@Cupofteaandbiscuits and @NewtyCutey loved the happy reunited story with Otis.

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

Oh no I’ve ordered 24 for my 8 year old as the size guide said that was 8-9 years - now I’m worried it’s going to be huge on her! 😬

It should be fine, our son is only just in 9 to 10 years so hopefully it won’t be too big for your daughter 🤞

Thanks 🙏 She’s just started wearing 8-9 clothes and is very slim. I may order a 22 as well just to be on the safe side. It will still be cheaper then buying an authentic shirt 😂

Just been on a wander round B&M. I didn't find the bargainous gingerbread houses but I did find these rather cute Christmas cookies. 2 for £1- perfect for putting on my team's desks at work 😁

Hobby craft have paint your own money boxes half price at £2.50. Lots of different ones to choose from. They also have £5 off a £15 spend so I managed to get 7 as gifts for £10

Isonthecase · 19/10/2024 13:53

Does anyone remember the decathlon code please? I know there was one but it's not coming up in search

Flubadubba · 19/10/2024 14:04

Aquabeads pouch down to £3.04. Will be good for a stocking filler and/or the infant school present pile (we have had these kits previously). It's also currently £13 in The Entertainer (much more than Amazon are saying the RRP is)

I've purchased from them before, and can vouch for the good quality.

Hobbycraft have a load of jellycat style food plushies (though not fluffy) at £5 each or 3 for £12 on the website. I haven't seen them in real life but I might have to nip and check out the pretzel for my son's stocking. I saw drinks, fruit and veg and bakery but there might be more.

It may be a glitch but the Elizabeth Arden website has allowed me to purchase the icons blockbuster without the £45 minimum spend, it has also added a free eight hour 3 piece gift and a free full sized mascara and the usual 2 samples

Donsyb · 19/10/2024 15:45

Lots of gift sets at Costco if you’re a member/ know a member. Spotted these 2 hot chocolate ones and some tea ones. Also had a kids toy ooni pizza oven 😂

Which one did you order?

YesItIsNovemberAndMyChristmasTreeIsUp · 19/10/2024 15:54

I think the glitch happened as I had a few items in my basket. I then received the email with the free gift. I went back on the website to enter the code and i then deleted the lipbalm I had in my basket as it was in the free gift. This took my basket down but it kept the blockbuster set

Those are so cute, may have to make a trip to our local B&M 😃

BOHOMOON have goodie bags (no idea why it autocorrected to capital letters), 3 items for £15 and they are included in the current 3 for 2 offer (use code AUTUMN). They have earrings/rings/necklace/bracelet/anklet goodie bags to choose from and you can specify gold or silver, so you could have nine pieces of jewellery for £30. I’ve decided to take my chances and order some.
They also have one of their goodie bags reduced to £8, it’s the horoscope one, x3 pieces of horoscope jewellery (you choose your horoscope) for £8.

Cos1970 · 19/10/2024 16:22

Just seen this, half price in store and online at The Range

Also (same post so technically I'm not filling up the thread🙂), if anyone has an Argos code (£50+ spend but I could get to 60 if needed) it would be greatly appreciated.

CandyRaining · 19/10/2024 17:16

Dinomum24 · 19/10/2024 17:40
