@Cupofteaandbiscuits and @NewtyCutey loved the happy reunited story with Otis.

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

Does anyone know of any sports direct codes at all please? Need to very unexpectedly replace a much loved pair of trainers and can only seem to find them on the Nike website direct or sports direct 🙃

I posted this earlier but it seems to have been deleted! There's 10% off from EE rewards for Nike EEATUGPK9KPF

You also get 8.25% cashback at Quidco. I would be so grateful if you used my referral code if you don't have Quidco. You get £15, I get £25

Turn my back for 5 minutes and you're gone! Thank goodness I managed to find you.

Borris · 20/10/2024 23:17

TherebytheGraceofGodgoI · 20/10/2024 23:18

@jocktamsonsbairn maybe because of the referral link, they have to go on the referral board I think

This is a bit of an odd one, but I’m trying to find a vicar garden gnome for a comedy present for a friend… has anyone seen such a thing?

Or even one without a beard that I could paint as a vicar?!

It's not cheap but found this one:

Priest Gnome

Streetcornerchoir · 20/10/2024 23:45

@Greydayswithoutfags I wonder if you could get one of those football ones with the scarf draped round the neck and paint that as the stole? I love how random this is, is your friend a vicar?!

Normallynumb · 21/10/2024 00:12

Thank you for the Cuisinart info
I have just bought my DS2 and GF the wine bottle opener as a housewarming gift!

Look Fantastic are doing the Lancome La Vie Est Belle best of box for £50 instead of £102.59.
It is the 50ml perfume, some mascara and a couple of face things.
I know it isn't as good as the 50ml perfume last year, but the perfume was such a hit I've got people asking for more of it lol. Xx

Thank you so much for sharing this, exactly what one of the teens was asking for. Perfect. Managed to get a few stocking stuffers too at some pretty good prices. Quidco for 7.5% (fingers crossed!)

Ruralretreating · 21/10/2024 02:46

Picked up the Dunelm £5 mince pie toys. They are much larger than I was expecting, too big to go in stockings. Not as soft and fluffy as Jellycat toys but still very nice and good value for the three DCs.

Theraffarian · 21/10/2024 06:39

Re cuisinart , some things that were out of stock last night are back in now . however I would recommend looking at the reviews on Amazon for the item you are going to buy . For example the perfect temperature kettle has amazing reviews on cuisinart but less favourable on Amazon , I quite fancied it before I checked . Good price reductions though .

bizzey · 21/10/2024 07:19

Ohhh you little toe rags !!

I stayed away for a while ...to pace myself...no I m looking t kitchen stuff 😂..

Is the a code for the Cuisinart ...or is it just the bargainious price ?

bizzey · 21/10/2024 07:19

I have 2 mini chopper/processers in the basket.

30% off at white fox with code shop30

Does White Fox usually do a good Black Friday deal? I am slightly itching on 30% off purchase but don’t know whether to hold out!!

Breathedeeper · 21/10/2024 07:53

@InDreamland Nice one! Such a good feeling to get the main present sorted, and for a good price!

ChristmasMad1 · 21/10/2024 08:24

Gruum offers !!

@BadgerFace last year they did 40% off for Black Friday but DDs first choice wasn’t in stock so I’ve just gone for this. I’m not brave enough to risk it!

Thank you @Summerdew, I think I will go now! This is my first foray into white fox and wondered if you knew the best size to buy for an average sized just-12 year old?

Can anyone recommend bargain bamboo socks....have previously bought from Bam, and they're lovely, but not a bargain!

Not sure if mentioned as have quite a few pages to catch up on but TK Maxx always have bamboo socks at good prices

Summerdew · 21/10/2024 09:02

We buy the smallest so xxs/xs DD1 is tall and skinny and it’s huge on her and DD2 who is getting one for the first time is an average age 11 size - they will both be swamped but apparently it doesn’t matter 😄

IlovePond · 21/10/2024 09:02

@SharonMack17 - Sainsbury’s had men’s bamboo socks - I didn’t look for women’s.

Vimaybe · 21/10/2024 09:05

Amazon have mystery packs of individual hot wheel cars for £1.69 each (Amazon says that's a 60% discount). Great for little stocking fillers 😊
