Sorry - I panicked with the title Blush

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

Would anyone happen to have any discount codes for the oddballs site?

They have a sale on a lot of items for the next couple of days

Those of you have have received their Nespresso offer - did you get the machine and the pods at the same time? I’ve only got a box of 80 pods delivered but no machine…!!!

No, but I did see that it might come in two deliveries. On an email maybe?

With code JELLYXMAS

I can’t get it to work @bluesky, do you know if there are specific terms and conditions?

Gustavo1 · 29/10/2024 16:52

I was in Sainsbury’s today and lots of the leftover toy sale items have even deeper discounts on them.
sadly my local store is small pickings were slim but they had a joie baby doll care set with stroller, cot and high chair for £15, pull my finger game for £7.50 and some great prices on Barbie.
I was after the car, doll and helicopter set but no luck :(

Hedjwitch · 29/10/2024 17:06

Still nothing on the Cuisinart nutri bullets. Got a confirmation email when i ordered but nothing since

imnottoofussed · 29/10/2024 17:15

Just had an email about the Amazon Elemis to say it was a pricing error but they will let me have one of the three I ordered as a gesture of goodwill.

Now to decide whether to gift to one of the intended recipients or keep for myself.

Planning to get the qvc bundle on Monday too

I have signed up so will wait and see later. Any Jellycat discount is always welcome 💰

kkr168 · 29/10/2024 17:40

@audubon do you mind sharing the gammon deal please, I've scrolled back but can't find it.
Off to costco tomorrow on the hunt for a gabby dollhouse. For anyone else looking, I believe it's £80 for the deluxe model, it includes 6 bonus rooms.
Thank you

User236792 · 29/10/2024 17:41

Doh! Just realised the non-Amazon caveat 🤣 apologies!!

Long time lurker here. Thank for the Busy books mention, I got the Nightmare before Christmas version to use in our homemade advent calendar 😀
My contribution to the thread: if you have the John Lewis app, don't forget to check the Rewards section. Mine includes a £10 voucher to use on women's fashion instore or online. Minimum spend £10 and some categories are excluded like Hosiery, Nightwear, Lingerie, Swimwear, Shoes, Handbags, and Accessories.
Hope it's useful to some of you.

Mine said hosiery was excluded but then let me use it on charnos tights. A bit of a bonus as I didn't really need anything else so it's worth giving it a go.

Audubon · 29/10/2024 17:49

@kkr168 it's £6.29/KG they're all a similar weight to the one pictured but then they take £7 off each one at the till.

Has anyone who ordered the Bridal Beauty Box mentioned recently received it yet? My tracking has been stuck for days saying Royal Mail are waiting to receive it.

DangerDangerHighMoisture · 29/10/2024 18:07

What is the cheapest way to get fahlo bracelets please? I know there were mega discounts last year? Was that for black Friday?

hoopdeloop · 29/10/2024 18:13

Just to join the teacher gift chat- obviously don’t feel pressured to buy a gift. However if you do, I’ve always appreciated a Christmas decoration for my tree. I think of the children when I hang them on my tree each year

OrangeSmartiesTasteDifferent · 29/10/2024 18:14

@paintyhands
Yes me I ordered but not received, I emailed them. Fingers crossed they arrive soon x

Thank you @GoodIsGoodEnough - I was planning to get this for a Christmas gift already. Could you please let me know the code? I’ve scrolled back a few pages and can’t see it. Thanks

I've been looking at perfumes for Christmas gifts. Debenhams online have some prices that seem 'too good to be true'. Has anyone bought from them recently, are the perfumes Genuine?
