@Givealittlebit thanks for the offer, I really do appreciate it ☺️ but I've ended up buying another gift for her now. Oh, I've never even seen the Barbie nail varnish! Just had a Google! Blue does seem an odd choice... But it does actually look nice on the models hand!

Blessedbethefruitz · 22/07/2024 22:26

Can we talk squishmallows? I see them mentioned every year but haven't needed any until now! Is it only official squishmallows that come in the 20inch size? I'm loathe to buy more stuffies unless they double up as pillows. I saw aldi do their version but they all look small?

JamMakingWannaBe · 22/07/2024 22:38

Aldi do giant squishes. DD wanted one in ToysRUs for £50. A similar size in Aldi was around £20. Keep an eye on their in-store leaflets. We definitely bought one well before Xmas last year- Sept/Oct time I think. (But you need somewhere to hide/store it).

Yalz · 23/07/2024 03:52

Some good prices in Tuesday £10 offers from Boots, including some Christmas-present-suitable things.

I bought two lots of this Roc serum for £10 each, among other things, and somehow managed to pay £30.84 for items apparently with an original total of £92.98. I gained 395 Advantage points as well.

It helps that I have their Over 60s card - that gave me over £5 of extra savings, so worth signing up for that and an Advantage card if you qualify.

psuedocream3 · 23/07/2024 06:59

If your doing a Boots shop don't forget to use code AFF10BEAUTY for 10% off a £40 spend.

HEIHEI23 · 23/07/2024 07:42

The works had lots of craft kits down from &8 to £2. Make your own wax melt/clay pot etc. they’re good for someone who’s crafty but doesn’t want to spend a fortune on all the bits for a new craft!

villamariavintrapp · 23/07/2024 08:05

Costco (Edinburgh) had the giant squishmallows in store for around £15

Wait4nothing · 24/07/2024 07:03

Any suggestion on the best place to buy croc charms?

I haven’t started on Christmas shopping yet but need to keep the list small this year.

psuedocream3 · 24/07/2024 10:34

Sorry, to add to the Boots deal...

JamDoughnut (it's a giftcard purchasing mobile phone app) gives 4.5% back on purchases. The giftcard and cashback is instant, so you could buy your Boots giftcard and use it on Boots website immediately.

Yalz · 24/07/2024 10:50

To add further to @psuedocream3 ‘s most helpful post about Boots, one of the things which counts as a premium product towards the £70 spend is this beauty box of minis for £28. It says it’s worth £92.23.

psuedocream3 · 24/07/2024 13:16

Just to update... the Boots offer for free gift has now expired as they have run out.

Yalz · 24/07/2024 17:42

If you don’t mind buying from Snags, they currently have a clearance sale at 40% and 50% off.

If you have a 7-10 year old to buy for you might like the mystery bags of 4 pairs of “stay cool” shorts for £12 or tights for £18. Actually, that’s their size A/B, and many of their sale items are available in that size, too.

Notlongnow1 · 24/07/2024 21:31

I'm intrigued @yalz - why would people mind ordering from Snag?

Just been looking at their bras if anyone knows of a discount code?

Where’s the best place to buy jellycat toys?My teenage daughter wants one ( as they seem to be a craze amongst her peer group) but she definitely doesn’t need one so don’t want to spend a fortune!

I feel like I always say this but vinted have them for about half price! You can get them brand new with tags.

Also try your luck with charity shops and boot sales - lots of people on TikTok find them in these kids of places really cheap then sell them online for much more!

Newnetter123 · 25/07/2024 10:52

Sorry new to posting but have enjoyed watching the Christmas thread for years, always such good ideas and helpful folk on here. Not Christmas related (sorry!) but buying my son a Bruder crane for his birthday and was hoping it wasn’t to cheeky to ask if anyone had a Smyths toys discount code they weren’t going to use? I have been trying to find any kind of discount code to bring the mega price down a bit but have had no luck so far.

psuedocream3 · 25/07/2024 11:29

@Newnetter123 Unfortunately there isn't a discount code box on their website anywhere to be able to apply a discount code online. Very occassionally they send out codes regionally if there is a new store opening, and nearer Christmas they 'may' have £x off an £xx spend instore only but it's not been consistent over the years. They aren't on cashback websites and I can't find them on any of the discounted gift card apps either. Sorry.

watchuswreckthemic · 25/07/2024 13:07

In store in Superdrug by the tills they seemed to have the bits of last years pre teen girl type stuff- washable nail polish, headbands, animal key rings etc mainly all for 50p.
Been advised it will be in all stores they have stock.
