Sorry - I panicked with the title Blush

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

That's what made me wonder if they're legit.
Too good to be true?

@audubon do you mind sharing the gammon deal please, I've scrolled back but can't find it.
Off to costco tomorrow on the hunt for a gabby dollhouse. For anyone else looking, I believe it's £80 for the deluxe model, it includes 6 bonus rooms.
Thank you

Edited

Costco had gammon joints with an offer of £7 off each one. Not dependant on weight. They were all around 30 before the discount in the one I was at.

I've just spotted A Game of Cat and Mouth on Bargain Max reduced to £9.99 and then there is a further 20% off with the code BOO20 which brings it down to £7.99 - we love this game and I have never seen it so cheap.

Thank so much for this. I’ve seen it around but never paid much attention. Great to have a recommendation - it also has fantastic reviews. It’s over £30 on Amazon. I looked around on the site to see if anything else caught my eye, but I just ordered 3 of these in the end, all for under £24 with free delivery. We love boardgames, but sometimes you just need something fun for a couple of you. It’ll make a great gift as you definitely don’t need to be a gaming family to enjoy this sort of game.

Exploding Minoons is down to £7.39 (63% off). Was slightly cheaper earlier this year (£6.64 at end of August), but still a good deal.

SJP born lovely 100ml edp is £14 on amazon. seems like a good price

Iggi999 · 29/10/2024 23:06

I really like the look of the Fever Tree Advent calendar, but £70 is a lot. Does John Lewis ever have discount codes (that would work on a product like this?) Have already checked can't use Blue Light card.

IlovePond · 29/10/2024 23:15

@Iggi999 - I have had a couple of £5 rewards from JL but sometimes there are exclusions. The ones that are not specific to a particular area such as beauty are quite rare though.

I would think it unlikely they would give a reduction that could be used on the Fevertree, but it’s a possibility that it could be heavily reduced after Xmas. I know that’s not much use to you now, but JL were practically giving them away near me last February!

EvilHerbivore · 29/10/2024 23:22

Does anyone have a code for any discount at Debenhams please?

Well this evening got expensive! But I appreciate the discounts from you all.....I have just bought 2 sets of the Laneige Midnight Minis via Look Fantastic, using Quidco and using the discount code REVEAL- so just over £14 each set and free delivery.

I also bought 2 of the car and mouth game for £8 each plus £2 delivery (so games equate to £9 each)- bargain!

Just had my delivery from Hot Diamonds and would highly recommend. Ordered a silver bracelet for DSD, originally £60, then £30, then £15 and free P&P with various codes! Packaging makes it look extra special and I know she will love this. Thanks you to all of you who provided codes!

What's the codes please? X

@TimPat theres an advent calendar with those books in being released this year. Maybe that’s worth considering?

FiddlefigOnTheRoof · 30/10/2024 06:33

Does anyone know of any White Company discounts or sales? Trying to get some nice generic gifts from relatives (no food or drink unfortunately) that would brighten a difficult Christmas, and thought a hand soap set might be nice. Has to be easy to transport which rules out lovely plants/flowers.

Kids karaoke machine on a lightening deal for £11.99 plus an extra 10% off if you click on the voucher amzn.eu/d/bm6y5fB

ImageMirror · 30/10/2024 06:37

@FiddlefigOnTheRoof i don’t have any discounts but they always do ‘White Friday’ on Black Friday. If I remember correctly it is 10% off (maybe 20% but I might be totally wrong there) and free delivery
