Sorry - I panicked with the title Blush

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

Looks like a fab set! I've ordered one for DD and one for DNiece.

Restlessinthenorth · 29/10/2024 18:57

The cult beauty code won't work for me! Argh!

Still nothing on the Cuisinart nutri bullets. Got a confirmation email when i ordered but nothing since

I ordered them a day or two after spotting the original email, got no confirmation email, but they arrived a couple of days ago, no email or text or any sort of notification - just a knock at the door! o fingers crossed yours arrive soon...

Sunshine415 · 29/10/2024 15:45

If you ordered from Cuisinart, did you get any tracking info?
we’re now away for the next few days and my lovely aunt is going to pick it up. Just hoping I’ll be able to tell her when 🙈
thank you!

I did - but not until the day after it had been delivered.

Summertime1992 · 29/10/2024 19:05

My bridal VIP bag is out for delivery tomorrow with Royal mail. It was despatched Wednesday last week.

I've been looking at perfumes for Christmas gifts. Debenhams online have some prices that seem 'too good to be true'. Has anyone bought from them recently, are the perfumes Genuine?

I assume if it’s the genuine Debenhams website they would have to be. But I’ve ordered some CK Be so can always let you know when it gets here

Yes, I have recently bought Marc Jacobs "Honey" and Cabotine from Debenhams. I'm 100per cent sure they are genuine.

ToffeeSquirrels · 29/10/2024 19:21

Much appreciated @Badknitter
Debenhams is now owned by Boohoo, just genuinely seemed massively lower prices than elsewhere.

Just to join the teacher gift chat- obviously don’t feel pressured to buy a gift. However if you do, I’ve always appreciated a Christmas decoration for my tree. I think of the children when I hang them on my tree each year

I have actually made air dry clay ornaments with their names imprinted on for my LO to paint (limited to one colour at a time lol) as the gift tags! Just need to find something to tag them too!

Yes, I got the machine, pods and a smaller welcome pod pack all together in one large package.

Me too I didn't realise I would have to have an app though. I am a total technophobe

cinnamoncaby · 29/10/2024 19:39

Got my Nespresso machine and 92 pods! I let Dh to open it and he was happy. I usually give mispriced items as a present for Dh.

imnottoofussed · 29/10/2024 19:48

@GoodIsGoodEnough £14.22 at look fantastic with code 40PLUS and I think postage is slightly cheaper there too but worth checking.

cloudengel · 29/10/2024 19:50

My 5yo nephew has asked for a Transformers advent calendar. He's autistic and it's one of his special interests (the other being geography). Has anyone seen one about at a good price? My sister saw one on the Asda website, but it's out of stock, and there don't seem to be any on Amazon.

GoodIsGoodEnough · 29/10/2024 19:53

Thanks @imnottoofussed I've already bought them plus a couple of other bits I needed. Cult beauty has a promo running where you get £5 account credit if you spend £25 too!

IlovePond · 29/10/2024 20:05

Hi, LF have an offer on at the moment. Code: REVEAL to see what your discount is. Mine was 22%. I bought the Laneige lip balm set as I have wanted to try it for ages.

I had £10 credit, so ended up paying just £7.99, (as I had to pay delivery of £3.95). I was tempted to spend more to get free delivery, but that’s how they get me every time 😹

hungryhippo7 · 29/10/2024 20:07

Does anyone know where I can find a cat snowglobe?

Wellwhoknewthat · 29/10/2024 20:10

@hungryhippo if you're not adverse to AliExpress I'm sure I've seen them on there

IlovePond · 29/10/2024 20:16

@hungryhippo7 - they’ve got some on Etsy.

I got quite excited myself about the Disney cats snow globes until I saw they were £100 not £10🙈

You could also try TKMAXX.

Froggy623 · 29/10/2024 20:21

Just picked up some navy Haviana’s for £8 for DP from Amazon.
