Thanks @Felith for the title!

It was a toughie to pick the thread title this time!
Thanks to @RainbowZebraWarrior for the title Xmas Grin For those interested, our fate is best before June of next year and the offer was regarding Guylian choices at B&M.

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

Tamagotchis are £10 on Amazon at the moment, lowest price in a while I think

Thanks for the recommendations for the toomies barista bath toy. Managed to get it at Argos with a £5 off code and then used my nectar points to get it for £2.50!

What is the code for this? Noticed it says 25% off with code. Thanks!

Hotel chocolat offer on QVC. It’s a pre launch so not sure when it will expire.

Thank you for this, a great deal for splitting for presents, I went via topcashback and they have 4% for existing customers and 9% for new customers specifically on this offer

Clucket87 · 12/10/2024 08:14

weebarra · 12/10/2024 08:16

@PumpkinSpicedTea the code is BABY25, I think if you click on the offer underneath it copies the code for you.

Delahot · 12/10/2024 08:32

@weebarra thank you so much. Would never have thought of there. Found a lovely set 🥳

Has anyone bought snacks boxes from Amazon please? There a lot from Japan, Korea, Turkey. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations. Thinking of buying a couple to split across stockings.

Hello all!

If you live near a kenji or even a city with an international supermarket then you can make your own for cheaper.

HyggeTyggeDotCom · 12/10/2024 08:37

boden currently have 25% off selected styles (including Christmas collection) with code N7V7. Same code gives 15%off sale items.

Brilliant thank you I was just grumbling about the price of these!

ArthurChristmas22 · 12/10/2024 08:38

@RJnomore1 thank you! That's great to know (and I'm doing stocking for that age group too 🤣) @winewolfhowls I have thought about that, and I'd quite enjoy it, but I may need to post!

Thank you for posting this - I was hoping they'd drop in price somewhere as I needed two. £10 saved :)

winewolfhowls · 12/10/2024 08:50

If you're looking for stocking fillers, my husband and son love these Japanese metal puzzles. Sounds weird but they feel really good when you hold them!

I love these threads, finally posting! Thanks for the Solace Jewellery tip, I've gone for a rose gold mystery box using the first 25% code so under a tenner all in (for me though, not for presents haha).

Sorry if this has been mentioned (have read this whole thread but not all of the others)- but House of Fraser Outlet section has some good deals. I was suspicious due to some of the reviews so paid with PayPal, but I got the Barbie Dreamhouse last week for £100.90 (posted) and it arrived when they said. Cheapest I've ever seen it!

Does anyone have a Joules code please? I've used the 10% off first orders previously.

hby9628 · 10/10/2024 22:26

lol I've just searched through to find the solace discounts! the one posted by the pp is the best but if the code below doesn't work there was also
FIRST & FIRSTORDER

I got mine today & very happy with them. Off to check the value on their website!

Did you find they were good value for money when you checked?

SIL loves Neal yard but slightly on pricey side for me. Anyone know if they do a sale before Christmas? Or how to possibly get a good buy? Many thanks in advance you Christmas Kings and Queens!

They often do special offers in the run up to Christmas - particularly on their gifts

DressOrSkirt · 12/10/2024 09:06

OatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 12/10/2024 08:33

No @DressOrSkirt, 100ml here is cheaper and £100ml here too. Just definitely worth looking around especially when you think you are gifting something worth X but actually selling for Y across the board.

Sorry, I thought you meant the discounted price on look fantastic was the same as full price elsewhere!

LionMummyRoar · 12/10/2024 09:11

Urgh I'm so sorry for asking but- I have looked on anthropologie website and the Christmas mugs are gorgeous and now must have some for hot chocolate station presents. I can see a 10% off code and a bluelight 10% that can't stack, and money off for a large purchase, but delivery etc is expensive. I remember someone talking about it earlier but can't find the thread! Does anyone know any other discounts?

HyggeTyggeDotCom · 12/10/2024 09:17

Sorry the code is N7V9!!

Dolphintrainer · 12/10/2024 09:21

@winewolfhowls those puzzles are right up my son’s street! Is there one you’d recommend as being particularly liked?

LizMay29 · 12/10/2024 09:24

Morning! Not capable of fancy links but wanted to share a bit of info for anyone looking to buy a PS5 console. EE store currently have a discount on the console (£415, includes one controller) and controllers (£49.99 - certain colours only). You can get bluelight discount of 10% for the controllers but not the console, bringing them down to £45.

Depending on what games you get there's also a decent bundle on Smyths - £429.99 for the console, one controller, Lego starwars and Lego Harry potter which, comparing to EE console price of £415 means you get those two games for £15. So I've ended up ordering the bundle from Smyths and the extra controllers from EE.

If anyone sees any good offers on games then please post. Dithered and missed the recent Argos offer.

ShangPie · 12/10/2024 09:34

@Delahot for the festive cotton single bedding, try looking for brushed cotton - it’s pure cotton but much more snuggly, so is good for colder nights. For some reason I often find it in red / green designs which could be interpreted as festive!

Supermarkets are usually pretty good for single bedding - try Asda, Habitat at Sainsbury’s and also don’t forget TK Maxx.

Sadly the best prices are either in January for the legit Xmas designs, or in March when they are clearing out for spring and summer designs. Def something to put on the Sales Shopping list!
