Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Has anyone seen any good deals on trampolines? DS has asked for 3 years now and I'm considering giving in. Was hoping now would be a good time for reductions as end of summer!

Can anyone advise on England football kits please. I am completely lost! Don't mind spending a bit of money and it being a main present but want something of decent quality. If its a bargain then even better! I vaguely remember a website being mentioned in past years but not taking much notice as it wasn't relevant

@widefootwelly what you will get if you pop to target, walmart and some dollar stores is loads of little things that are cheap and different especially for stocking fillers. Stationary, toiletries, sweets etc. Also clothes for kids, some different PJs etc. Not necessary cheaper than here, but a little different.

@Babynumberthreeee we have bought football kits from Footballsbest4u website. I paid around £30 for personalised shirt and shorts and can confirm they wash and wear well

Edited as I have just remembered they have about a 3 week lead time so need to order well in advance

@widefootwelly I also highly recommend finding a Trader Joe’s and getting some of their peppermint Joe Joes especially the ones covered in chocolate. They’ll have a lot of different and fun Christmas treats but those are the standouts for me. For non-Christmas but different and fun for gifts peanut butter pretzels are scarily addictive and hard to find here unless you have Costco membership, and their version of the Reese’s peanut butter cups in dark chocolate are amazing.

Thanks to those who flagged the Asda Toy Sale- I was able to get a 3 pack of Monster High dolls for £27.50 which is a great price and I hadn't seen the multi packs before.

My twins are crazy for MH and had each wanted a different doll, the individual dolls are usually £30 so this three pack was a real bargain!

Who was asking about Tesco clothing sale? I thought it was just 25% off jeans, but it's actually all adults clothing (with clubcard) in my local one.

i was struggling to find an advent calendar for 13 yr old dd. Too old for some, too young for others. So I’ve decided to make one for her this year with a fill your own bags kit.
