Thanks @Felith for the title!

It was a toughie to pick the thread title this time!
Thanks to @RainbowZebraWarrior for the title Xmas Grin For those interested, our fate is best before June of next year and the offer was regarding Guylian choices at B&M.

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

Maybe let's not all jump on @sorryiasked any more who has apologised and move on? It's a lovely corner of MN ⛄🎄 ❄️

Well said.

For those needing to feel excited or panicked this morning here's a
Xmas Countdown!!!

Chillilounger · 13/10/2024 11:59

Waitrose Christmas slots are open. I was a bit late to the party so only managed to get the 20th...I am usually more on the ball 😩

Solmum1964 · 13/10/2024 11:59

I received my Whistlefish order last week and was very pleased with the quality.
I was looking just now to see if there were any offers still on ready to tell a friend.
As well as the cards 10 for £10 and notelet tins 2 for £10 (the tins are beautiful but I don't know the quality of the notelets but assuming similar to the cards) they are currently giving a free notelet tin when you spend £20.

The teatowels are also lovely and are 2 for £10 (or £5.95 each) plus the 20% off if you're a new customer.

I got 10 cards, 15 Christmas cards, 3 tea towels and the free notelet tin for just over £25 (to get the free postage)

@TheRedheadMummy for DP I have for him a print for his office, a giant pepper mill like you get in restaurants, some whisky chocolates and am looking to get a pair of le creuset espresso cups. HTH :)

dramalamma · 13/10/2024 12:39

Was there a Woolovers code someone mentioned or was it just fhe clearance? Have filled my basket - just dint want to miss out on a discount! 😁

PaddingtonTwinkles · 13/10/2024 12:39

Big thankyou to whoever mentioned the Lucy and Yak dungarees. Always been a fan of dungarees, but never invested in a quality pair. Now I have. Oh my! They are great and so comfortable 😊

HoHoFuckingHo · 13/10/2024 12:39

Argos code for £6 of £60 if anyone can make use of it, I'm not in the market for anything from Argos prior to it expiring of course. Obviously the minute it expires I will need something Grin

I’m looking for a Dyson hairdryer and the instax camera. Does anyone know if they’re likely to reduce in price or be included in Black Friday sales?
Trying to decide whether to buy now or hold off in the hope of a better price.

Edited for spelling

Edited

I got a reconditioned by Dyson hairdryer on ebay a couple of years ago which is excellent with no problems. It was reduced as reconditioned [but looked as good as new] & there was an extra % off at the time. My friend bought the same last year with the same offer so I think it's on there pretty frequently depending on stock levels.

fishfingersandchipsagain · 13/10/2024 13:45

Thank you so much @Usernamepleasework That worked for me with a new email address.

It took about 12 hours for the email to come through, but I got £10 off £60 at Argos.

Agreed. It's fine to agree to disagree. Let's be kind.

tabbycat985 · 13/10/2024 14:26

Monsoon have a great sign up deal, there a pop up for your email & mobile number & you get 15% off full price & free delivery
Afraid it's individual codes or I'd share mine!

watchuswreckthemic · 13/10/2024 14:29

@PoisedGoldBiscuit this looks great for the random match I've had from the local food bank of a child to buy for.

Revolution have another make up sale on- Alice in wonderland and mean girls seem to heavily feature in the discounts. They've also got some 'hair electricials' as they call them but obviously worth a price comparison.

Also they have packs of Christmas cards for £20 which are good value. I just got 36 Christmas cards, 1 birthday card and my Christmas wrap for just over £25 (to get the free delivery) as unused the JOIN20 code and got the free notelet tin 😊

Can anyone suggest where & when would be the best time to buy stronger with you aftershave for teen DS? His list doesn’t consist of many items this year but they are expensive items like a Ralph Lauren quarter zip jumper and joggers 😬

My teen ds wanted it also. I got the 50ml from notino. It was about 8 pound cheaper than most other places to start with and I used a discount code which I think was on this thread or the previous one. With delivery it was about £53 I think.

PinkPanther27 · 13/10/2024 14:40

@IlovePond did they refund you for the parcel? Hope it's all sorted.

Vimaybe · 13/10/2024 14:47

Not sure how much of a bargain this is but just seen Squashmellows in my tesco for £9, there were some very cute Halloween ones.

Also H&M have lots of wooden toys in their Christmas section. There's some more unique ones inc a sushi one which i saw someone after earlier, sorry can't remember username!

You really need to be upfront about any gain you make personally from these codes for free boxes. (Isn't it usually they get a free box and you get £20 off your next box?)

Here's the referrals thread where everyone posts theirs and states what they stand to gain in return.
