normally This time of year dunelm, matalan, sainsburys etc have their mad Christmas clearance on the go. I pop out for something and am gone hours laden with decorations and things for next year.
in sainsburys last night some was reduced, but not by that much. Where I’ve got wrapping paper for 50p before or 75% off Christmas bakeware the bargains just aren’t there. Stock levels also seem to be lower in shops. So I think they’ve ordered wisely to sell out and not have to discount T this year.

Hi, I think someone was looking for mint Terry’s chocolate oranges a couple of threads ago. They had some in my local Iceland yesterday.

My Chuckling cheese order has not arrived. I messaged them a couple of days ago and they said it was being packed and I would receive a dispatch email when it was on its way - nada! Fortunately, I don’t really need the cheese or fudge hampers but I need the Christmas beer as that’s for a gift.

Its me that keeps linking to Vera Tucci. You’d think I had shares in the company. I don’t! I actually haven’t bought anything from them this year on account of my three sock advent calendar from White Stuff and the sock shop stash. I did buy two pairs of iPod type earbuds, for £7 for both, three years ago and they are still going strong. The mystery boxes are great value too.

Apart from the beer and my Sainsbury food substitutes shop, have finished shopping. Thank you for all the great ideas on the threads. I have taken advantage of many of them. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas, a ((gentle)) Christmas for those for finding things difficult at this time and a Peaceful New Year to all.

Could someone please remind me where the best place to get the Ariana Grande perfume was please?

Single thank you for making my Christmas  I love these and have them in tan and have hankered after black for ages but too tight to pay full price.

Ordered and went for delivery to a locker in January (so no delivery £) and applied what I thought was a £5 gift code I received for doing a survey. Turns out it was a £15 code so they have cost me £2.50!!!!

One order for a princess nail set for DD and a face mask for me which came to 50p!

Then a lol umbrella for DD which was £12 but came down to £2!

I hope everyone has the best Christmas possible and that al of the bargains go down well. My best bargain is probably a second hand Hot Wheels MASSIVE garage I got via fb from my son. I have no idea where we're going to put it but he is going to LOVE it! I'm looking out for some great January sales buys too.

Thank you to everyone on these threads, it's been my first year on them and it had helped getting me in the Christmas spirit. It's been a tough year with a difficult bereavement among things, I'm grateful for all the posters as it's helped me to get excited about Xmas admin again

I know there hasn't been the bargains of previous years but I've still had plenty - white stuff socks, Oliver bonas, piglets pantry, the real eBay oodies, a reminder about Quidco that meant more great deals (eg Lego!), hotel chocolat, Argos codes, Ariana Grande perfume I've never smelled but was influenced by... 😂 I hope you all have a lovely day on the 25th x

@Threeboysadogandacat thank you for posting the Vera Tucci socks link. Mine turned up today (really surprised as I wasn't expecting it till after Christmas) and they are so soft and warm 😁 January dog walks will be a whole lot nicer now!

Anyone else having trouble with the boots website adding postage costs when it's supposed to be free delivery?

This is random but following the boots tip from a pp, I love benefit eyebshadow but they don't sell it anymore. Does anyone know of a make that's near the benefit style, colours?

I don't know why but I can't order anything from the Boots website. Any item that I have tried to add comes up with 'The user activity cookie is expired'

Anyone know why this might be or what I can do as I've got a few bits that I would like to order.

Yay! Just check your order when you collect, I collected my ones and there was something missing from each order and despite them saying in store you will get an email I havent had anything about refunds for the missing items. I will chase up but as its using a code I'm not sure what will happen.

I'm hoping for more luck with my ones being delivered!

Thanks everyone who has contributed to this thread - it’s been great! I’ve probably bought things I didn’t need but have bagged lots of great bargains and hopefully suggested some good ones too. I have a few last minute bits to get tomorrow - does anyone know when the supermarkets tend to have the best reductions on Christmas Eve?

I'm surprised people can still use the claire's code. I tried yesterday and today and just get this error message. I've tried 3 different payment cards, so assume the code is the issue 🤔 any ideas, anyone? I mean, I don't really need 6 pairs if false lashes, but on the other hand, I really do...

I paid with PayPal & didn’t try my card so maybe worth trying that?

Have you tried clearing cookies on your browser or trying another web browser?

Also it only worked for me if I was paying something it couldn't be £0 total. And it didn't like it when the order was split as some click and collect and some delivery.

@SootspriteSearcher I had a couple of missing items in my Claire's click and collect too. My collection email listed everything item by item and showed how the discount had been distributed and how much I was paying for each item that was in stock. I had to scroll down quite a bit on the email to find it.

Are you a member of and signed into c-club? I got an error until I signed in again (I was already signed into Claire’s itself).

Thanks for the code. I’ve just used it once on an order with 6 items+, I could have had 2 x almost free orders but decided not to take advantage or it could lead to orders being cancelled.

@SootspriteSearcher Yes I had this issue too, my orders had bits missing despite being confirmed on the collection email and showing that it should have been picked from the shop floor on the collection paperwork. It's really my word against theirs because I didn't check instore, so anyone collecting orders please remember to double check what you are collecting.
