Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

@FernArable thanks so much! Ordered, what a bargain! Now to decide whether it's for DD Christmas or for meeeee 😄

Blessedbethefruitz · 27/09/2024 08:16

Which cookies makery oven is it please?

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 27/09/2024 08:17

Oooh just noticed 6.8% on TopCashback for Benefit ... may not track as it's using a promo code but worth a few minutes extra to try ...

AsparagusGirl · 27/09/2024 08:22

Could anybody who got it last year please tell me more about the beast lab (shark creator) that I have open in a tab from a lovely suggestion this thread? Is it something my 6 year old nephew (and his parents...) are likely to enjoy or is it just absolute plastic tat? £33 seems like a good price considering it was £90 last year 😂
Also wondering about the Tom Gates advent calendar as he is an advanced reader. Still catching up on the thread but amazon basket is slowly filling up...

bigchanges1 · 27/09/2024 08:32

Does anyone else have a Vodafone code I could use please?

Ilovepugs2017 · 27/09/2024 08:34

Does anyone have a Vodafone code I could use please? Please pm me :) ironically I have joined Vodafone a couple of days ago but waiting for my rewards to activate!

UpTheMagicFarawayTree · 27/09/2024 06:19

I'm not sure if it's already been mentioned, but the Cookeez Makery Oven is down to £15.99 on Amazon this morning. Dd has wanted one for a while, but I just didn't think it was worth £30-£40, I can cope with that though!

We got one last year, wish we'd got it at that price mind ! It was a one hit wonder. Well worth it for that price tho as the magic of it was loved

SpottyBumPony · 27/09/2024 08:38

DS6 loves the beast lab but it’s a one trick pony. You’ll want to get some refills as well. You make the ‘beast’ once then further packs have accessories in for it.

He saw it on YouTube and asked for it for 6 months 😂

ShinyPrettyThings87 · 27/09/2024 08:48

@Blessedbethefruitz I'm not the one who found the bargain but it was this one, unfortunately it's gone up in price again.

The grumm set looks great (not gunna lie - for me - not a gift!). If anybody could please share a code I'd really appreciate it! Thank you

Ilovepugs2017 · 27/09/2024 09:17

Thank you to whoever shared about the grumm offer. I’ve just contacted Vodafone about it as my rewards are still not active and they issued me a code via the chat ❤️❤️🙏

Elpheba · 27/09/2024 09:17

Further reductions at smiggle, I was waiting to place my order and have just done it as I’m not sure stuff will go much lower. Got loads for the present cupboard and some stocking fillers- scented pencils are £1.40, those ankle swinger skipping things are £2.10 (down from £10), mix your own putty is £2.10 (down from £8) and generally just loads that is 60-70% off.

imnottoofussed · 27/09/2024 09:20

I think there's normally a separate Vodafone thread where people post their unused codes

imnottoofussed · 27/09/2024 09:23

Although doesn't look like one has been made yet this year

elb1504 · 27/09/2024 09:29

I don't think it's been mentioned but there are loads of magazines 5 issues for £5 you just have to remember to cancel the subscription after the first 5. There's loads of different types of magazines if you Google magazine you want you can find what offers there are, most send a hard copy and digital copy too! I've just done womens health for £5 but lots of different ones.

Yeknom · 27/09/2024 09:30

Thank you for the benefit mascara code!

Keekabooyou · 27/09/2024 09:36

Thanks for the benefit code can’t believe I’ve only just noticed my rewards on ee!

Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse · 27/09/2024 09:41

Thanks so much for the Benefit code.

Ilovepugs2017 · 27/09/2024 09:41

thanks for the benefit mascara code - debating whether to order though as reviews say it’s very smudgy due to a change in formula and people are ending up with panda eyes 🐼 anyone tried it?

Thanks for this, I’m gonna have a look as DD has been after some scented pencils! Might be some stocking fillers on there for her!

I've used it for years and it's not smudgey on me, if you apply it properly and let it dry fully before getting up and getting dressed or brushing hair etc. It needs to set. It's the best mascara honestly and no panda eyes at the end of the day for me.

Thanks for code, I got it too- what a bargain.

Summerdew · 27/09/2024 10:09

I think the benefit is now sold out - can’t add to basket anymore.

IggyAce · 27/09/2024 10:15

@Summerdew i can’t either, hopefully my dh had more success with the gruum offer.

MaybeItsJustTimeToStop · 27/09/2024 10:17

Gutted I missed out on the mascara that was such a good offer!

Ilovechristmasfalalalalalala · 27/09/2024 10:27

Where can I get the turtle dove wrist warmers from please? Cheaper than their website. My teen daughter suffers terribly with cold hands to the point her fingernails go blue and google tells me these will be best for when she's on her laptop/phone.
