Thanks @Felith for the title!

It was a toughie to pick the thread title this time!
Thanks to @RainbowZebraWarrior for the title Xmas Grin For those interested, our fate is best before June of next year and the offer was regarding Guylian choices at B&M.

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

So I don't have a QR code for this yet but will keep an eye out and share but ...

An excellent gift for a fashion loving teen is the 6 issues for £6ish that the likes of Vogue, Elle, Harpers Bazaar do. You get digital access too and often an excellent free beauty gift which you could keep for yourself maybe?! . We got DD one after her exams and she loved receiving a perfect crease free magazine in the post.

Look out for flyers in the magazine you want and they are often on newsagent or shop floors from falling out when people browse. Obviously I would never suggest blatantly going into say, WH Smith's to just look through one and accidentally let the flyer fall into your pocket Grin

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 15/10/2024 08:49

Oh and of course it's only a bargain if you remember to cancel before the 6 months renew ... we got Vogue and reading the small print you had to give a million years notice so as soon as we received the first issue I emailed and cancelled. Got confirmation this was done a few days later

Thanks. Just ordered this.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 15/10/2024 09:30

A few weeks ago I ordered a small perfume atomiser from L'Occitane and I've just now had a go at filling it and managed not to spill any thanks to the little funnel it has. I'm really pleased with it and it looks so cute and means I don't have to lug my beautiful but heavy bottle when we go away.

I'd recommend as a lovely stocking filler but either order if you a) can't get free delivery and would rather have a "thing" to show for equivalent cost or, b) wait until they do automatic site wide free delivery as then if you use a new customer 10%code you'll benefit from both as you can't stack codes.

These threads are going so quickly now, I can't keep up! I'm finally getting some actual purchasing done, instead of just planning, but I'm hoping you lovely lot can help.

I was looking to get the Aldi baking set and saucepans set, but both showed delayed on the website. I've not seen any for sale on Vinted yet, so I've no idea if they've been and gone and I've missed them, or if they're still to come.

If anyone has seen them, or spots them soon, could you please let me know?

Has anyone used this site? Is it reliable?

any idea on sizing if they are normally a size 2xl is M&S say?!?

thank!

I bought 3 LFC kits from Soccer03 and they were great. My husband thought so too. I bought kids ones though and so not sure about adult sizes, although I did air on the side of caution and sized up because I knew I wouldn't have been sending them back and would rather them too big than too small. They look how I would expect them to size wise, although as they're for Christmas, I haven't actually tried them on the kids, it was more of a quick check and then hidden away.

Could someone remind me of the best small thermal printer for teens for homework, revising etc. I can’t find the chat now after looking back through the threads. Many thanks

Just came to ask this! I should have bought one on prime day, but got overwhelmed with choice and not understanding which is better in terms of cost of paper refills.

I ordered mine on 29/08 and I THINK (if I'm looking at the correct delivery notifications) that it was delivered on 20/09. So it shouldn't be much longer for yours x

I ordered September 14th and kit has arrived today, no discernible difference between it and the kit purchased at 4x the cost from the shop at the side of the ground as far as I can tell anyway. Printing on the back is neat and crisp as well so very happy.

Amazonmulu · 15/10/2024 11:51

@LovesAutumnLeaves that's fab! Hopefully I'll get it in the next two weeks 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Thanks so much!

These definitely weren't out at my local stores on Thursday so hopefully it is just delayed. I'll keep an eye out for you though!

ProbablyOnlySellOne · 15/10/2024 12:29

My local B&M had boxes of 10 Hot Wheels cars this morning at 2 for £20, making the cars £1 each which I think is about as cheap as you can get them. Don't really need 20 more though! I think they were £12.99 for one box of 10 which didn't seem especially bargainous.

I also picked up the really cute Foodlings soft toy mince pie from One Beyond for £2.99, thanks very much to the PP for the tip (sorry can't remember username).

Just the boots or their whole range? Boots-wise you really do need to try them to make sure they fit properly but I found a ladies pair for £299 at Humes which I wish I'd found before I spent nearly that on having mine repaired after years of hard use.

Thanks for all the schoffel tips! I don't think he's wedded to that brand so I'll have a little mosey around the other options too, just tricky getting something that will fit in with the actual country types!

The range. DP already has all their boots! Was going to get him a belt
