Thanks @Felith for the title!

It was a toughie to pick the thread title this time!
Thanks to @RainbowZebraWarrior for the title Xmas Grin For those interested, our fate is best before June of next year and the offer was regarding Guylian choices at B&M.

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

Would anyone have a discount code for Sea salt please?

I’ve pm’d you.

@issantahereyet
• Pokky sticks (like long biscuit sticks covered in various chocolates or frostings)
• Filled mochi (either the packaged bags of mini ones, or trays of fresher ones) - good for that satisfying but not overly sweet hit
• Hi-chew sweets, especially grape ones
• Tinned tropical fruit, like lychee. Eat (incl syrup) out of a tall glass topped up with fizzy water and ice cubes.

I'd say white rabbit sweets but they're not soft-chewy anymore, which ruins the experience.

Saw lots of these in the foodie section of TK Maxx this week!

Can anyone please recommend a charging station/dock/stand for Nintendo Switch joy con controllers?

We've had this one since we got our switch, at least 5 years ago and it works really well. We use the same make for xbox controller chargers too.

hby9628 · 12/10/2024 19:24

@sorryiasked thanks. The one with the pink on the sleeves is nice.

winewolfhowls · 12/10/2024 19:29

Dolphintrainer · 12/10/2024 09:21

@winewolfhowls those puzzles are right up my son’s street! Is there one you’d recommend as being particularly liked?

We have only got about two so far but have played with many more at other people's houses! I don't think you can get go wrong with any, but maybe consider the different difficulty levels

winewolfhowls · 12/10/2024 19:33

Didyeaye · 12/10/2024 10:39

@Mumto3thatsme and @winewolfhowls is it just the comic print tamagotchi you found at £10? It’s noty
favourite design but I can definitely cope with it for the lower price 😉

Yes, the others seemed to be more costly!

ShangPie · 12/10/2024 19:35

@hby9628 if she supports a particular cause, it’s worth looking at some of the charity online shops as they often have clothing. SIL has a lovely navy one from RSPB with a nice design and the tiniest RSBP logo.

Houseofsardines · 12/10/2024 19:49

Help please- does anyone have any discounts on a Bambu 3d printer? Or can recommend a similar 3d printer? They are ridiculously expensive.

Scout2016 · 12/10/2024 19:51

@ShinyPrettyThings87 thanks!

marshmallowmix · 12/10/2024 19:55

Fancyateapottea · 12/10/2024 19:57

Just brought a couple of heavily discounted coats from Tresspass. I signed up to the newsletter and got a 20% off code too- I assume it’s generic TP- WELCOME24

hby9628 · 12/10/2024 20:01

@ShangPie that's a cute idea. Thanks.

Nearlyadoctor · 12/10/2024 20:34

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 12/10/2024 20:36

@Felith As far as I know their codes never include the velvetiser.

Sign up as VIP member for free. That's the only way to get velvetiser cheaper direct from Hotel Chocolat

Nearlyadoctor · 12/10/2024 20:38
