman · 01/11/2024 11:30

Are there any codes for free delivery at Smiggle? Calendar seems good for £15.... But as it's a sale item no codes work on it, and the delivery is £4.99 unless you spend £50.

christmasfish · 01/11/2024 11:34

I noticed the Cuisinart sale is still going and I got the cordless chopper for £20 (free delivery) instead of £90.

SWEETDEAL15 gets 15% off on Candy Kittens site, I bought a £20 mystery box and the £12 advent calendar for £27

IlovePond · 01/11/2024 09:30

Hi,

FLASH25 gets you 25% off lots of things at LF today.

I am a bit annoyed that the Laneige lip balms go down to £13.50 with this discount, (even cheaper than I paid the other day, plus with these reductions I would have spent more to get free postage 😹)

The L’Occitane a/c is included - goes down to £51.

I’ve tried this on both website and app and doesn’t work. I guess it was literally available in a flash?!

I've just bought myself the food processer as mine was a wedding present - 29 years old

IlovePond · 01/11/2024 12:29

@Alpolonia - oh my goodness - it’s gone! I had stuff in my basket but code has been removed! Saved me some money, but such a weirdly quick offer🙀

Zoopet · 01/11/2024 12:37

This is very cute and a good bargain!

Can someone recommend a nice looking nutcracker for kids? My 4-year-old is obsessed with collecting walnuts, stamping on them and eating up the insides so I thought a nutcracker would be a good idea!

Searching on Google, it's tricky to filter out ballet performances and decorations 😁 Any tips? Thanks!

Mitre Linen (hotel suppliers business) have a range from about £20 - £70 - I get my towels from them and the quality is good https://www.mitrelinen.co.uk/bathroom/bathrobes/_/a33-2?sort=max-price-asc

Some are on sale at the moment. Just bear in mind that as a supplier the fighres on their website are ex VAT.

Distractiontactics · 01/11/2024 12:58

@WeAreTheWeirdosSanta Were you logged in when you were offered this? I can only see the regular price, although I’ve used beer52 before, no problems.

mybrainisbusybeingawesome · 01/11/2024 13:06

Does anyone have an Argos code? I had some but didn't need anything so posted them on here. And of course now I have a £40 spend 🙃

My 15yr old daughter, who has previously had zero interest in make up or skincare, declared last night that she'd like to try some new looks out. I was thinking I could put a hamper together for her, but I don't really know where to start! Any suggestions on good products for teen skin, and any nice bits for a starter in make-up?

Having got an Asda rewards app last week after you all said I already have £12 in my cash pot and this offer today - thanks, it’s definitely worth checking.

Not sure if you meant one that looks like the traditional soldier, but Solstrene Grene sells a cute one like a toadstool, hand sized. You put the nut inside and screw down the toadstool top until the nut cracks. I saw it in store, but can see it's sold on many sites via google.
