Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

For those that ordered the benefit stuff, have you received it? I have only had the confirmation email and that was on Thursday.

I know they want a chocolate fountain, they are such a pain in the arse to clean, if memory serves me right, you also have to add oil to the chocolate to get it to flow properly.

@RainbowZebraWarrior - thanks again for the link - I posted earlier that my Tazzies cashmere gloves had arrived beautifully wrapped and sent very quickly. I liked them so much I went back and ordered 3 more pairs - ostensibly for presents but think some may find their way into my love drawer...... and the basis they are half the price of Turtle Doves. So sad to hear she has MS - as someone who had to give up their job for health reasons I really feel for her.

One of the staff in my local store said it normally drops in price on 2 December

I am on the lookout for shower steamers for Christmas, the ones I've seen on Amazon are c.£10 for a mixed pack but I think I'd prefer to pick my own scents - the person they're for wouldn't enjoy floral, for example, but all the mix packs have floral ones included. I can't think of where else to try apart from Amazon, but I'd go to a real life shop or order online - doesn't need to be a pack, might even prefer the option of buying individual scents? Thanks in advance Christmas bargain hivemind!

Hi, I got my Secret Sales £20 mystery box today. It had 8 items in it. I got DH to count them, as he’s supposed to putting them in a DiY advent calendar for me. (The original idea was that he did the filling himself, but that was always doomed to failure!)

I wasn’t supposed to be looking, but there seemed to be a Lancôme product, (probably the same one as a previous poster reported), and a red nail varnish. SS claim the value is £100, but I am not sure.

I asked DH to give me something out of the box now as I needed cheering up today. On being asked to try again he produced a really cute GS Harajuku perfume bottle. I think it’s lovely!

There was also a small hand sanitiser - this is the second time I’ve had sanitiser in a beauty box and I think it’s a bit weird. (I like sanitiser probably more than the next person, but it’s NOT a beauty product!)

Don’t know if I would buy the box again, but the cute bottle was a nice surprise today!

When did you order? When I emailed them today they said they are currently picking last Sundays orders…. I think I ordered Sunday or Monday and mine hasn’t been picked yet
