Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

I ordered yesterday morning and had a dispatch email this morning.

According to the website the Onaie slippers are all handmade in London, leather, wool and sheepskin. I'm wondering if they're too good to be true? Free delivery too.

DH says they look "interesting " with a smirk on his face ... wondering if they're too may be a bit too bright for me

The slippers that D's has been asking for are not in the men's section..just the ladies !

Surely men and women's feet aren't that different ha ha ..

He has to do a lot of stuff at his desk and his ankles get cold ..so he has always been on the look out for the boot types.

We have tried some...but they always loose their support after a while.

I’ve had a number of those type of slippers before. I was going to order something different this year (for me) but can’t go wrong at that price! Fit is true to size and the suede softens and moulds to the foot after a little while.

Somebody asked in one of the other threads about Christmas matching pyjamas. Sainsbury’s have some lovely velour one in. £12 for size 9 to 10 years and £18 for adult size 12 to 14

Regarding matching PJs, M and M Direct have some. Not too expensive either.

A few pairs of reduced crocs on asos including these pink sliders for £16.50. The white ones were £20 I believe.

My soon to be teen grandson has a keen interest in zoology and last year requested a crocodile skull , which he was lucky enough to get in a glass case.
He has asked for similar again this year, as in some more animal bones (skull , skeleton)
He wants study and draw them.
If any of you amazing mumsnet people have any light bulb moments, please share. 🙏

@Timelass there's a seller on Etsy who sells crocodile skulls so he should have some other 'oddities' of the same nature. I don't remember who it was as it was last year, but he's based in America and reasonably priced. I'll have a look to see if I can find him again, but have a look on Etsy if you haven't already ☺️

@Timelass DH is already whinging about the amount of packages arriving following this thread, so if he doesn't pack it in you can have his...

What are the slippers everyone is talking about and what’s the deal with them?

It's not a skull or anything but could you put that with an experience day? The world of Crocdiles in the Cotswolds is really good.

Meant to add you van also do a keeper type day with them with the different animals. If I remember correctly that wasn't too expensive.
